Episode 4

Ophelia's pov:

Sunday morning was the greatest in this house, where your siblings will wake you up with a bucket of cold water "Luke!! I'll murder you today for sure" I chased him downstairs "Wait!! someone is here to see you" I stopped "Who?" I asked confusingly "I don't know" I went to the door to see Andrew, the last person I wanted to see.

"What are you doing here?!" I said annoyed "I came to take you on a date" I rolled my eyes "Your waisting my time" I was about to go in when he held my hand "Please I just want to take you on a date" he grip on my hand tightened "No your a disgusting, manwh*re" I tried to push but he won't budge "Just give me a chance" I held my hand tighter "Luke!" I yelled my brother name within seconds he was punching the life out of Andrew.

My parents then came "What's going on here?!" Dad said, Luke then got off Andrew "This a*shole was harassing my sister! Forcing her to go on a date with him!" Andrew then got up trying to convince Mom and Dad it was a mistake "Get off my property before I do something that I'll regret" he didn't say anything just walk away.

"Are you ok?" mom hugged me "Yeah just my wrist hurts" I hugged her back "Come let's have breakfast" Dad led us inside. After breakfast I got ready to go to Li jing's house "Where are you going?" Dad stopped me "I'm going by my new friend I made last week" I said "Male or female?" he questioned "Female her name is Huang Li jing" he nod.

I rang Li jing's apartment door bell and within seconds she opened the door "Finally your here, come on in" she opened the door wider so I can go in, her apartment was like wow. The walls were painted in white so were the marble tiles, she had a blue counch that was sitting in 'L' shape with a big TV hanging on the wall and the fluffy rug underneath the couched. She then called someone in Chinese, soon after Mr. Huang came out from the bathroom I guess.

"Oh hi mr. Huang" I said with a smile "Hi Ophelia" woah I'm like the shortest here "Brother, What should we eat?" she asked "Hmm, how about hot pot!" what's that? "I don't have any ingredients besides the pot is at your house" she spoke "Ok, why don't you and Ophelia go to the Asian supermarket in China town and get the ingredients and I'll go get the hotpot in your house" she said in one breath "Ok then" I spoke "You get the hotpot and we'll get the ingredients" I said "Then let's go" Li jing agreed.

Mr. Huang decided to drive, as we reached the town I noticed everyone was almost dress rather traditionally "Today is Chinese New Years" mr. Huang mentioned, crap how on earth I didn't remember that "Then Happy Chinese New Years" I need to find some red envelopes "Thank you and we're here" the supermarket was beautifully decorated, Asian people are really decorative and can do some amazing craft. A girl was greeting everyone at the door "Happy Chinese New Years" I said as I bowed and it kinda took her by surprise. I really wanted to get Li jing and Mr. Huang something, I went to Google to see if I can find anything but ended up bumping into someone.

"I'm sorry I wasn't focusing" I help the person with their stuff "It's ok dear" the elderly woman said "I was busy looking for what I can get my friends for Chinese New Years but still can't find them anything" uhg! I'm terrible at finding someone gifts "You can get them oranges as a sign of fortune and good luck and red envelopes with messages, money or whatever you like to put in it" I now know what to give them "Thank you, may you be blessed with good health and fortune" I then sprinted to where Mr. Huang is but I need a plan for him not to notice anything.

"My mom just called, do you mind if I step out to talk to her for a while?" I asked "Sure, take your time" I quickly went to the door girl "Excuse me, where can I find red envelopes?" I asked "The store right infront of you" I thanked and gave her blessings before sprinting over "Good Afternoon and A happy Chinese New Year, can I get two red envelopes?" I asked, the man nod before giving me I paid then went and get alot of oranges and tangerines.

As I went back to the supermarket I saw Mr. Huang putting the groceries in the trunk "What's that?" he noticed the big bag in my hand "You'll see" I placed it in the trunk "Ok then" he got in so did I "Could you stop at the mall for me I have to do this thing" I said "Sure, should I come?" he asked "No" I replied. After sometime he stopped infront of the mall and I quickly got out. Let's hope the stores has Qipao.

Teng Fei's pov:

I laughed as she fast walk into the mall looking like a little girl, I noticed she left her phone in the seat. I turned it on to see what kind of wallpaper she has and to my surprise it was a picture of herself and her friends at some party but I was more focused on her, she's so beautiful. I wonder what has her so busy today, maybe she wants to meet her friends in secret. I then saw her coming with shopping bag, did she went shopping?.

Ophelia's pov:

I got what I was looking for along with some traditional Chinese hairpin for Li jing, I placed the bags in the trunk before getting in "Thank you so much for waiting" I was now exhausted from running "Your welcome besides what's with the shopping bags?" he questioned "You'll see when we get back" I reassured. Soon after we came back to Li jing's apartment to see the place was beautifully decorated "Surprise! Happy Chinese New Year!" Li jing jumped out, the table had alot of food "We went grocery shopping for nothing!" Mr. Huang said from behind me "My fridge still needed food. Now for the gifts I got Ophelia a Qipao and a matching Jade hairpin along with the pendent and for you I got you a nice traditional attire also" she gave us some paperbag.

"I also got you guys something" I handed them the red envelopes but the tangerines and oranges ended up on the ground "Woah! you bought the whole cart" she said with big eyes "Yeah, I asked and they said is a form fortune or goodluck" I said "I got you guys matching Qipao outfit" I gave them "No wonder you were acting weird just now" Mr. Huang said "Whatever let's just go an eat. I made alot of food for you guys" Li jing drag us to the table.
