Chapter 4:Inheritance

Nataro opens the box and inside is a mask, The mask is fully covered in dust but he notices faint color of red. It is an oni-shaped mask that cover the lower half of his face. It is no ordinary mask and Nataro could feel a form of menacing aura from it. He blews the dusts away and tries to clean it. The mask's crimson colour now looks more visible. Curiously Nataro tries to wear the mask as suddenly someone called "Brother, come here!". Nataro quickly puts back the mask into the box and puts the box into the wooden box. He quickly rushes into the scene and brings the box with him as he watches his brother. "Brother, look they're the villagers from our nearby village, we should ask some help from them." Jino said. Jino then immediately run approaching them and ask some help from the villagers but then the villagers pulled out their sickles and tries to attack Jino but he dodged and he asked "What are you doing? I am a shinobi from the Hattori clan!" then one of the villager replies "We came for your clan's loots!". Jino replies "Is this how you repay the Hattori clan's kindess for protecting your village!" and some of the villagers hesitated but a villager replies "The Hattori clan is no more and they can't protect us anymore so we are taking your loots so we could use it for our village defenses".

As Nataro watches their argument he sneaks and take the nearest sword anticipating for a fight. As Jino and the villagers argues, and suddenly a young woman stopped them and said "Our village has been protected by the Hattori clan and this is how you repay their kindess, this boy just lost his family and home. And all of you try to kill him for his family's treasures! I don't know how all of you became so inhumane!". The young woman has a beautiful face and brown long hair tied, despite wearing a simple kimono her beauty is still noticable. All of the villagers went silent and the young woman decided to introduce herself "My name is Koyomi Takayami and I am pleased to meet you.", Jino then introduce himself "My name Jino Hattori and I am the eldest son of Danzo Hattori, the grandmaster of the Hattori clan.", everyone is surprised on hearing Jino being the grandmaster's son and immediately pays respect to him.

Jino then called Nataro out and he finally he reveals himself. Jino introduces his brother to the villagers. Jino told the villagers that they both sadly are the last survivors of the Hattori clan and Jino asked Miss Koyomi "We currently need a place to stay, does your village has any empty houses?" Miss Koyomi answered "I don't think so but I think you both could stay in one of our house." Jino then called all of the villagers and said "All of you may take everything you want from the ruins such as resources,foods, and weapons.", all of the villagers then thanked Jino and they took whats left in the ruin.

After the villagers took what they needed Jino, Nataro, and all the villagers decided to return to the village. As Jino and Nataro walks to the village Jino then noticed the box Nataro has brought all this time and asked him "What are you bringing? I've seen you have been bringing that box all this time." and Nataro answers "I found this box in our house so I decided to brought with us." and Jino asked "And whats inside it?" and he answered "Some scrolls and a mask, but I've consider this as our parents' last inheritance." and Jino answers "I see" as they walk to the village as the sun sets.
