Episode 9

Ophelia's pov:

"Ophelia can I borrow you lip gloss?" my sister came in my room "Yeah but when your done give it back" I said. I was getting ready for mom's little party while my brother and Dad cooked and decorated as a present to mom for her special day. For my present I bought her a beautiful flowered dress with matching heels and also the latest MAC makeup package. My sister bought her a nice watch and a Victoria perfume set with her money she saved for as long as I can remember.

"Ophelia!, you won't believe it but their's a hot guy with glasses downstairs" she pant for her breath "He's like white as snow and super handsome" she must be referring to Teng fei "Ophelia! where are you?!" I heard sofia shouting down the corridor "There you are looking beautiful as always btw your lover boy is here" she winked "Well he's not my lover boy anymore but my sister's" I smirk "I don't blame her he's like a walking greek god" she laughed.

"I'm done let's go downstairs" I stand up from the vanity, as we came downstairs I saw all my aunts, uncles and cousins "Ophelia look at you all grown and beautiful" uncle Dave hug me "Nice to see you too uncle Dave, still looking young" we did our secret hand shake "Andy bro, how are you?" I hug my favorite cousin "Fish, long time no see" I rolled my eyes at the nickname he gave me "Ophelia! over here!" I walked over to Li jing and Teng fei who was wearing glasses.

"I love your house, it's so big" she complimented "Thank you" I said "Teng fei, I like your spectacles" yep the black spectacles suit his face perfectly "Thanks" he replied "Ok everyone please go to the backyard and there you can pick, choose and refuse your foods" we proceeded to the back and I must say my brother did a good job. It had three tables the one with the food, the other with mom's birthday cake that was decorated with flowers and the long one for the guest with chairs that had plates and cups with some. It had a white big tent covering our head and had fairly lights.

Everyone took their seat buy next to Teng fei's seat was empty so I sat there "You'll have to thank me later" my sister grin, I knew she planned something with my friends to set me up with him but I tag along as he was a great company "Why are you smiling at the tree?" I quickly snapped out of my thoughts "Nothing just remembered beautiful memories when was my mom's birthday" I said nervously. "Ok guys quiet down, we're now going to sing happy birthday to my beautiful wife but before that I'll like to say I'm grateful that she was born on this day to love me, to beat me with the rolling pin when she gets angry at me and to make me these wonderful and crazy kids, I love you" aww! dad is so sweet.

"Ok let's get on with the singing and not Dad's cheap line he bought from walmart" my brother said while glaring at him. After singing mom happy birthday and my father beating the crap out of my brother. Me and Teng fei were just enjoying one anothers company getting to know each other "Here you guys have some fruit cake I made" Aunt may placed the plates in front of us "Thanks Aunt May" I dig in my cake "Aren't you eating?" I asked as I noticed he wasn't eating "After I ate like 7 plates of different foods and also consuming alcohol, I feel like a pig" I laughed "Your sister had like alot of food and is still eating" yep I believed that Li jing had a really big stomach to consume food.

We continued to talk about random things until I felt like if I was suffocating "Teng fei, aren't you suffocating here?" I asked him as I took big breathes "No, Are you okay?" he asked with concern, wait if I'm the only one suffocating that means "Aunt may, did you put peanuts in the cake?" I asked "Yeah I put kinda too much btw how come you didn't chew them?" sh*t, I sprinted inside the house with Teng fei calling my name and following me.

Teng Fei's pov:

I followed behind her as she rushed to through the house but she stopped falling to the floor holding her neck panting for her breath but I caught her in my arms, her friends and siblings came "Sh*t Luke get her injection!" her sister yelled. Within minutes her brother came back with this injection thing and insert it into her leg which was more like a stab. Her body begin to relax and her breathing was back to normal again.

"Please take her to her room, it's the second door on the left" I nod before picking her up in bridal style and carrying her to her room. She had a really pretty room but I didn't had time to check that out, I placed her on the bed softly and covering her with the duvet. Her mom then came in "My baby, why weren't you being careful?!, I don't want you to end up like the last time" I wonder what happened the last time.

"If I may ask what happened the last time?" I asked in curiosity "It was in high school her senior year, the kids didn't believe her allergy so they took her to the roof top and force her to eat alot.Due to the amount she swallowed the injection wasn't enough to stop the reaction. My daughter was smart enough to call the ambulance though she was weak. Fast forward at the hospital where we saw her hooked up to alot of machines since then we where being careful on what she eats till this day" that was really cruel.

"I know you love her I can see it in your eyes, you can have her hand in marriage if you like" waoh! I know I'm like whipped for her but I have to take it slow "Yes I have to admit I love her more than anything. I can't do that I want take it slow before I confess and ask her to be my girlfriend, I respect her in what ever she decides or do" I saw her mother smile "You passed the test. Your not the person who does anything by force and I guess I can trust you with her" I was shock, I just confessed my feelings openly.

I have accomplished her mother's trust but not the whole family yet, what is she doing to me?!. I fell inlove with her and just unconsciously confessed my feelings about her to her mother. I can promise that I'll protect her at any cost.
