Leo's depression

Mia was just fine now and was doing great in her life but Leo on the other hand lived to regret his actions. He spent almost 70% of his salary just to get more spies and to pay them enough.

He really missed Mia and he became a drunkard. He was never free from this guilt of what he did to her and always had a sad and depressed expression on his face.

He tried asking all the maids if Mia had told something to them about her plans but none of them seems to know anything. Leo of course tried this before Ashley left but Ashley didn't want Leo to know about Mia because she was afraid that he would hurt her again.

Leo's hope was slowly starting to fail he started drinking more and more to the point where he didn't have his meals anymore, all he did was drink and and feel depressed all day. Many of his friends tried to cheer him but they too got tired of trying and left Leo on his own. All of them had stopped contacting him.

"So all these years I respected these people who didn't even stick with me till the end and I tortured the one person who tolerated all of my crap for two years?" he said and sighed pathetically. "She would have stuck with me till death if I hadn't done what I did to her" he said and started to drink again.

Leo stopped looking at himself in the mirror because whenever he did he'd be reminded of the horrible torture he gave to the one true person he had in this world.

She suffered with her family and he made her suffer more. He was in tears everyone he looked at one of her pictures, "oh Mia, what gave I done? Please return to me. slap me hit me kill me but please don't leave me like this" Leo cried looking at her picture.

He was so exhausted from crying that he fell asleep and woke up two hours later only to cry again. He didn't know when this misery would end but he wanted to find Mia even if it cost him entire life.

looking at his room decorated with many pictures of Mia, his eyes fell upon one photo framed which he had taken from Mia's room. The photo was puffing out like there was something inside the frame which was covered by the photo. He took the frame and opened it. There were a few dollars in there and a note.

"Dear mistress, I know Master won't allow you eat today so please buy yourself something to eat. -Ashley" Leo was heartbroken, Mia had to take help from a maid to survive? is that how worse her condition was? Leo shivered in pain and anger.

He fainted from all this mental pressure and was taken to the hospital. The doctor was talking to Leo but he wasn't responding. it felt like he has lost his purpose of living. The doctor went out of the room to let Leo rest. He was still sad about the photo frame and was angry on himself for being like he was. He slowly drifted away and even in his dreams he saw Mia, crying and running away, "Wait Mia!" Leo said and immediately woke up with fear. He then started to tear up but he quickly cleaned them and went to get discharged.
