Chapter 2: Sick and Hurt

Alex wakes up on a soft, comfy couch. He is covered in a soft blanket feeling warm and cozy. Orangish yellow sunlight beams through the window looking beautiful.  He sits up and his head starts pounding giving him a headache.

Alex: O-ow... Where am I?

Alex stands up trying to keep his balance and he smells food. His stomach rumbles and he walks into the kitchen to find a person cooking bacon and eggs.

Alex: H-hello? *cough*

The person looks at him. Its Asher. Asher smiles widely and walks up to him.

Asher: Please sit at the table! Food will almost be ready!

Alex: I- ok...

 Alex sits down at a beautifully decorated table with its brown wood. He looks around.

Alex: N-nice place here...

Asher: aww why thank you!

Asher brings him his food.

Asher: Once you're finished, Meet me outside!

Asher walks out of the house. Alex without hesitation gobbles up his food. He is full and pleasured. He then walks outside to find Asher sitting on a birch wood bench hanging from an old tall tree sipping tea with blankets covering him up looking warm and cozy. Alex walks up to him finding Asher smiling and patting the seat next to him. Alex sits down and Asher scooting closer and wrapping the blanket around him also.

Alex: W-what is happening to me?

Asher: Well, It looks like your inner demon is now taking over.

Alex: *confused* what does that mean?

Asher sips his tea.

Asher: Well, An inner demon is a demon that possesses a person's soul and giving them powers that humanity can't explain. You are in the beginning phase so you'll feel weak for a few weeks until your inner demon fully takes over.

Alex: B-but... What if I don't want to have one...

Asher looks at him and mimics a gun killing himself.

Asher: Get it? You'll probably have to deal with it...

Alex: oh... yeah got it.

Alex looks down. Asher looks at him.

Asher: You'll get used to it. Once you are fully taken over, I'll teach you some basic information about what to do.

Alex: Oh okay. I should probably be going. I don't want to disrupt you.

Asher: No it's ok. I like company. Stay as long as you need.

Alex: Oh ok...

Asher smiles up at him making Alex smile back.

Asher: Well... we should head inside. I got medicine for your headache.

Alex: G-good *cough*

They both walk inside and Asher gave Alex some medicine. They both sit on the couch.

Alex: How did you find me and brought me here?

Asher: My inner demon is a medic ichor. It basically signals me when a fellow demon is hurt mentally or physically. So it lets me teleport to the person and transport them to my house so I can nurse them back to health.

Alex: Oh... Is it often or rarely?

Asher: It doesn't happen much. You're the first person I met with an inner demon for a few months.

Alex: Oh...

Asher lays his head on Alex's shoulder.

Asher: It was lonely around here ever since the military tries to exterminate all demons which they are close at. *sigh*

Alex looks out the window. It has gotten dark already.

Alex: Yeah... I've heard about that.

Asher: Oh my it has got dark fast. You can sleep in the guest room if you want. Down the hall upstairs third door to the right.

Alex: Sounds good.

Asher yawns. He gets up and walks upstairs.

Asher: Just wake me up for anything you need. Goodnight!

Alex: Night.

Alex walks upstairs to the guest room and flopped down onto the bed falling asleep fast. He waked up in a dream again but it's different. Now it's a field of blood-red flowers and a white sky. He sees a woman in the distance. He walks up to the woman and touched her shoulder. The woman turns around...
