Chapter 3 The Royal Bird

She bang the table and quickly stand up,

"No i can't do this!I don't want to be a worthless Author."

Confident,she suddey heard something hit her window in the balcony.She carefuly walk toward her window and take a little glimpse to see what is it,

'I can't see it,should i open the window?What if it's an assassin?'

Even tho she's a little scared she quickly put out all her courage to see it,so she hurriedly open the window and saw an injured red bird.She goes to it and gently carry the bird,at first it tries to resist not after she gently pat it's head.

"There,there.Don't worry i won't hurt you,now letvs get that wound treated.'

She put it down her bed and slowly back away going to the door,she peeked out and signal Jane to go inside.

"Jane quick."

Whispering,Jane hurrriedly get in confused.

"What is it M'lady?"

Ether pointed at the bird sad,

"I saw an injured bird,can you help get some medicine for me?"

Jane slowly breath out of relief and smile at her,

"You don't have to M'lady,i'm specialize at healing magic i can help to cure it."

Ether happily smile at hug her,

"Thank you!"

Jane slowly approached the bird and it got it's guard up ready to kill her,

"It's ok,i'm not gonna hurt you"

She said calmly slowly reaching her hand at it,after sometime she finally put her hand at it head and starts to cast speel.

"Goddess of healing Titane,help me heal this poor soul.Healing."

The birds wings slowly regenerate and it quickly spread it's wings flying toward Ether with it's claw.She quickly closed her eyes but it unexpectedly gently land on her arm,

"Thank you little human girl,also you beautiful maid"

The bird said bowing down giving it's respect.Ether just looked at it confused,

'Eh?A bird can speak?'

"J-jane,is it natural that a bird can speak?"

She asked flustered,Jane chuckles realising something.

'I forgot that Young Miss didn't have permission to learn magic cause she doesn't have magic power'

"That's a spirit animal Young miss,it seems that it's lost accidentally hit your balcony window."

Jane answered calmly.Ether just looked at it amazed,

'So it's a beast?This is the first time i saw one,back in my world scientist is just about to discover other world species.'

She sat down the chair and happily pat the bird head,

"What's your name?"

She asked.The birth flys up and she thought it will leave so she felt a little sadness,but little did she know it will just sit in the table.

"I'm Ormerod,your Royal bird"

Ether rest her head at the table and look at it's tag reading the title,

"Royal bird,you mean your one of the Royal guards spirit animal?"

"No-"

He was about to say no until he remember one scene.

"Remember Ormerod if your outside you will not say who you really are,if you do your gonna be a delicious chicken soup."

Just by remembering the words his owner said he shivered,

'I don't wanna be that man dinner,sorry cute little girl but i have to lie.'

"Y-yes,your obsolutely right."

His words got followed by a laugh.Ether looked at him not believing him,she then smiled sweetly like she's clueless.

"I see,so you don't wanna say it.It's ok,it's not like it's an important thing so i can return you to your owner."

Ormerod felt a sudden chills in his spine like the chills he felt when he's with his owner.

'What's this?Why are they so identical?'

"Ah,i see"

She quickly stand up and head straight to bed,

"Then go on,i think you can go home alone now."

She said coldly waving her hand pushing him away,he got shocked and his jaw dropped.

'She's the same as owner!'

He quickly looked at Jane and whispered,

"Hey Miss Maid,help."

Jane just laughed and quickly goes to the door opening it,

"Then have a good rest M'lady!"

A sudden bang in the door and Jane is already gone,while Ormerod just stand there wasted.

'Is everyone who lived here is heartless?'

"Hey missy i wan't to stay some more time.You'll let me right?Right?"

Ormerod said while closing his face at Ether face with his eyes widen.Ether got pissed so she hit him with a pillow and glare at him,

"Fine you can stay,but shut up!I'm trying to think about something."

"Oh,ok,ok.If that's what you want."

He obediently whispered quietly nodding.Ether put down the pillow and burried her face on it silently,

'Aaah!He said he will stay quiet but why is he so loud?What kind of chicken soup is he?'

Sad,she turned her face toward Ormerod and watch what he was doing.Not only did he accidentaly spill the glass of water,the chair also fell which make her more pissed.

Another crash happen and Ormerod broked the mirror,

"Oops!Sorry about that,i will surely try to not damage anything."

Ether just smile but inside of her she's broken,

"It's ok."

'I already broke lots of things in my past life,but since the original owner of this body precious everything in her room i kinda felt that.'

She clenched the pillow and angrily throw it at Ormerod headshot and it pulls him out the room,

'Head,shot.'

"Gaah!"

Ormerod shouted outside.

"Ormerod go back to your owner now,he must be worried."

She shouted with relief and she can finally sleep peacefully.
