Episode 3 : Arnav..??

Akriti’s pov

Its been a week after visiting Vikrant. Today is my first day at Dixit Interiors. I am so nervous. I don’t know what will happen later in office. I thought of asking Vikrant about the company but I was scared of meeting his eyes.

I woke up early and took a quick bath. I wore a white top and red solid blazer jacket and grey jeans. I went down carrying my bag.

“oh my! I can see a beautiful lady who was a kid until yesterday”, mom said placing her hand on her mouth. “you look beautiful dear”, dad said while hugging me and placing a kiss on my forehead.

“I am always beautiful it’s just that you guys have better sight now”, I said. Mom and dad chuckled.

“you can do it. Best of luck for your first day honey”, mom and dad said.

“yeah, bye sweeties!”, I said winking my eye.

I entered the Dixit Interior’s modern building. I scanned to locate my department.” Hey Kriti!”, I heard a familiar voice I turned around to see Vikrant heading straight to me. I hesitantly waited for him.

“I went to your house to pick you up but your mom said you already left”, he said looking straight into my eyes. “eh?”, I said raising my eyebrow questioningly. God! I can’t utter a word when he stares at me like that.

“we live near and work at the same place. So I thought why not go to office together”, he said. “huh-uh yeah”, I said. “let’s go inside.”, he said.

While we were walking I noticed few receptionist staring at Vikrant. He looks totally different than in pajamas. Girls tend to like guys in formal wear but I think he looks handsome in any outfit. Ah! Akriti what are you even thinking?

“hello guys! Meet our teammate Akriti”, Vikrant said.

“I am in your team?”, I said. “Yeah, yesterday I met the HR and she gave me the new employee details and I am this team’s leader.”, Vikrant said smiling towards me.

What? He is now my team leader who stays next door? Thinking that I looked at him who was already looking at me. Everyone noticed us and stared at him and then me. They giggled.

“uh- hello I am Akriti 22 years old, please take care of me.”, I said. I was introduced to Nidhin, Saharsh and Roohi who were in my team. while they were explaining me about the work we heard clattering sounds as everyone stood from their seats. Even my team members stood and I stood confusingly. A guy wearing suit completely in black from top to bottom. He looked so handsome and walked towards us with a man secretary beside him.

“He is our boss, CEO of this Interiors, Dev Dixit”, Vikrant said to me. I looked at him and then at boss. As soon as I saw him I opened my mouth in shock. “Arnav!?”, I said out loud and everyone stared at me.

“Kriti?”, Vikrant said looking at me. Everyone looked at me with questioning eyes.

“who is she?”, Dev said angrily looking at me and then at Vikrant. “she is new employee, Akriti.”, Vikrant said. I didn’t say anything I just stared at him. If Arnav was alive, he would exactly like him. When I was in my thoughts ignoring my surrounding. Glancing angrily at me he went to his cabin .

Is he Arnav? I wish it was him. As I was thinking of how he looked exactly like Arnav, “Akriti, boss is calling you”, the receptionist said.  Why is he calling me?

“Akriti be careful, the boss is so cold. I think he got angry of what happened before”, Roohi said patting my shoulder.

Why is he calling me? I am nervous. Ah Akriti why did you say Arnav’s name out loud!
