Episode 4 : How can anyone be that rude?

Akriti’s pov

I nervously knocked the door of boss’s cabin. “come in”, Dev said. I entered and saw him. He was sitting behind the table. I went close to the table. “Good morning sir, I am Akriti. I apologize for what happened before.”, I said. He ignored me and continues turning the pages of the file he is holding. I stared at me as I was so amused of how exactly he looks like Arnav.

“Just how long are going stare at me?”, Dev said with an anger tone. I was scared to see how cold his eyes were when they met mine. He might look like Arnav but he can never be Arnav. “So you are Akriti, who newly joined our company.”, Dev said. “mm- yes sir”, I replied. He didn’t say anything after. I stood close to the table for 5 minutes like I am being punished with his cold stares. I have never seen a man so handsome as him. Yeah! I need to also add I never saw a man as cold as him.

“uh sir?”, I said questioningly. Like for god sake what am I a mannequin for him, so that I should bear his cold stares?

“Don’t call sir, everyone from this office calls me Dev. Just go now, I don’t want to spot you being ill mannered and calling others with names.”, he said. What?? I know its my wrong but seriously? He didn’t have to say that. So rude.

“Mr. Dev Dixit, first is I already asked for an apology but you ignored and second is you are my boss but rudeness has it’s own limits. ”, I said angrily. I am not an temper person, but when my honesty is pointed, then I wont back-off from expressing my anger.

He was surprised of my answer and said,” oh! Miss Akriti I forgive you. Hope you don’t continue whining like a kid with ill-manners and you may leave now.” coldly.

he pressed the words ill manners. Oh! Testing my patience eh? Fine let me show you how can I control my anger.

“Nice meeting you sir”, I said with a smile and cold stares. Just like how he does. “Dev”, he said correcting my sentence. I smirked.

“have a nice day SIR”, I said and left the room. I heard chuckling sounds while closing the door. What is that a play for you? Amused? He is nothing like my Arnav. Arnav never showed his angry on me. He was the warmest and the best man.

As soon as I left the room angrily I felt everyone staring at me. Vikrant approached me and said showing concern, “Did he say anything rude to you?”

“how can anyone be as rude as him? It was my first day and he ruined my happiness.” I said. Noticing my face fuming with angry everyone laughed. Uh-why? “oh my god! See how cute is she, when she is in anger.”, Roohi said. Ah! I am embarrassingly said “uh- I being serious here”. Vikrant was standing beside me. When he say me with flushed face he patted my head and pushed forward his face near my ear and said “you are cute.”

Ehhh? I looked at him with my flushed face. He was smiling at my expression and continued patting my head. I felt cold stare and looked around and found Mr. Dev watching me with even more angrily than before. What does he want now? I was happy with my team but he chose ruin it with his cold stare. I stared back at him and looked away angrily.

Great! Today is my first day of working here, and I am already being hated by my boss.
