CHAPTER 4

*The Explanation

Nie Huaisang's POV

My mother died the day I was born and because of that many believed that I am BAD LUCK. Da-ge on the other hand supported me and protected me from the bullies, of course they are afraid of Da-ge, he has a very bright future unlike me. When I was 9 years old a group of thugs kidnapped me after seeing my birthmark, they intended to sell me to a brothel saying 'we'll make good money'. At first I was confused why would anyone want me? Since everyone knows that I am a good for nothing, inauspicious, meek little boy. Just as I wanted them to.

I spent 3 days with the group of thugs, constantly harassing me but no penetration since the brothel wants virgins and giving me insufficient amount of food and water. On the day I was about to be sold A-die and Da-ge along with several Nie Sect-disciples rescued me. Da-ge was so furious that he requested Father to close the brothel and kill the group of thugs who kidnapped me which Father quickly accepted. I wasn't wearing my clothes properly at that time since I was just about to lose my virginity to some asshole who paid a hefty amount of money. That's the time they saw my birthmark.

Da-ge was nervous and quickly covered my birthmark with his outer robe and Father ordered the disciples to silence everyone who saw it. From that day on whenever I go somewhere I always have some bodyguards with me.

Whenever I bring out the topic about my birthmark they will either change the topic or just shut up. When I was 13 I experienced having menstruation  I was so scared that I thought I was dying or injured or something, that was the time they told me about the mark.

It was said that we give extreme pleasure during intercourse, we also can get pregnant maybe even more fertile than normal women, and we are a bit more feminine than other men. In Nie Clan I am the only one who possess this trait and so it must not be disclosed to the public for safety purposes, whether in the Unclean Realm or outside the clan I am in danger.

"Hmm... Alright so are you going to kill me or-"

"Eh? No of course not, if I kill you Wei Wuxian's going to kill me besides we've been friends for years I trust you enough" I interrupted Jiang Cheng while looking down.

"You trust me?"

I looked at his brown eyes as I flashed him one of my brightest and most genuine smiles that I never thought of using since the day my brother died.

"Yes I trust you Jiang Cheng, please keep this secret of mine" I walked towards him and patted his shoulder, I went to the bathroom and changed into a more proper clothing

"Huaisang I'm so sorry for intruding a while ago... I actually wanted to ask you something before you... You... You know what I mean" Jiang Cheng's stuttering can be heard clearly.

"Oh? What was it?" I came out of the changing room with my signature olive robes, my favorite fan in my hand.

"Who was it really... Who is the suspect?"

*Third Person's POV

The smaller sighed and unfolded his fan, covering his lower face, fanning very softly as the loosed strands of his hair are softly swaying.

"It's..."

"Sect Leader bad news! Something's wrong with the man eating tomb!"

A Nie sect disciple barged into Nie Huaisang's chamber interrupting the two from their conversation.

"Say it clearly what's wrong? What's going on?" Nie Huaisang helped the disciple get up.

"It started luring people inside it again... Walking corpses are everywhere" the disciple said shaking.

Both sect leaders ran out of the room. Nie Huaisang ordered the outer disciples to keep the guests safe and to secure the area commanding his inner disciples to go with him to solve the problem.

"No you are not coming with me!" Nie Huaisang told Wei Wuxian firmly.

"Walking corpses are everywhere and you... You have low spiritual power" Wei Wuxian argued.

"You are PREGNANT!" Nie Huaisang reminded him.

"I know but still... At least let one of us come with you" Wei Wuxian bargained.

Nie Huaisang pondered and sighed.

"Fine. Only one I can't risk everyone" He declared defeat.

"I'll come with you" Jiang Cheng told him.

"You are a sect leader you can't be risking your life-"

"We're all sect leaders, Lan Zhan's a chief cultivator, Wei Wuxian's a matriarch if you are going to reason with us using those words then you are going back on your word" Jiang Cheng interrupted him

"Fine. Bring some disciples with you... In case something goes wrong you run. Understood?" Nie Huaisang strictly told him

"I-"

"Let's go!"

"Master!"

Nie Huaisang is now clearly pissed but he did not let them show it, with deep breaths he turned around and saw his trusted adviser... Su Shang.

"What are you doing here?" Nie Huaisang asked suspiciously

"Let me come with you" Su Shang answered

"Master we're running out of time!" a disciple intervened

With a frustrated growl he approved. They set off and went to the man-eating tomb. He kept his guard up, feeling uneasy and has that gut feel that something is wrong... Most importantly Su Shang is here...

"Be careful Wanyin" Nie Huaisang smiled brightly and focused on the main problem.

Man-eating tomb is tampered, and the one who did it is...

"It's an ambush!!!"
