"arisu!" you yell and run up to your friend who was already at the door you and chishiya were on your way to

"y/n" arisu smiles

"i see that you noticed it too" chishiya looks at arisu

"yeah" arisu says, now taking ahold of your hand and using his free hand to open the door

he hesitates for a moment

"aren't you going to open it?" chishiya asks

"why did the tagger chase us? they could have just waited here" arisu says

"seems like there's something else we don't know" chishiya notes

"however, if you don't open it" he shows arisu his phone which only has three minutes left on the timer

arisu nods his head before slowly opening the door

arisu goes in first, followed by you, and then chishiya in last

"there's another door" you let go of arisu's

hand and walk over to it, chishiya follows you "i'll be the lookout for outside" arisu walks back outside

now standing side to side with chishiya you put your hand on the knob and start to turn it

your face gets as pale as a ghost when you hear the sound of a gun cocking behind you

you both turn around only to be met with a gun in your face

"y/n watch out!" chishiya pushes you to the ground and tasers the tagger in the stomach

although you were thankful for chishiya saving your ***, it still hurt being pushed with such force

"****" you rub your head and groan

"you didn't seem to think so earlier when you were watching me get shot at" you arm onto his and stand up latch your

"well it never hurts to come prepar-" he was cut off by the tagger shooting again

you run to the other room and shut the door while chishiya runs back outside to where arisu stands clueless as ever

"what're you doing out here? where's y/n?" arisu asks

"the tagger starting shooting and we both ran different ways" he utters to arisu

"So she's in there all alone?" arisu questions

"****" you stand up rubbing your head again

noticing the buttons on the wall you regain your composure and run over to them

"push both buttons at once to clear game" you say out loud

"are you fucking serious" you sigh in frustration

you run over to the window and start screaming

"someone come! the safe zone is in room 406! it's impossible to clear the game alone, we need two people to do this!"

"i'm trying, y/n!" arisu pounds on the jammed door

"i'm on my way!" the short haired girl yells

"shit" you mumble as you watch the door get kicked open by the second tagger

the tagger raises their gun up to you and begins shooting

you bend down and dodge it while running towards the tagger, pushing them into the wall both of you fight for your lives

you push the taggers back into the wall and the tagger slams your side into the wall

- time remaining, 30 seconds -

"someone!" you scream out

"we're trying, y/n!" you hear arisu scream

you see a familiar girl with short hair jump through the window you previously screamed out of

"you called?" she asks

you hear a voice call from the door you came from

"hey!" it was chishiya and arisu

chishiya threw his taser to the girl and points towards you

she jumps for it and and tases the tagger in the leg

you and the other girl both jump and hit the buttons

you hit the ground with a thud and start looking around for any signs of loss

there weren't any.. well for you

you let out a breath of relief and run to arisu who is now standing in the corner of the room

you all watch as the tagger takes of their mask

"it's just a normal person.. not any different

than any of us" you say

the collar around her neck starts blinking

"arisu she looks scared" you look up at him

not vocally saying anything back he takes you into his arms and covers your eyes

"hm?" you mumble into him

you hear the beeping of the woman's collar getting louder and louder until it stops

you didn't have to physically see what happened to know what happened

the way arisu's heart rate and breathing got faster gives it all away

the tagger had died

"come on let's go" arisu insists

"no" you push yourself off him

"i'm not some kid who needs to be sheltered from seeing this!" you point at the dead woman on the ground

"especially when it was my fault"

"i'm sorry" you get fall to your knees

everyone just sits in silence for a moment

"hey it's not your fault, everyone was meant to participate in the game. you did what you had to, so thanks to you all are friends are alive" the short haired girl says

"all my friends" you whispers to yourself

"i know arisu is alive cause he's right here but where's karube?" you quickly stand up and leave the room in search for your other friend

"karube!" you yell out

arisu catches up to you and starts searching with you

it takes around five minutes for you two to spot karube

"karube!" you run up to him

"you're hurt" you say

"no shit sherlock" he chuckles

"just shut up and grab my hand" you offer your physical support to your injured friend

he accepts your offer and grabs your hand

pulling himself up "now let's get back to chota" you smile

arisu smiles back and nods his head
