I waited like she said too, in the chair.

I heard the foot steps coming down and the door unlocked, in run a little blond boy and melody with some fruit and a bottle of water. She smiled at me when she saw I was sitting in the chair staring at the little boy who had now found a little toy box under the sink.

“He’s cute right?” She smiled and sat across from me placing the fruit and water in the center of the table.

“How old is he?” I asked still very confused and scared.

“He just turned 6 a week ago,” she smiled and waved him over.

He ran up to melody and hid behind he back peaking out at me like he hadn’t ran by me when he got down here.

“Hello?” I paused since I hadn’t learned his name yet.

“Asher,” she smiled at me and winked.

“Hello Asher,” I smiled at him to show I’m not some big scary person chained up in his basement.

“H-hello,” he was still hiding behind melodys back.

“Okay Asher go play,” she smiled and lightly pushed him back away from her showing him it was okay to go play.

“Faith, I know ur scared hunny, but trust me we don’t want to hurt you, there is something big happening, something bigger then us and no one can stop it. So many people and life will die if we don’t do what we’re doing now.” She started to speak quietly like she didn’t want to scare Asher or me for that matter, but then she started again.

“I know it’s werid and I know i sound crazy but once you met everyone you will understand it’s not all that bad and you might even understand what I’m talking about.” She smiled at my puzzled face.

“Melody I have family, and friends, and I don’t want to be here.” I spoke softly back to her.

“I know hunny, but trust me everything that is happening here will all fall in to place you will see now,” she pause and got closer, “tell me what it’s life on the outside?” She looked nervous but happy.

“What do you mean? You haven’t bin outside?”

I kinda laughed to myself still confused on what she meant.

“What’s the city like, and the sun when it hits ur skin?” She seemed eager to know, then it dawned on me she had bin inside so long she had forgot what it was like to be outside and see the things we take advantage of.

“Melody we can leave, right now today!” I went to reach for her hand but she pulled away quickly and gave me a look.

“No, we can’t trust me, it wouldn’t be good what so ever.” She looked surprised and just kept shaking her head no.

I sighed and grabbed a piece of fruit that happened to be my favourite one, a strawberry, red and sweet.

“Any way why are here? Do they hurt you when ur here?” I questioned her so I knew what I was getting myself into before I met the others.

“I’m here to be a wife, and cleaner much like you hunny, but they will only hurt you if you disobey them in anyway.” She looked down at the fruit before grabbing some blueberries and handing a few to Asher and eating some her self.

“A wife?” I was shocked at what I was hearing, I was kidnapped to be someone’s wife?

“Yes hunny, but trust me I wouldn’t fight about it or struggle against anything they want you to do with them.” She was more serious this time with her words.

“What happens if I don’t?” I questioned her once more.

“Hunny I can’t talk about it was Asher around,” she hesitated for a second before standing up and grabbing the fruit left on the plate.

“Any way hunny It’s getting late so I’m going to go up to bed you make sure you rest well tonight I’ll come back in a few minutes to unlock you so you can Wander around the room if you please” she smiled and started towards the door before closing it, locking it.

After about 5 minutes I heard and felt my anckle be unlocked and I got off the chair and headed straight for the door and trying it.

Locked.

So I walked over to the bed and sat down on it.

Soft and fluffy sheets that were dark red with white pillowcases. The mattress was memory foam and way more comfortable then my bed at home.

That night while I was falling asleep I was only thinking about what melody said about being a wife and I thought about that right up till I fell asleep.
