Remembering You

[Trisha's POV]

"Well, yeah, I was really shocked. Who would expect I could see him again after a year or two?"

"Uhh... Kinda, but I am not that affected. I have moved on."

"No, it's just that... I remember our past and I have a self pity after wasting my six years with him."

"Vee, please open the door! Vee, I'm begging you." I cried out as I keep pressing the door bell on his apartment.

I keep on pressing and doorbell and knocking his door but there was no response. My whole world totally explode. After breaking up with my boyfriend, my small sister was also died due to the dengue fever. All I take care of is myself and Vee and I don't even think about my family's situation.

The door suddenly flung open as the person I am longing for go out. I directly hugged him as hot tears started to run down my cheek.

"Vee, can't we broke up? I know I'm wrong. You're the only person I have now, Vee. Please don't leave me.

" Aw, you're the one who broke up first and now you're asking for comeback? Are you a mad woman? Didn't I say don't you ever come back to me?"

"Vee, I know I am wrong." I hold his hands but he pulled it back.

"You're disturbing me and the neighbors. It's late midnight, go back. No thing's gonna change Trisha." Then, left me standing and closed the door.

After I signed the contract, Emily and Mr. Santos said there goodbyes as I just stand still. I am not quite confident for this agreement but I was just thinking about our small company too. It's not that I can't handle the work for this big company but because the one I'm working with is my past boyfriend that I dated for 6 years.

April is about to end. The sky was clear as the hot sunshine lights the day. The weather is totally hot as I walk out the company together with Emily. Emily happily walk since after a long time, someone signed a contract with us again. These past three or four months, there's no one really asked for our design and we are about to close our small business. We don't have employees in our small business since we are the one who organize and do the design. Designing isn't that difficult actually but the problem is that... No one comes for our design.

"What are you thinking?" The girl beside me stopped and asked.

"Nothing, just about the job."

"Aish, just do it naturally like you did your job to other."

"Hmm." I sighed.

"Then... Will you go for the partnership celebration later?"

"Well, yeah. Why would I not besides, I'm the president." We started walking and wait for a taxi.

"Oh, by the way, lemme call Enzo and invite him too." I added and immediately took my phone in my purse.

"Oho, you're showing off your boyfriend, huh?" She let out a small laugh.

I dial Lorenzo's name and after a few seconds, he picked it up.

"Hey, we will go in a celebration party later at 7. Would you like to come?"

[What celebration?]

"Contract agreement in a business partner."

[Oh! I'm Sorry but... I got an appointment at 8. Maybe, next time.]

"Ah, okay." I hang up the phone.

"What did he say?" Emily asked.

"He said he can't come. He had an appointment." I waved my hand at the air as I saw a taxi coming from afar.

After we arrived at our small office, Winter Trees Design, Emily directly left me in car as I paid the transportation fee.

While walking in the stairs, I can already hear Emily's voice followed by Rain's hissing in pain.

"You idiot, didn't I told you to wait for us in the car? Why did left us and go back here, huh?" She shouted as she hold the latter's ear.

"Ah, ah, ah... Okay, sorry. Let go of my ears." Emily on the other hand is hesitant but still managed to let him go.

Our office is not big. It's just simple office with some glassy walls and ceramic wood tiled floor. The interior of our office is also good. It's not that grand or something beautiful but it's enough to call 'good' for a small office. To be honest, this office is from my dad and being an adult, he keeps reminding me that an adult should work for living and he let me rented this house.

Well, isn't it too far for a father? I'm his daughter but I need to pay every month for this office.

"Hey, do you hear what I say?" Emily waved her hand at my face.

"Get lost!" I shoved he as I stand from my seat.

"Eh? Will you really not go to the party?" Emily whined when she saw me slide the glass in the balcony behind my table

"Didn't I say I will go?" I breathe deep and exhaled.

"Eh? Which party?" Rain asked curious.

"Business Partnership." Emily replied.

I look at the sunset as the sun slowly uncovers the earth. I walk in my table and grab my phone. Looking at how beautiful the sunset is, I snap multiple photos and post in Instagram.

[The beautiful day had end. Will I see this again?]

I sat back on my seat and after a few seconds, my phone vibrated so I took it out.

Emily tapping her phone, she looked at Rain and stomped Rain's foot.

Rain's face became gloomy while looking at Emily who is fake smiling. I let out a small laugh as I saw Rain stand hopping while hissing in pain.

"Are you nuts?" Rain whined.

"If my boyfriend saw what you just commented, you're a dead meat." She smiled.
