Train To Hogwarts

Cassandra POV

Finally, the day I am waiting eagerly has arrived. Today, I am going to HOGWARTS - the school of witchcraft and wizardry.

I went to King's Cross station with my mother. But we get confused by seeing the 9 3/4 platform.

Then I saw a girl, who held the same books as me. "Hello, do you know how to go to the 9 3/4 platform?" I asked her. She had black straight hair and light brown eyes.

She smiled at me "Are you going to Hogwarts?" She asked me.

"Yes," I replied to her.

"I am Lucy Parker," she introduced herself by grinning from ear to ear.

"I am Cassandra Scarlett. This is my mother," I told her with the same grin.

"My mother told me to run into the wall between the 9th and 10th platform," she told me.

Then I hugged my mother and waved goodbye and also promised to owl her.

Lucy ran into a wall and she disappeared. I followed her and closed my eyes tightly when I ran into the wall. I opened my eyes to see an express - Hogwarts express.

Lucy and I went into a compartment and sat across from each other. "Are you a muggle-born?" she asked me.

"I think so. Because my grandma is a witch But my mother is not a witch" I told her.

"It's a rare case," she told. "Which house do you like to get sorted?" she asked me.

"House?" I asked in confusion.

"Hogwarts has four houses. Gryffindor for bravery, Slytherin for ambitious, Ravenclaw for brilliant, and Hufflepuff for kind" she told me.

"Yeah, I remembered. My mom told me that my grandma is a Ravenclaw," I told her.

"Then there are many possibilities for you to become a Ravenclaw," she replied.

But didn't she told that Ravenclaw is brilliant, then how is it possible for me. I laughed at this thought. I am not telling that I am not brilliant. But, I think it doesn't suit me. Maybe Gryffindor will be better!

Then the compartment door opened to reveal a girl with bushy hair and a boy with a round face. "I am Hermione Granger. He is Neville Longbottom. He lost his toad, have anyone saw it?" she enquired us.

We replied "No" in unison. "By the way, I am Lucy Parker and she is Cassandra Scarlett," Lucy told Hermione.

"Nice to meet you two, you can change your school robes because only 10 minutes are there to reach Hogwarts," she informed.

"Oh! Thanks for your information Hermione," I told her and waved goodbye.

I went to the washroom to change my clothes. While returning to my compartment, I met the familiar blonde boy Draco Malfoy with chubby boys on either side of him. He smirked at the sight of me. I glared at him. "Do you know her Draco? But I think she is a muggle-born," one of the chubby boys asked him.

"Yeah, unfortunately, I know this mudblood," he told with a disgusting face.

Mudblood? What is that? I don't know. But it hurts me. Why is he always insulting me in front of others? What was his problem? "Shut up Malfoy" I replied furiously and shoved him aside to get into my compartment.

Draco POV

I wandered the train compartments with my two new friends Crabbe and Goyle. My mother told me that Scarlett too got Hogwarts' letter, but I can't see her anywhere. Has she boarded the wrong train?

Suddenly my gaze fixed on a brown-haired girl. My lips twitched to a smirk. She glared at me.

Goyle asked me whether I know her.

"Yeah, unfortunately, I know this mudblood," I replied to him with my eyes on her.

After hearing this she became furious "Shut up Malfoy," she told with full of angry in her eyes. And pushed me aside to make her way to the compartment.

But I didn't do anything wrong. This is the way for a pureblood wizard to talk with a muggle-born.

Cassandra POV

"What is mudblood?" I asked Lucy.

"It is the most disgusting word to refer to muggle-born. Why?" she asked.

"Malfoy called me by that," I told her.

"Malfoy? They are pure-blooded wizards for several years and they don't respect muggles," she told me.

"My mother is working in Malfoy manor," I told her.

"What? Why? They are most cruel," she told.

"Don't know. My mother is working there for many years," I told her.
