The First Meet

Cassandra POV ( 5 years old )

"Cassie!" I heard my mother's voice. I wrapped my blanket around me and covered my face with it lazily.

"Two more minutes. Mummy!"

After two minutes, I slowly went out of bed.

My mom was busy in the kitchen. I hugged my mom from behind her. She smiled when she saw me. I have the same dark blue eyes as her. "Good morning sweetie," she said to me. I smiled back at her. I love my mother more than anything in the world. She is my entire universe.

Then I heard a sound from my pet Owl. My uncle Krish presented it for my birthday this year. It is an Owlet, a baby owl. The cage is up near the window. I am too short ( Three feet ). I dragged a stool and climbed on it and played with my Owl. Then outside the window, near the Malfoy mansion, I saw a small boy.

I asked permission from my mom to play outside. She instructed me, not to go too far. I nodded my head and ran outside my house. There were no houses in the surrounding except the Malfoy manor. My house was surrounded by meadows.

After a while, I neared Malfoy manor. And saw the same boy in the garden. He was in a black suit. I went to him. He turned his head towards me. His grey eyes went deep into my dark blue eyes. He had well-combed blonde hair. He was the same height as me. I smiled at him and reached out to my hands and introduced myself "I am Cassandra Scarlett. You can call me Cassie". But there is no emotion in his eyes. He ignored my hand. He just stared into my eyes. I felt his lips curve into a smirk "I will never talk to a muggle, Scarlett."

I don't know what he was talking about. "Muggle? What's that?" I asked.

He again smirked at me and told me: "I don't like to waste my time on a lowlife muggle". I got angry when I heard these words. I didn't understand what he means. But I knew that he was not on good terms with me. I am not an easygoing type.

"Who are you thinking you're?" I snapped back at him. His smirk disappeared in my sudden outburst. After a second his face turned disgusting towards me "How can you talk to a pureblood wizard like this? ".

Wizard? Is he went mad? Or was he currently studying any fairy tale stories? After saying those words, I heard a lady voice from inside the manor and she came towards us. She smiled at me. So I smiled back at her. She kneeled in front of me to match my height and asked "Hey little girl, who are you?" with a smile.

"I am not a little girl. My name is Cassandra Scarlett" I replied innocently. By hearing this that boy chuckled at me. I blinked at him with a blank expression.

"Oh! Cassandra, I know your mom Mrs.Scarlett" she told me.

"By the way, My name is Narcissa Malfoy. And he is my son Draco Malfoy" she introduced. I smiled at her. Then, I turned my head towards Draco Malfoy, who is staring at me. But after I saw him, he suddenly turned back and went into the manor with his mother. I sighed after he disappeared from my sight. 'He is weird' I thought to myself and returned to my house.

His words are confusing in my mind. So I asked my mother "Mom, who is a wizard? Is magic real? Can I too become a witch? Is magic taught in school?". I shooted questions continuously. My mother's face became sad. I felt disappointment on her face. She hugged me tightly and whispered "I can't answer that question now, cassie" and kissed my forehead.
