She's Alive!

(On a New Bright Day; At Ere Temple)

Kirwi, one of Master Lee's disciple, was extremely joyful today.

She said, "(Excited) A new dawning of the day; I am really excited to go now. I can't wait to show him my skills which I've improved."

"At least wait until your friends come. I must say that you all are going for just some hours, not for the whole year that you're so excited." Master Lee said.

Then Kirwi said, "(Happy) I know that Master. But I want to show Rex how good I've become since the last time. He'd be really pleased with my progress."

Seeing Kirwi so excited, Master Lee couldn't will to speak but said, "It's great. But, you better focus on improving yourself rather than proving it. That's why I'm sending you all to that place for training."

"I understand master, but I am still confused about one thing. Can I ask you?"

"Yes." Master replied.

"Master, yesterday you've told us that someone is arriving here; who is that?" Kirwi asked.

"Oh, Master Xiao asked for my favor about that person. It left me speechless when he said he was sending that person here. But don't worry, once that person arrives, you'll know it then."

"I got it, Master." Kirwi said. She got that she'll have no answer for her question, and has to wait.

Thinking that it's the time to go, Kirwi went to bring her horse.

After few minutes, the other two disciples of Master Lee arrived — Rex and Sho, on their own horses.

"Finally you've arrived. I hope you've prepared everything for the big travel." Master Lee said.

Rex answered, "Yes Master. We're prepared. (Not find Kirwi) But, where's Kirwi, Master?"

"She'll come in a minute, don't worry. Just remember this training as an exercise for polishing up your skills. Don't be hard on each other." Master Lee said.

Rex and Sho agreed.

By the time their conversation ended, Kirwi, returns with her horse and all of them left the Ere Temple together.

While on their way, Kirwi started to remember about those times when she came in this place for the first time, and begun her training with the horse-riding.

She is kind, polite and well-mannered, but can be quite chaotic and challenging, when provoked. Once her mind is set upon her goals, she would do anything to accomplish it. Her only negative trait is — She's hot-headed who gets angry easily. And surprisingly; she has a crush on Rex.

But in the case of Rex, it is hard to tell whether he feels the same or not. It's because he's only interested in his training and improving himself — To the point of exhaustion.

Rex also has all the qualities of a man which women can't find in other men. He's a dignified personality who's supported by his Master Lee, which makes him respected by his juniors. If we compare him with Beijinglia, the only difference we'll find that he is a guy, and she is a girl.

More than it, he is charming, good-looking, and so attractive which do makes a lot of girls fell in love with him at first sight. But he never liked any girl, and would never. Kirwi did the same and even tried to confess about her love, but he accepted her as his friend at last.

Other than these two, Sho is another level of a trainer. He is termed as the 'All-rounder' by Rex for he could do everything perfectly. He is understanding, sensible and a good friend of Kirwi and Rex too, but more than that he is a good chef. Furthermore, he is a hard-working man of 19 years; just like Beijinglia. But, he has a good sense of humor — whenever he gets the chance, he teases Kirwi to the point of getting beaten by her.

...---And this story belongs to these trainers and their diehard contribution to Tiger Valley....

After leaving the Ere Temple, they proceeded slowly. For them, this day was same as the other days — Unpredictable.

They went to the river shores of Central Town for their training of Archery. That place is called Veilis. It has the beautiful imagery of nature with the shallow river and the dense forest beside; after a plain and large area in between - Best for the vacations.

"What a sight! No matter how many times I come here and see this, it's always beautiful." Kirwi said, admiring the nature.

Sho replied, "Yes. But this time, we're here for training, Kirwi. (Asks Rex) Shall we start, Rex?"

In reply, Rex nodded.

Thus, after their preparations, they soon started their training without any delay.

The situation was familiar for them — Just like their every training sessions.

Sho said, "I'll go first. (To Kirwi) Since it's your first time, you'd be nervous, right?"

"You bet." Kirwi said, being indifferent.

Sho wanted to mock Kirwi, but he didn't waste his time on it and turned serious. He positioned himself and was ready to shoot his targets. Once he gets the chance, he released the arrow, and it pierced straight into the target but not in the middle.

"(Dissatisfied) Man, I thought it'd be in the middle..."

Kirwi said, "It's not that good."

"At least I did my best. Let's see what you can do. You look quite confident." Sho said, giving her the bow and arrows.

"Yes."

Kirwi recalls about her training she did before and shot her target, but her shot was bad — The arrow was nowhere near the target.

Seeing this, Sho laughed. He tried to say, "So, this is what you wanted to show —"

But Kirwi went to him and punched him on his face.

Rex, who observed Sho and Kirwi, he understood where they lack. Kirwi went to Rex and said, "(Disappointed) Sorry Rex, I really trained hard to show you my improvement. I-I think it's my first time to try Archery. I have never done this before. So..."

But Rex said, "... It will take time for you to master since you're not an expert in long range attacks."

"I know, but..."

"It's understandable. No one can become a Montara Trainer in one night." Rex said. He then went forward.

After a while, she said, "(Sigh) I don't know why we are doing this?"

Then Sho said, "Ah..... So silly; Kirwi, it is important. It helps to increase our sight to strike our enemies easily. Especially, your eyesight."

Kirwi said with a funny face, "I know that. Don't teach me, or I'd beat you again."

Rex said, "Okay, now don't pick up a fight. (To Kirwi) You stand aside and watch how it's done. I'll show you."

He took out his bow and arrows and positioned himself to shoot.

Once the arrow left, it pierced through the mid of three target boards at speed and strike the red mark on the tree. It was impressive for Sho and Kirwi.

Rex said, "Once you master it, doing this would be a piece of cake."

Kirwi, impressed with Rex, went to him appreciating but tripped over her feet and fell on ground. Shocked with it, Rex asked, "Are you okay, Kirwi?"

"... Yeah."

Sho helped her get up and said, "(Teases) Your plans will never pass Kirwi, admit it."

"(Furious) Stop making me angry if you even dear your life!!"

"YOU BOTH! Don't let me lose my temper or out of you two, someone will die. We aren't here to fight. And please Kirwi, take care of yourself." Rex said.

She replied, "Okay, but I'll see him after we return."

Giving Sho her piece of mind, Kirwi went far aside and thought of her silly excitement. "What a day; How bad can my life be to suffer like this...? Am I worthy for them?" She was disappointed, but something happened - Kirwi felt something touched her feet.

She exclaimed, "What is it?!"

Turning back, she found fingers out of the bushes. She removed the bushes and saw something which horrified her.

Her high-pitched shriek startled Rex and Sho, and they went to her.

"Are you okay? What's wrong? Why you screamed?" Rex asked.

But she fell on her knees, shivering with fear. It worried Sho.

"(Concerned) Hey, stop scaring us. Speak what happened?!" Sho exclaimed.

She said trembling, "A... A... I saw something..... Terrifying!"

"What you've seen? Tell me where is it?" Rex asked her.

She said, "A... Bloodied, hand. In.....in......in the bushes. Go, check it. Quick!"

Unable to explain it clearly, Rex went on his own to check it out and was horribly shocked to see a blooded body of a girl — She was Beijinglia.

Sho and Kirwi gets startled to see it.

Sho said, "(Horrified) She.... She is a girl. But her body is... bloodied. I don't think she's alive." Kirwi grieved, "Oh no."

But Rex said, after checking her, "(Relived to find her breathing) Don't decide her outcome yet. She's still alive. We've to hurry and take her back to the Temple, or she'll die."

He took her in his arms and tried to went, but Sho stopped him and asked, "But, what Master will say.....?"

Rex replied, "...I'm not worried of what he'll say. At first, we've to save her. And, it's my responsibility to tell Master about it, don't worry. Take everything and come after me." And he went with her already.

Kirwi was left stunned. She thought "I've never seen Rex so serious..... For a... Unconscious body, which has no chances to live? .................... What's this feeling?"

Sho then shook her and asked, "Daydreaming in day? What's wrong? We've to catch up with Rex or he'll get missed by our eyes, come on." But Kirwi stopped Sho and asked, "Does Rex also have much feeling to take a girl like that?"

However, Sho gave her a confused look and said, "What do you mean? I can't understand. Kirwi, I don't want that we forget our ways back to the Temple. We're already late. Now come on."

Beijinglia POV

Where I'm? What I'm doing? Why I'm feeling agony all over my body?

I tried to open my eyes a little. I then saw a male face who looked serious. Furthermore, I wanted to see him and ask that why he is taking me and to where? But, my pain won't let me do that. I was all wet by the blood, even my face wasn't visible. That horse rider attacked me with such brutality to lose my 'vision' and mind, that's too cruel. My anger wanted to make him pay of all those bruises.............. But, I don't know where he fled?

However, I just listened to a soft male voice, saying, "Please be alive. I'll save you." It was a serious voice.

By then, I lost control over my senses and get unconscious again.

(Ere Temple; 10 A.M.)

They weren't late. It was just 10 A.M. in the morning by the sun, and it took him just 15 minutes to reach the Temple. His horse is so fast.

Meanwhile, Master Lee was waiting outside for them to return, but was confused when he didn't saw Kirwi and Sho with Rex. And also...

...What Rex had carried in his build arms? A blooded body of a girl, huh?...

Master Lee asked, "What you've found Rex? You weren't in training? And, where are Kirwi and Sho?"

"Master, please be understanding of her situation. I may not be able to answer you now. But, while our training, I've found her." Rex said with some concern in his tone.

"A dead body—"

"She's alive, Master.

"... Alive?" Master doubted, seeing her bloodied body.

He continued, "Do you really want that I must heal this stranger?" And Rex replied with modesty, revealing his request, "Yes, Master. Please save her. She's losing her breath."

And, Master agreed and told him to keep her in his (Master Lee) room and Rex hurried.

Master looked at Rex. He said, "(Sigh) This guy is too hard to deal with..."

By that time, Kirwi and Sho arrived too, but — were too exhausted.

"Finally we came back!" Sho said, being too tired and fall down from the horse. Kirwi just rested on it and said, "He is too fast."

"Children, you're late." Master Lee said.

Sho get up and said, "Sorry master, but we were lost in the forest." And Kirwi said, "Yes, and we can't find Rex too."

"He returned back. (Serious) Well, I'd like to talk to you both and Rex. Remember to come later." Master said with some seriousness and went.

Sho said to Kirwi, "Kirwi, Master isn't that angry on us, but quite in much temper I see."

"He'll ask us about that girl. I hope Rex had told Master about it before we've returned, or we'd be in great trouble." Kirwi said with tiredness.

"I guess." Sho said to himself.

Master Lee POV

...Half died and half alive. I have cleansed her from her overall blood which covered her body....

...Her clothes were all ripped like someone tried to force her. I had no choice but to cut it before treating her. During this, I also found a big scar on her back, like anyone has tried to slash her from the sword, but I couldn't find any bloody scar on her face and neck....

...I've given her the treatment which took 2 hours to complete. Now, she is out of danger and just need to recover her energy. I can't imagine a girl can also be harmed like that; cruel. Who could do such a thing?...

...Bruises were all over her body including that scar I saw on her back and on her abdomen region. Maybe someone wanted to kill her. But unfortunately, she's alive. I wonder how she withstand that pain, such a brave soul she is....

But most importantly......

...Who is she? Why she's here in Tiger Valley? To which place she belongs? Her unconsciousness is not allowing me to read her mind. She don't seem to be a native to Tiger Valley. (Doubts) But wait, her green hairs, her face line; all matches with Anza's pattern. (Amazed) Is she the one that Master Xiao was talking about?...

My eyes just widened with shock after realizing it.

(2 hours later)

The time has gone far from 2 hours and Master won't come out from the room. Rex, Kirwi and Sho were waiting outside to see that girl.

Kirwi said, "I hope she'll be fine."

"Yes, she'll be, I think." Sho said.

He looked at Rex and asked, "... Are you worried about that girl?"

Rex replied, "Worried? No way. I don't have time to think about such feelings. I just, can't see someone in that phase, that's all. Even if I saw an animal injured, I'd still help it. It's the mutual help."

Then Kirwi said in between, "Her blood was all over your clothes. So you changed again?"

He replied, "No doubt. Well, I remember telling you both to come after me, isn't it? I didn't saw you two coming then."

Then Kirwi said with annoyed tone, "Because you were so fast! You can't even wait for a moment!"

"That girl was barely alive, even with those bloody bruises. I don't want her to die this early. Also, if I had stayed for a while, she would've died till then. But it's doesn't matter, you both did a great job to find the way out of the forest and came back to the temple safely, I appreciate that." Rex said with a smile to Kirwi and Sho, but with a serious tone.

It's rare for them to see Rex caring about someone. Thus, Kirwi said, "Rex, It's rare to see you waver upon your emotions. You were too serious in Veilis."

"I know it was a reckless move, but I just can't leave an injured soul die in that forest. It's my nature. But I'll be your friend always. So stop being angry over a trivial matter." Rex said.

..."(To Kirwi) But tell me, back there, were you trying to... Hug me?" Rex added....

Rex's bluntness left her stunned. She had never thought that he'll ask that. She blushed and said slowly, "I..... I was just......" But Sho interrupted in between, "(To Rex) Maybe she likes you."

Sho's speech shocked them both. The two stared at Sho.

"Sho, you're under the roof of Master's room! How can you say something like this?!" Kirwi Exclaimed.

"The dumbest thing I've ever heard from your mouth— What do you mean by that? It's not the time for such things! I don't have anything named 'love', 'like' or 'lust' for anyone. I am not that stupid to waste my time in those!" Rex got furious and went from them.

He thought, "She (Kirwi) is just my friend, not more than that. Even if she says that she loves me, it won't affect me much. My mind is always concentrated for my training and power."

Rex can imagine that Kirwi had just beaten Sho very badly for saying that. They are so childish, especially in front of him which is irritating.

(Few moments later)

Rex was tired so he decided to rest in his room for some time. But Master Lee saw him and asked, "Rex, you're roaming in the temple?"

"Master?"

"You don't look good, Rex. Is everything okay?"

"(Explains) Sorry Master, but I was just moving to my room to rest. I'm a bit tired."

"No doubt, you'd be after the 'training' and all those 'breaks'. But I want to tell you something."

Master Lee continued, "The girl, is out of danger, she is alive."

Rex's tiredness all wiped out when he heard those words. He asked master with curiousness, "Really Master? Where is she?" He seems really worried about her.

Master said, "Rex, now your tiredness is not in you?" But Rex said, "It's gone. Master I was just worried about her, nothing else." Then Master said, "Okay, she is in my room for now. You can go and talk to her. But don't disturb her too much, she is still unconscious."

Rex agreed, but Master said, "But my child, She's weak. I am giving you time. After she comes to her senses, you must ask everything about her, slowly. I don't get to read her mind due to her unconsciousness. And after that, tell me everything what she has said to you. Be gentle, not rough, or she'll get scared."

And Rex replied being serious, "I got it Master."

"Good, now you can leave." And Rex obeyed him.

Rex respect his Master and obeys him. He's considerate of others but, has something different in his personality which everyone likes but his enemies fears.

(In Master Lee's room)

Meanwhile, Kirwi and Sho were already looking after the injured new girl in master's room and were glad to see her alive. Sho said to Kirwi, "She is like a doll while sleeping, isn't it Kirwi? Just like you."

"(Cringes) Eww... What are you saying? I am not that cute to be called a doll. You know, my hairs get ruined after the training like I've come back after a war. And dust usually held all around my body and dress. At those times can you imagine how long it takes me to come after freshening up?" Kirwi said with a little smirk.

"Well, maximum 1 hour." Sho guessed to Kirwi.

"2 hours, Sho!!" Kirwi shouted.

"Okay, I think you're a cute 'late-coming one'. Well anyway, don't you think that Master had taken more than two hours to treat her." Sho said normally.

"Yeah, it's understandable given her severe bruises. But, to be honest, I've never seen such a fair-skinned girl ever. The light green hairs like her are quite rare in Tiger Valley. I don't want to say, but she's just..... Extremely beautiful." Kirwi said with some jealousy.

"I guess you are jealous." Sho said with some amusement.

"What! Crap, never!" Kirwi growled at Sho. "Why I'll be jealous of her? Rex is also not interested in her let alone accepting her. Until he gets all the satisfactory answers from this girl, I'm sure he'll suspect her." She said.

"Hmm... This time, you're correct." Sho said, thinking.

Till then Rex also entered. But suddenly, his eyes saw that sleeping beauty that was unconscious. He blushed when looked at her brightened fair skin and light green hairs, but removed this feeling. Kirwi said, "Now you've arrived. Where you've gone?"

"I was resting for a while, but master told me to come here." Rex said.

"(Looks at Rex) Okay, well, don't you want to meet this sleeping beauty you've brought? (Glance at Beijinglia) Damn, I've never imagined that anything crazy like this would ever happen." Kirwi said with a lusty tone. Rex hates that way of talking.

He said, "You are a trainer, not a lusty girl. Also, don't call her a sleeping beauty. She's nothing to me at this moment, until I get all the information about her."

Now the time comes, when she started to move somehow, and it had taken all the attention of these three to wait until she open her eyes. And it's done. She has slowly opened her eyes and started to blink it too.

She was totally fine.

They were happy see her alive. But she seems too confused. She said slowly, "Where... I am?"

"Awwwww.... So cute!!" — her voice triggered Sho too much.

"Thank God that you are alive. Can you get up; I think you want some help, right?" Kirwi came to her and asked her softly.

But she started to stare at the ceiling and finally, she gets up and............. What happened to her? — She watched Kirwi, Sho and Rex but has no reaction at them.

But, she gets too scared and screamed so loud which never they had expected from her. However, Rex willed to stop her. He said seriously, "Don't scream like a child, you're safe here. We are not going to harm you, believe us."

Her fiery and beautiful yellow eyes met with his light cyan sky blue one which totally made her to stop. She found Rex trustworthy due to his words.

"Safe, really?"

Rex nodded, and moved aside from her. Kirwi's mouth just dropped in shock. She said, "Oh God, Rex never got too close to me that he is now with her."

But Sho said, "Don't say this Kirwi, Rex will hear you."

"Well, where I am? Why you all have taken me here?" She asked with doubt.

Rex said, "You would've died in that forest if we hadn't hurried." And she got a recap in her mind which made her shocked. She held her head and said, "My head hurts......please don't make me recall that, I don't want to...."

Her actions were odd to Rex.

Meanwhile, Master Lee sensed something doubtful; and access of that girl's mind made him finally understand her. He get it for whom Master Xiao was worried........ it's her only.
