Chapter 0.5: Meeting her

Saeran's POV:

"Rika, where are you taking?" I asked. "I'm taking you to someone very special to me. I believe you met her when living at the Church." Rika told me. "Who used to live with me at the Church you brought me to?" I asked. "Yes. She's been living there for a bit since the outside world is dangerous. Plus, she has a weak body, so I trust the Church to take care of her when I'm busy with my work. Now, she lives here and you will from now on. So think this place is your new home." Rika told me. "But Rika...Where is V?" I asked. Rika went silent. "Don't worry about him," said Rika. According to the people in black cloaks, Rika is known as the Savior here, a cult that goes by 'Mint eye,' as the castle is called Magenta. They say it is Paradise.

Rika rescued me from my abusive Mother on the day after this young girl came to visit me. She made daily visits to bring me food when my mother is away. I wonder how she knows when my Mother leaves and comes back. I did see a bit of her hair. It was the color of that girl's hair that I met at the cathedral. I never saw her face though...I mostly saw the girl wearing a hoodie and sunglasses. She seemed to know V.

I wanted to know where Saeyoung left...the girl suddenly appeared a week after he suddenly disappeared....leaving me with my mother. I miss him so much...I want to know why he left me behind. I thought we made a promise we would leave together.....perhaps he only saw him as a burden.

After a few minutes of walking, we arrived at our location. Rika and I entered the room where I saw the same girl I was talking about, she still had the beautiful teal mint hair like the ice cream Saeyoung brought when mother was away. She turned around and for the first time, I saw her face. She has green eyes that look exactly like Rika's, and hair the same as V's. "Saeran, meet Fillo. My daughter." Rika told me. "S-so...you're the one who gave me food....?" I asked her. "Mhm! Mommy, is this the brother Saeyoungie talks about?" she asked. Rika nodded. "Nice to meet you! My name is Fillo Kim, I hope we can be friends one day!" She told me. I felt myself blush at her cuteness and innocence. Almost like an angel. "N-nice to finally meet you F-Fillo..." I stuttered a bit. I would look at Rika "I-I know you told me not to worry about V....but I can't help but wonder why he isn't here..." I said. Rika frowned a bit. "Oh...V, he was going to hurt you, just like he hurt me. I brought you here in order to protect you and make sure you and my daughter are safe." "Mommy.....why is daddy being mean....."Fillo asked as she looked like she was about to cry. "R-Rika, I'm scared...I want my brother...I want to know why he left me behind..." I said with my eyes watering. Fillo then gave me a big hug. "D-don't be sad Saeran...! Everything will be alright here....me and mother promise not to leave you behind! We will stay together forever" Fillo cheered as she hid her own tears. Rika gave both of us a hug as I cried happy tears. "T-thank you...Fillo..."
