Episode 5

Caleb

Caleb groaned, waking up. He looked at Avery, smiling , sliding his fingers through her hair to move it from her face. God she was so fuckign perfect. God how he wished he hadn’t screwed it up all those years ago. He would’ve asked her to marry him then. But fate wasn’t in his hands and Noah had to just go and drop that fucking bomb.  After that he knew she hated him with everything she had. Why did he have to **** up so badly? He’d trusted Matt, that's why he never got to know the full story until Noah had found him and Avery and unleashed the ugly truth. It sickened him but what could he do the damage had been done and she threw him out of her life along with Noah . Though Noah had kept in contact with her she’d chosen not to rekindle their relationship. Before he knew it it was six years later and she had fallen for his best friend Marcus.

He was a good guy but all came to heads when Noah returned and screwed that up for her she thought it would be Matt but he had moved on from his obsession towards his sister and found his one and only true love Shawna Winters.

He smiled looking at her god he’d missed her so much over the years though she had been by his side for the last two years and bridges had been built between the pair he still has a pang in his heart something was missing and that something was her love. She was the someone missing in his life; he just hoped Marcus would forgive him for what he was about to do.

‘I love you Avery and I;l do anything to make you mine once again.’ He leaned forward pressing his lips softly on her forehead, kissing it. No one is going to get in my way Marcus, Noah you can look up and look out she’s mine she’s stole my heart and she will never return to either of you now I have her I intend to make her happy and neither if you are getting in my way ever! I’ll make sure of it. I’ll be the one walking down that isle with her and she’ll be saying I do to me. Not you neither of you so get used to it she’s mine and only mine!

Avery

****! Awe ! ****! **** my eyes hurt **** my heat hurts it’s fuckign theobijng how much did I have to drink last night?’ I asked myself as I slowly come around. His green eyes sparkle in mine **** Caleb no !

‘Awe!’ I groan.

He smiles.

‘My head hurts.’

‘That’s what you get for trying to drink me under the table.’ He chuckled.

‘Shush my head’s banging.’

He laughed loudly.

‘What the **** happened why are we?’ I looked around why were we in the the living room? ‘On the sofa?’

‘We were out of it babe we didn’t even make it to the bedroom. He chuckled .’

‘We didn’t did we?’

‘No we didn’t.’

‘Thank god.’

‘That hurts Avery that really hurts.’

‘What you’re ego?’

‘Ha Ha not funny!’ He frowned down at me.’

‘Why are we tangled up together? And why are you looking down at me like you want to devour me?’

‘Maybe it’s cause I want to.’

‘Ergh.’

‘Come on Avery you know you like it!’ He said teasingly.

She slapped him. ‘Pack it in bad boy.’

‘You know you make me horny when you call me that.’

‘Then I won’t.’

‘Don’t I like it.’ He pouted.

She laughed. ‘Did we you knwo do anything dumb?’

Not that I can remember unlike when we went to Corfu, then there was Ibiza.

‘Stop!’ She whined.

‘You enjoyed it and don’t say you didn’t.’

‘We can’t keep doing this Caleb.’

‘Why not?’

‘You know why not.’

‘You know how I feel why can’t you jut accept it and move on and move on with me?’

‘I need time Caleb.’

‘I’ve gave you two years Avery how. Much longer do you need?’

‘I need to sort things out back home you know that.’

‘And you could’ve done that after matt’s wedding but you chose to go off around the world.’

‘You chose to join me.’

‘I had busisness to deal with you know that .’

‘So you were doing business in Corfu and Ibiza?’

‘No. We agreed to take a holiday remember a two week vacation to relax form the worried and the strains from work I’m sorry if I put a damper on your plans.’

‘You didn’t.’

‘So you’re not saying you didn’t enjoy it as much as me?’

‘You know I did.’

‘Well then be with me Avery forget everyone else in the equasion and be with me.’

I looked at him I really wanted to give him a chance but the past was still a big part of me unable to move in with him I’d forgiven him but I’d never forgot maybe I should he’s a decient guy but I had to relsolve all the issues back home first I’d put it off for two years burring myself on work and living it up to the max and I was glad o had the chance to do all that with Caleb he was sweet and caring and he took care of me. Once everything I left behind was sorted out I’d give him my decision.

‘I want to be sure Caleb.’

‘Well I’m sure I’ve never been so sure in my whole god damn life that I want you and only you there’s no other girl for me Avery. I’ll give you what you want but by the end of this year I want your answer if I don’t get it I’ll be out your life forever!’

She swollowed she didn’t want that she didn’t want to lose him forever they’d been in each other’s company for two years they’d become so close in these last two years she didn’t want to loose her best friend over something do tricks as this.

Evilne loked at Avery they’d been working togehter for the duration and she knew all about Caleb Carter. ‘Is how are you and that sexy devil Caleb Carter?’ She laughed thigh it came out as a giggle.’

‘Fine.’

‘It doesn’t sound fine tell me what’s on your mind honey.’

‘I just didn’t expect all of this. He’s my friend he was my best friend now he’s getting me to choose to be with him or without him.’

‘He’s got it bad honey.’

‘Don’t I know it.’

‘So what are you going to do?’

‘I don’t honestly know he’s my best friend.’

‘Doesn’t t stop the attraction honey. What do you honestly want.’

‘Honestly I don’t know I don’t want to ruin our friendship.’

‘And what if it doesn’t?’

‘We’ve been there beofre Eviline I told you remember.’

‘I know honey but you have to also take his feelings into consideration as well as yours he’s been patient and theirs only so much patients one is willing to take for someone else jsut remember that when you think about what you’re going to do.’

‘I will.’

‘He’s here’

‘What!” She said flustered

Eviline giggled. ‘Good afternong Mr. Carter.

‘Good afeterning to you to Eviline just call me caleb it’s less formal.’

She blushed avery shock her head trying to conceal the laughter she knew Eviline had a soft spot for Caleb from the first day they met. Most of the girls that worked here did they’d drewl over him cause his muscles pushed through his tight shirt but he wasn’t interested in them jsut her.

;are you ready Avery we have reservations for dinner.’

‘We do?’

‘We do I told you this morning .’

‘I must’ve missed it.’ She looked at Eviline. ‘Tell John I’ve fin side everything and gone home.’

‘Will do.’

He held his arm out. She slipped her hand through linking it. ‘Goodnight Eviline I’ll see you tomorrow.’

‘See you tomorrow enjoy your evening.’

‘Oh we will.’ Caleb said winking making her a hot mess before he and w]aveey walked out.

‘Stop teasing her Caleb.’

‘Why? You jealous?’

‘P-lease.’

‘You are aren’t you?’ He chuckled.

‘It in the slightest.’

He leaned towards her his cold breath sent tingles through her entire body, her breath hitched. ‘You’re the only one I want Avery. You’re the only one I’m interested in.’

‘But you said..’

‘Come on we’ll be late.’ He said pulling her towards the lambo. He opens the door she slipped her arm out of his sliding in he closed the door sliding over the bonnet before getting into the car racing off.
