Chapter 3: The Wolf Meets His Partner

The Wolf Tribe is located in the west of Kora City, the Wolf Tribe is the second most powerful tribe in the kingdom after the Lion Tribe. The Lion Tribe Chief also happens to be the kingdoms ruler but not all animas like the King because he is arrogant, selfish, and ambitious. Hiroka as the second most powerful tribe Chief is looked up by the animas. He is fierce, ferocious, ruthless, strong, and passionate, unlike the king, the animas think that he would be much more fit to rule the kingdom.

My name is Hiroka Lobus. I come from a very long line of wolfs. After my great-great-great grandpa took down the corrupted Wolf Chief Ciar, the Lobus family has been in power. After my parents were murdered when I was 18, my grandfather made me the Chief Wolf.

I am now 20 and have been making this tribe powerful, my sister who is 2 years younger than me, 18, has been supporting me. Since I became a Chief at a young age I haven’t had the time to look for a partner. A year ago, before my grandfather passed away he found a scroll saying that the 10th generation's first newborn of the Lobus family was cursed to never marry.

The 10th generation first newborn happened to be me but I didn’t believe it. When I turned 20 I found a partner to marry but as we were exchanging the wine, I fainted. I woke up 3 hours later feeling sick, it must have been the curse. After that I sought out to look for a sage, he said that I could marry someone but it wouldn’t be of the Wolf Tribe.

The old toad sage said, “You will find someone with eyes that resemble those of an emerald, she will have hair the color of crimson blood and have skin as fair and white as the snow. She will also be a Princesszehn of the feline race.”

With that I was searching for someone to match that description but I’ve never heard of or saw someone with red hair and green eyes which were rare. On top of that she had fair skin color which not many animas have. One morning, 4 months later after I saw the old sage I woke up early to take a stroll and saw a white light ahead of me.

I ran to the direction of the light and found a ring, I picked it up because it looked strange but then I saw someone lying on the ground. It was a female, I was astonished, she had red hair like crimson blood and was white like the snow. She was waking up and when she opened her eyes, they were green like emeralds and she happened to be of the cat species.

She was the most beautiful female I have ever seen, no one had features like hers, it was exactly as the old sage told me. My partner would have red hair, green eyes, skin like snow and of the feline race. My heart was pounding and I could feel my face blushing, is this what love feels like, I’ve never felt this way before.

I’ve never seen anyone from the Cat Tribe, they prefer to keep to themselves and not interact with other species. The old sage did mention that she was a Princesszehn so her family must have kept her safe and well. But, what is she doing sleeping out here?

I accidentally stepped on a branch and she heard me. “Who's there?” She asked.

Then I said, “I’m here for you. You are the chosen one to become my partner, Princesszehn.

Note: Princesszehn means the daughter of a Chief Tribe.
