Poems Around And About
So sad is the freezing air
That whisps around strands of fine hair
Hair black as night with a subtle glow
How sad she is in the winter snow
She lays still now
Stars are the sky the night is the moon
No one knows how
A figure so fragile and small will be gone soon
Layers of green, pink, and blue
A good summers day to you
Her coat says as it slips away
Under the snow it disappears and just as so does the day

My first child
Will not be wild
Maybe a girl
With a ballerina skirt who turns and whirls
Or possibly a boy
That would be a joy
But my child will be sweet
Patient before they eat
They will have etiquette
You see...
They don’t have to reflect me
But they must be kind
And have a great mind
A deformed mother like me
Oh I wish that that I could be
—————————————————
How could we know?
Her prom dress drags flakes of wet snow
Called dewdrops
She goes to take pictures with friends and props
Oh how could we know?
She would grow up to be so-
Beautiful?
Wonderful?
Our lovely dove
In heaven above

The notes crawl from
A twisted tone
A dire call less than a hum
A bird alone
In a cage
It is its home
Until death’s age
A child trapped
In plastic wrap
Thick and padded
For the hum to run around in
Eighteen hours a day
A cage
That just won’t go away
But maybe... with age

A cat sits on a windowsill
A child sits in the living room
A fireplace crackles still
We all stare at the lovely moon
A sea beyond
And a rising sun
Streaks of blonde
Like a gold medal won
A whisper as the wind blows
A smile puts cracks in the walls
The beauty of the world shows
The song echoes down the warm halls
—————————————————
A child’s life is full of tumbles and falls
Like differntly structured waterfalls
Rough or sweet
Both are a beet
Stains are drawn to them
A heart so red with love you can see it all down their shirt’s hem
Children are volatile when they get older
They thing the world is targeting them to be run over
Drama is real
It makes parents feel
A story is not over even once you get injured
Thier story book cover only thickened
Once you get your first full-time job
Only then will you see the mob
A life so innocent and sweet
Can turn into a lump of spoiled meat
Don’t let yourself stay down
Or give yourself a mask and underneath a frown
Rather enjoy the flavors of life
Be kind and gracious, then you won’t have much strife
—————————————————
A video game
A bean bag
A kitten wrapped-
Wrapped in a child’s cross-cross embrace of legs
A purring from the kitten
A child’s lovely smile
Innocent and lovely
It runs like honey
The video game doesn’t matter
Because from now on the child gets better.
Most of these poems have really deep meanings meant to help with mental struggles. Some are to not sympathize but relate to a loss or a feeling that may be uncomfortable. Please enjoy my poems to the fullest.... If they can be enjoyed as such. BUT!!!!!! No analyzing of my poems please. Not the in-school analysis at least.
