Chapter 4

My father was a renowned gang leader. He went behind the bars countless times. But everytime he could come out smilingly within 48 hours though I don't know why. He was fearless. He acted like nothing was impossible for him. I heard from my mother that, my mom once fell in love with my father. At that time mom helped him to fled away from his enemy. My mom didn’t know that my father was a gang leader. She helped him out of pity. But as time went by & my father kept communicate with my mom, my mom found him attractive. She fell in love with him. That was the biggest mistake of her life....

My mom wanted to marry my father & change him for good. She wanted to get him back to the right path. She tried her best. But she failed in the end. One cannot change a person if he doesn’t want to change himself. I don’t know why my father married my mom. Because he never cared about my mom. He would humiliate her all the time. I vaguely remember that my father uesd to beat my mom for even a small reason. My mom kept enduring all his humiliations & beatings just for one reason. She loved him. Love was her weakness. And this love destroyed all her dreams & entity. The person he loved broke her trust.

I don’t actually know what my father did that day, that made my mom take such a big decision all of a sudden. She gathered all her courage, took me with her & left the house. My father didn’t stop her that day. Later my father came once in our current house to see me. I think he keep an eye out on us all the time. My mother wanted to divorce but my dad didn’t agree. Never came back again to take us back. He never cared for us. Not for me too. I think that's becuase I'm a girl who cannot help him in his work in future.

After my mom left the house & my dad, she didn’t returned to her family. Well,there was no one in her family except for her boozer elder brother. She was like a burden to him. When my mother got married, he was over relaxed. He didn’t even bother to know who my mother was going to marry. So,my mother rent a small house & managed a work for earning money. She worked hard all her life for raising me up. My father never send money for us. All he did was spread the news that I'm his only daughter.

My father could marry any woman he liked or even could keep a few mistresses if he wanted as he has so inheritor. But surprisingly we heard that, after my mom left the house he never married or brought any woman home. I'm not sure what my father actually wants. Everytime he commit a crime, police would come to our house for investigation. Though they couldn’t find anything useful, our neighborhood would know the fact that police came to our house. Me & my mom were used to hear their taunt everyday.
