Episode 12

Bae Asuna lowers her head down, as she hands over her smartphone to Officer Ramirez. While, Lt. Berdin, stares at Datu Paul.

Lt. Berdin: Datu, I am here to inquire if there was a case or any hearing on the case filed by Councilman Tan against Ms. Villamar.

Datu Paul: Where are my manners. Please sit down Detective Inspector. I’m sure we can find that here. Do you think you can throw Bae Asuna to jail for me?

Lt. Berdin: To be honest it is all up to the lawyers and the judge. However, you can file a complaint at the office. I am sorry I do not have a form for you to fill out.

Bae Asuna: Come on he is just making those claims, it’s his word against mine.

Lt. Berdin and Officer Ramirez took their seats, Officer Ramirez sat beside Bae Asuna at a couch opposite to the table of the Datu. While Lt. Berdin took the seat in front of the Datu’s table.

Lt. Berdin: So Datu, this case will be messy, would you like to pursue your complaint? And Bae Asuna, you are correct that it is his word against yours, but we saw all that happened. Now, another officer will come to take you for questioning. This time is theft. Evidence Theft. So Datu, is the panty in that bag?

Datu Paul: Yes. And I’d like to sue her too.

Lt. Berdin: This might take awhile. And we may have to detain a few people here, especially now that we have evidence stolen from the crime scene.

Datu Paul: Detain?! Look at what you have done, Bae Asuna. This is unforgivable.

Demure, Bae Asuna, looked away, snobbing Datu Paul.

Lt. Berdin: Hold on Datu. Let me call my boss.

Camp Maxim

Lt. Col. de la Cruz: Lt. Herasta… Nuñez?

Officer Nuñez: Yes sir?

Lt. Col. de la Cruz: Have Lt. Herasta in please.

Camp Cinco

Major Yap: What? You’ve got to be kidding me.

Major Yap caught aghast at what he heard from Lt. Col. de la Cruz on the phone.

Major Yap: I agree, Colonel, I’ll let my superiors know to apprise them, I’ll send some to guard the scene right away. Looks like all hands on deck here I agree, I’m headed out to the scene and make sure we get this right.

Camp Jonas

Col. Antigua: Hello John, how are things?

[muffled voice on the phone]

Col. Antigua: I’m headed towards the Kris General Directorate office, I think they should have a conference room for us there. I’ll drop by the RD’s office and apprise him of the escalating issue.

Camp Maxim

Lt. Col. de la Cruz: Herasta, I need you to man the fort for me. This is getting a little bigger, now I think a show of force would deter any additional crimes at the Synod Community.

Lt. Herasta: No Problem sir.

Lt. Col. de la Cruz: I know there is a lot on your plate, have you tried to at least filter the ones that we can work out easily first?

Lt. Herasta: With the developments now. Not yet, I’ll do that now.

Lt. Col. de la Cruz leaves with five of his officers for the Synod Community Hall to contain anymore damage.

Synod Community Hall

Two police cars arrive. They all alight from their vehicles, two of them went to the Datu’s office.

Meanwhile, Lt. Berdin reads the hearing report on the case filed by Councilman Tan against Ms. VIllamar.

Lt. Berdin: Datu, I’d like to see all of the witnesses here; Ms. Claudia Ylaya, Mr. Roel Cimafranca, Mr. Dublin Cabigon, Ms. Emma Matinao, and Ms. Sol Estardante. Wait, we have Claudia already.

Datu Paul: Sure they all work here.

Lt. Berdin: Then they are not leaving.

A police officer from the patrol division arrives to see the Datu.

Patrol Officer 1: We are here to secure the house, where evidence was stolen from. We’d like to know which one.

Datu Paul: Oh Dinah!

Dinah comes inside the office.

Datu Paul: Have someone guide the officer here to Ms. Villamar’s house.

Lt. Berdin: Officer, how many are you?

Patrol Officer 1: four.

Lt. Berdin: What is your name?

Patrol Officer 1: Cabalhug sir.

Lt. Berdin: I’ll need one officer with me to assist in finding witnesses.

Meanwhile, Major Yap arrives at the Synod Community Hall  with his cohorts. They begin to recheck the crime scene which is near the Community Hall. And he went up to see the Datu.

Seeing Police officers already inside the office, he went inside and joined them.

Major Yap: Lieutenant.

Lt. Berdin: Officer Cabalhug, I think I have reinforcements now. Thanks.

Patrol Officer Cabalhug leaves the office.

Lt. Berdin: Major Yap sir, this is Bae Asuna, who is accused by the Datu of tampering with your evidence. According to the Datu here, she took these from the crime scene. And used it to blackmail him. I have those evidence with me. But these are yours to process.

Major Yap: Well, right now I cannot just arrest her.

He looks at Bae Asuna.

Major Yap: Bae Asuna, please do not leave town, or better yet, I’d like to detain you here in this office. I’ll have a guard to watch both of you. I’ll have this panty analyzed for her DNA. If you’d confess, maybe I could let you go and ask the Prosecutor to be lenient.

Bae Asuna: [sigh]You’ll have to talk to my lawyer.

Major Yap: Suit yourself.

Lt. Berdin: Major, we need to find these guys Mr. Roel Cimafranca, Mr. Dublin Cabigon, Ms. Emma Matinao, and Ms. Sol Estardante. They work here and should be easier to find I hope. And Datu, where do we find them?

Datu Paul: Dinah, have Bodega assist them please.

Dinah: Follow me please.

Lt. Berdin: Officer Ramirez, I need you to watch her like a hawk.

Officer Ramirez nods. And the three left the Datu’s office. Two policemen guarded the door of the Datu’s office. The building is now closed. No one gets out.
