"The Exchange"

Without believing in Junno's proposal, his twin brother, Jaime, shouted angrily,

"What kind of proposal is this, Junno? Are you crazy? How can you suggest something so crazy and, at the same time, cruel?"

"Even if I accepted this madness, what about your husband? Do you think he won't notice everything?"

Jaime couldn't help but smile when he spotted the little girl. It was impossible to resist the charm of such an adorable child.

He couldn't help but think how wonderful it would be to have a daughter as sweet as her. "The little girl is simply beautiful and cute!" Jamie reflected.

"How can my brother not like this child who calls him mother?"

After this enchanting moment, Jaime headed to the airport bathroom to transform into his brother. He put on clothes that would make him almost identical to his brother, but when he looked at himself in the mirror, he couldn't help but sigh. He always preferred simplicity, casualness, and wasn't comfortable in the extravagant outfit he was wearing.

Upon leaving the bathroom, he headed to the meeting point and sat on a bench at the airport. Jaime knew he needed to memorize the faces and names of all the people who lived in the mansion, so he leafed through the photos Junno had left for him. He also carried Jaime's documents, a fundamental part of his new identity.

Time passed, and after about half an hour of waiting, fatigue overcame Jaime, who fell asleep on the airport bench. He was abruptly awakened from his sleep by someone shaking him and calling him by his brother's name, Junno. The driver greeted him with respect and led him to a luxurious limousine.

"Mr. Junno, Mr. Jonathan is waiting for you at home. He asked me to take you directly to the mansion as he had to personally handle some matters," explained the driver.

Jaime, attempting to imitate his brother's more abrupt and firm manner, replied:

"Oh, yes, I mean, yes, let's go!"

Deep down, his kind heart resisted being so incisive, but he knew it was necessary to maintain the façade.

Finally, the limousine arrived at the mansion, and Jaime was completely paralyzed when he beheld the grandeur of the place. It was as if he were in a dream, admiring the beauty of the mansion. However, he couldn't understand how his brother could despise everything that life had given him.

"Now that I've come this far" Jaime thought, "there's no turning back! I'm in the rain, I'll get wet, or I can run away..."
