I'm freaking out

I'm currently in a taxi on my way to my home. I haven't told my family that I'm coming back I wanted to surprise them. Feeling  nostalgic watching all the scenery passing through my window I realize I should've come back earlier. I've always let my fear guide me I mean what the hell! they're my parents they can let me know there expectations but they won't force me to fulfill them.

It's 8 pm rightnow my family must be having dinner a perfect opportunity for me to barge in the house and surprise them. As the taxi enter through the gate circling around the driveaway I watch my house come into view.

More like my family's mansion.

The driver whistles at the site of the house. I just can't call it a mansion. It freaks me out. He stops in front of the stairs leading to the door. I get off quickly after paying the driver grab my bags from the trunk and start making my way towards the door. Opening the door with my keys I walk inside the house noticing how silent it was. It wasn't like my parents had a herd of children, it was just mum, dad, henry and I in this huge *** place so it makes sense that it'd be quiet. I leave my bags in the entry way and move towards the dinning room. I hear voices coming from the kitchen on my way. It looks like the kitchen is busy busy right now I wanted to say high to Dora our lovely munchkin of a chef who always gave me extra servings of cakes no matter how much of a giant football I was when I was a kid but oh well I'll meet her after I greet my family.

As soon as I enter the dinning room I'm shooketh to my core bitch! I fucking freeze. This is not what I was expecting. Oh hell no... What do I do!? I realize two things at that moment.

First thing that while I was expecting my family to be having a quiet family dinner that was not the case. It was family dinner alright but other than my family all my Uncles and their families were all sitting at the table having a jolly good time. All their kids even those who were in universities outside cobalt bay were here. Must be one fuckin special family dinner.

Which brings me to the second thing I realized : Son of a bitch I wasn't invited! Nobody called me or told me to come.

What the hell!

I must've said that outloud because suddenly too many to count in my shooketh condition pair of eyes where staring at me.

And they continued staring at me. So I stared back.Nobody is saying anything. So I don't speak either.

This is getting weird I can't handle so much stress, this staring competition is giving me performance anxiety. It's my one pair of eyes against there so many so I accept my defeat with my head held high and speak first.

" Hello Peasants "

Wtf am l saying.

See this is what happens to me when I'm stressed. My mom is the first one to reply.

" Oh Murphy you're back ", she seems surprised. Well that was the intention to surprise them. She then stands up and comes towards me. And I realize another thing: they're all dressed formally. Why are they dressed formally? What's the freakin event? I'm not dressed formally by the way I'm in a tank top and jeans(picture above is murphy). Highly underdressed for the unknow yet to be figured out occasion.

My mom hugs me tightly and I hug her back. I've missed her warmth. She's shorter than my 5"8 height which I got from my 6"3  father but other than that I'm her copy. Same golden brown eyes and dark brown hair. As she moves away to look at me smiling while taking me in my father comes and gives me a big bear hug. After that my brother and all my uncles and aunts line up to give me a hug.

You'd think I just came back from a war.

I note how none of their kids get up to greet me. Uncultured little brats. Is this how you treat a person who last time  you met was four years ago.... Uhh okay maybe four years of no contact might make them shy in approaching me. Well no worries I forgive them then.

So here's a little intro of my uncles and aunts. First up are the Blacks. So my uncle Nathan black and his wife Nova black have two kids : Rome and Jana. Jana is a copy of aunt Nova but with grey eyes and raven black hair like uncle Nate. Rome pretty much is uncle Nate's copy with the same raven black hair but with aunt Nova's piercing blue eyes.

Then we have the Knights. So Christopher Knight and his wife Lillian knight have one daughter Elena. I like to call them the golden family because well  they're all blonde. Uncle chris is honey blonde with brown eyes while both mother and daughter are ice blondes with sky blue eyes.

The third and the last ones are the Maxwell's. William Maxwell and Ella Maxwell with there three kids: Jack, Aiden and Blair. All three with Auburn hair and forest green eyes like aunt ella.

Oh and another thing. THEY'RE ALL FREAKISHLY GORGEOUS. How much gorgeous you ask? Well Elena at 28 is an A-list actress shaking it up at hollywood, Blair at 23 is on her way to being America's next top model. And the others while not being in the glamour world have still graced the covers of multiple magazines . Rome and Aiden because at 28 and 30 they're next in line for inheriting the family business. The Blacks with their chain of hotels and the Maxwell with their resorts. Then their is Jack only 27 but one of world's best football player. Jana 26 launched her own clothing brand 2 years ago. Even Henry's been on the cover of a sports magazine, he plays basketball, a joy for my dad.

Then there is yours truly. The couch potato. I've never been on the cover of a magazine not because I wasn't pretty enough for the job but apparently you need to be something more than just Geff Terrance's forgotten daughter to have your face on the cover.

After hugging every uncle and Aunt and them commenting on how I've grownup since last they saw me, like I had any other choice but to grow up, I decided to be the bigger person and take the bull by the horns. After hugging aunt Lily I move towards the table where all the high and mighty are sitting and introduce myself.

" Hi everyone I'm Murphy "

A snort is the only reply I get.
