Episode 2

The Gods began to quarrel, when I would be able to perceive the name Will.

They began to have differences in their educational policies.

Reus, the Omnipotent God, who picked me up and who can transform into any creature, whose true form no one knows said this in the form of a stag.

"Will is a sweet kid. I want to raise him free and uninhibited. I want to raise him to be unrestrained on this mountain."

The rest of the gods agreed with this educational policy, but first Ronin, the Sword God, spoke.

He was like the Oriental God of Swords with an oriental samurai blade hung on his waist.(SN: I guess a katana)

Ronin raised his sword and said,"It's all well and good to let them grow up free and wild, but a man needs to be good with his hands. Especially swordsmanship. I want this boy to learn swordsmanship and become the best swordsman he can be."

And then he gives me a handmade wooden sword to hold. The young me swung the wooden sword with joy.

Miria, who was watching, took the wooden sword from me and hugged me.

"What are you talking about, you savage? This child will be surrounded by the animals of the mountain and become a healer to heal their wounds. He will live out his life peacefully as the world's beast healer. Swordsmanship is barbaric."

"What?"

"What?"

Ronin glared at Miria, but she had no goodwill towards him. She was the Goddess of Healing, but her abilities were comparable to the God of Swords.

And Miria, for a woman, was very strong-minded.

The Goddess of Healing, also known as the Goddess of Fertility, now lives in seclusion on this mountain, but in the days of the Gods, she took the lead against the Evil Gods and defeated many of them. She had nothing to fear of from the God of Swords.

An old man with a pointy hat and a pair of ship's eyes was watching them interact. He looks like a sorcerer, and in fact is a sorcerer.

His name is Vandal. He is the god of magic.

He had retreated to Table Mountain to study the truth of magic, buried under a mountain of books.

He is the type of researcher who is so devoted to magic that he says he only shaved his beard a few years ago, but he also has a few words to say about my education policy.

"He is clever and intelligent. I want him to be my successor. I want to train him to be the strongest and wisest man I can."

His voice was dry, but strong and full of determination.

In other words, the gods were divided in their educational policy.

Ronin, the God of Swords, who wants me to master swordsmanship.

The goddess Miria, who wants to turn me into a healer.

Vandal, the God of Magic, who wants me to pursue the path of magic.

None of them are ready to take a step back.

Sparks fly between the gods.

It's like a warehouse filled with gunpowder, but there's an intermediary.

It's the Omnipotent God Reus.

He is the master God who unites the Gods of Table Mountain.

He is a God of infinite beauty, but in the form of a stag, he said with a dignified expression and voice,"Don't fight in front of the child! If you fight any longer, I will take Will and leave for another world."

The three of them stopped their arguments, not because they were angry with Reus, but because they were afraid that their beloved child would be taken away from them.

--For a brief moment, Ronin makes a show of backing down, then casually places his wooden sword at my side, and the fight resumes.

Miria puts herbs near me, and Vandal puts his spell book. Vandal, who is a crafty old man, puts candy on top of the magic book, which made them both furious.

It looked like they were about to get into another fistfight, so Reus, the Omnipotent God, said, "I'm not going to let that happen again."

"Oh, come on, you guys. Why are you trying so hard to get your point across?

Ronin replies.

"That's because he's cute, Reus, and I want him to follow in my footsteps. I mean, he's a great swordsman. I'm sure he'll be able to protect himself in the future."

Miria replied.

"I agree with the first part perfectly. But what will protect her is her kind heart. It is the ability to heal others that will be his bread and butter."

Vandal nodded.

"You're right. But it is knowledge that will save him. Knowledge of all things is what will make him happy."

I know that each of you love him, but if we continue like this, we'll never get anywhere.

With that in mind, Reus declares.

"All right. If that's what you want, then so be it. But no fighting is allowed. If you do, I'll take Will away from you."

Reus looked beat.

"Will's education will be on a daily basis. Each of you will take turns."

He announced.

"What does that mean?"

Goddess Miria asks.

"That's exactly what I meant. Each of you'll children will educatd the child. That is, Ronin will teach him swordsmanship, Milia will teach him healing, and Vandal will teach him magic."

When the Gods heard those words.

"I didn't know that was possible!"

The Gods looked at each other.

When Reus saw the look on his face, he said.

"This is it. This child will receive the best education from the most powerful Gods. He will grow up to be an adult, but I wonder what kind of adult he will be when he does."

I wonder what he will be like when he grows up.

He may have better swordsmanship than the God of Swords, more healing power than the Goddess of Healing, and more magical power than the God of Magic.

Or he could be a half-hearted adult who is no better than Ronin in swordsmanship, no better than Miria in healing, and no better than Vandal in magic.

But none of that mattered.

The important thing is what kind of person this child, Will, will become.

As for me, I wanted him to a strong mind rather than a strong body.

He wanted him to have a strong heart that would not yield to any strong enemy, a heart of justice that would not allow evil, and a heart of mercy that would show mercy to the weak.

As long as he had those things, I didn't care if he became the weakest man in the world.

Although he was determined to raise Will in this way, Reus' fears were unfounded within a few years.

In the process of growing from a baby to an infant, Will shows glimpses of extraordinary strength.

One day, Ronin, the God of Swords, was training Will, teaching him swordsmanship from morning till night, he said jokingly,"Will, if you cut through that giant tree in front of you, I'll give you the dagger you've always wanted."

"Really?" Will was delighted and immediately started to tear down the huge tree.

Like Ronin, he tried to produce a sword flash from the tip of his sword, but it was not so easy.

--It wasn't something that would come out, but Will swung his wooden sword three times, imitating Ronin, and then produced a sword flash from the end of the wooden sword.

The golden flash from the wooden sword hit the huge tree.

The giant tree shattered.

Ronin, who had been watching, said, "Well done. I'll give you the dagger as promised," he said, handing it to Will.

Will is delighted and goes to show off the dagger to his friends in the mountains - the animals.

Then the Goddess of Healing appears. She stood beside Ronin and complimented Will.

"Will is so talented. He's not only a great healer, but also a top-notch swordsman."

Of course, she would make him a healer but Ronin hadn't heard that. Or more accurately, he ignored her.

He was surprised at Will's tremendous talent.

Ronin said to himself as he walked to where the tree had been.

"...... I told him to cut down the tree, didn't I? I told him to cut down the tree, and he cut it down.

Ronin smiles as he grasps the piece of wood that has become a splinter.

Miria wanted him to be a healer and Vandal wanted him to be a sorcerer, but Ronin wanted Will to be the strongest swordsman he could find.

When he saw Will's extraordinary talent, he renewed his determination.
