Episode 5 : I love you too Akriti

My work for today is done. I sorted out the list of the work for tomorrow. I pack my bag and was about to stand from my seat and saw Vikrant coming towards. Oh! I remember I have said we can leave together.

He is a very kind, he helped me when I was confused with my work. “Kriti ready to go?”, Vikrant asked. “Vikrant can I ask you something?”, I asked.

“I said to be friendly with me. You need to take permission to say anything to me. Okay?”, he said.” why do you always call me Kriti? I mean no one has never called me like that so I wanted to know”, I said.

“Its because no one calls you that and you are special to me”, he said. “eh special?”, I said. “Because I never a girl who is my friend and live next door”, Vikrant said. “well let me give you a nickname to you. Hmm how about krant?”, I said laughing out loud. “No way don’t ruin my name”, he said laughing with me.

“wait here, I will get my car”, Vikrant said. “okay Krant”, I said and giggled. Vikrant laughed and left.

While I was waiting for Vikrant, I noticed a BMW car that stopped in front of me. I don’t think its Vikrant’s car, if he was this rich then he wouldn’t move into my next door. The saw the window rolling down and I noticed Mr. Dev. What now? Showing off his car or what?

“Waiting for a lift Akriti?”, Dev said. Wow! In your dreams. “No sir, I am waiting for my friend.”, I said. “Dev!”, he said correcting me. And then a car pulled over behind Dev’s car. “you okay Kriti?”, Vikrant asked from his car. “Kriti?”, Dev asked. “have a nice day sir”, I said. “Dev! Don’t make me say it again and again”, he said. I will never call you that. Never!

“Coming Vikrant!”, I said it so that Mr. Dev would hear it and went to sit in the passenger’s seat.

“was that Dev’s car?”, Vikrant said. “yeah sir asked if I wanted a lift”, I said. I think Vikrant  has guessed why I suddenly called his name. I thought he would ask me but he didn’t. A hour later we reached our homes. When I was about to get off the car Vikrant said, “see you tomorrow kriti”, Vikrant said. “you too”, I said and headed to my home.

I told my parents about everything that happened in the office. I googled Dev Dixit and showed it to them. “Arnav?”, they both said shockingly. “he has an evil personality with Arnav’s face”, I said. After the dinner I went to my room with a printout of Dev’s picture. I cut the picture and placed it inside an empty frame.

I took both the Arnav’s and Dev’s frame. “ Arnav see I got to meet someone who looks just like you. He is Dev and his personality is the worst.”, I whispered hugging Arnav’s picture. “I love you”, I said and went to sleep.

In my dream, I saw little Arnav holding my hand taking me somewhere. He took me to his terrace and we were playing with paper rockets and then this little Arnav came to me and said “I love you too Akriti”. I cried hugging him really tight.
