Hidden Destiny

Three days and three nights passed and our Bai Luo was still sleeping soundly. Today seems to be a day with a not-so-pleasant weather. The sun swallowed by clouds indicating a rainy day. In the not-so-pleasant day, we get a pleasant news, Bai luo has opened her eyes!

But her eyes has lost the sad and cold state , they have a wild spark in them. However, the creases in her forehead indicate our lead is confused. She looks around the room with her big sparkly eyes with a frown of disappointment and why wouldn't it... her own father betray---

Bai luo : Where are my roses? And where's my dad!!!??

Wait--What?? Dad? Roses? But the Bai luo before three days neither looked for roses and nor seemed close enough to her father to call him "dad". What did the old man do to her? Speaking of the devil -

Mr. Song : My little girl seems to have started throwing tantrums as soon as she woke up huh?

A hearty chuckle escapes his lips as he looks at his daughter like some rediscovered treasure. Mr. Song pats her head endearingly as he places a bunch of freshly picked roses from the garden. A satisfied giggle could be heard coming from Bai luo.

But she seems to be a completely different person from what we saw three days ago and this Bai luo seems pretty similar to the Bai luo before the tragic event... could it be? No! is that even possible? In just three days? What really did these people do to her? The sparkle in her eyes, the glow on her face, the continuous giggles and laughters and the love for Mr. Song in her eyes...

Bai luo tries to get out of the bed before hissing and rubbing her neck to sooth the pain. Mr. Song hurriedly sits her back down

Bai luo : Dad, it feels as if my whole body is weak. I don't remember anything clearly ,do you know what happened?

Mr. Song : You were on a mission three days ago and came back in an unconscious situation. Reports have it that you were drugged so it's normal for you to feel like that. Don't worry and rest for a while

Mr. Song gives her a reassuring smile and pats her head carefully  . He looks at her as she slowly drifts off to sleep again. His eyes slowly change to sad and lost ones.

Mr. Song : I know I'm doing something unforgivable, but this was the only way to get you back to me. The only way to get you back to my smily little daughter. I hope you can forgive your dad for this...

Mr. Song walks out of the room carefully without making any sound and exhales deeply after closing the door behind him. He walks down and is met by a person waiting for him. His face shows slight excitement seeing the person.

Mr. Song : Dr. Liu, have you got what I asked?

The man who seems to be around 70 shakes him head and heaves a sigh in dissapointment

Dr. Liu : There still isn't a solution for that. Luo'er might forget it temporarily but her memories will get revived if her brain gets hints

Mr. Song : If there is no permanent solution we'll have to make sure she gets no such hints

Dr. Liu : Even if she doesn't get hints, it's luo'er, we can't keep her memories locked for long. She'll get to it sooner or later. She is destined to-

Mr. Song : Stop! Find a way to seal her memories! Her destiny will ruin our upper hand over the demons and I have prevented it all these years.... we can't afford to let the demons know about luo'er.. All these years I've taken care of her as my own.. I can't give up now

Mr. Song looks down shaking his head vigorously denying all the thoughts in his mind. A sigh escapes Dr. Liu's lips as he stares at his helpless friend. Dr. Liu turns to the window and stares blankly at the rose garden.

Dr. Liu : How quickly does time pass.... I can still remember that day like it was yesterday. How you came to me running with a new born Luo'er. In search of the soul suppressing potion... 24 years have passed and we're still trying. Pathetic isn't it?

A low chuckle can be heard from Dr. Liu as Mr. Song looks out at the garden as well

Mr. Song : True... That day changed everyone's fate. Brought light to some and brought darkness to some... how we thought of a temporary solution thinking there will never be any trouble again...Oh how wrong we were to be such fools. A blind trust until the day Luo'er walked out the mirror wall and met him..

Dr. Liu : Both were unaware of what ruckus they were bound to cause if together... That meeting lead to a disaster ...

The flow of a distant stream can be heard and birds chirping as a small girl around 5 can be seen waddling around in the forest... probably lost. Looking around with those big sparkly blue eyes, innocent curiosity.... hah what a pure sight..

Girl : Daddy will be mad.... Luo'er got lost

A cute pout plays her pink lips as she looks around.

(rawr!  rawr!)

Sounds like a cub... the little girl waddles over to where the sound came from. What a cute and funny sight! A little panther cub trying to scare off an antelope and the antelope walking away as if the little guy is invisible. Aww....

A gasp escapes the little girl's lips as she stares shocked at what happened next. The shock resulting in her stumbling back and landing on the ground with a thud!
