#EP 2# (Flashback Or The Accident)

Three Years Ago

Through heavy rain a car was speeding up on the highway. It could be seen followed by another two cars. Suddenly a truck came from another way. Jian He tries to avoid it, he succeeded but the car is gonna crash into the bridge. Jian He jumps out of the car. The car from the behind shots a bullet. Jian He was shot on his back. 23 years old Jian He turns into a cat (fwoosh).

BOOM!!! CRACK!!! SIZZLE!!!

Rosie Su was going the same way. Her assistant, Jess was driving the car. Suddenly,

SCREECH! SCREECH!

Rosie Su (RS): “Jess! What happened?”

Alya Jo (Jess): “There’s an injured cat in front of the car.”

Rosie Su (RS): “WHAT?!?! Let me take a look…(about to open the car door)”

Alya Jo (Jess): “RS, take the umbrella.”

Rosie takes the umbrella and sees the injured cat, Jian He.

Rosie Su (RS): “Poor kitty! Let me take care of you and heal you! (Rosie lets go of the umbrella. She picks up the cat and hugs it)”

Jian He (Alex/Ralph): “Purr! Purr! (weakly looks up at Rosie.) Purr!”

Rosie quickly gets inside the car and closes the door.

Alya Jo (Jess): “Rosie! Why are you drenched? Didn't I give you the umbrella?”

Rosie Su (RS): “No time to talk! Drive the car to the nearest hospital. The cat looks seriously injured and it’s shot by a bullet. Hurry and drive fast!”

Alya Jo (Jess): “Don’t worry! I’ll drive fast…”

Alya drives the car as fast as she could. After 15 minutes of driving, they reached the hospital.

Hospital

The doctor took a look at Jian He and said that he needed an operation. Rosie arranged everything. The operation started.

After an hour

Doctor: “Congratulations! The operation was successful! It needs to be taken care of for 1 month and after resting for 2 months it’ll be fine.”

Rosie Su (RS): “(looks at the cat) When will it wake up?”

Doctor: “It’ll wake up in 2-3 hours. You don’t need to worry. Also its body is weak now and it needs more nutrition. I’ll prescribe some meds for it and a diet chart.”

Rosie Su (RS): “Thank you, Doctor.”

Doctor: “No need to thank me. It’s my duty. Please follow me to take the prescription.”

Alya Jo (Jess): “I’ll go with him. Rosie, you stay here.”

Rosie Su (RS): “Okay!”

Alya left with doctor. After getting the prescription, she got the prescribed meds and came back to Rosie.

After three hours, Jian He finally woke up.

Jian He (Alex/Ralph): (Where am I? A hospital? Who brought me here? I remember I was in front of a car and that girl… Yes… That girl! She saved me… But… Wait… I’m still in my cat form? And my back aches… What’s going

on?) Meow! Meow!

Rosie Su (RS): “Kitty! You’re awake! Alya! Call the Doctor!”

Jian He (Alex/Ralph): “Meow!”

Alya hurriedly goes and calls for the Doctor.

Rosie Su (RS): “Kitty! (pats Jian He’s head) After discharge you’ll have to live with me. What should I call you?”

Jian He (Alex/Ralph): “(Wait! Why does this girl look so familiar? Her scent is also familiar. Oh! Isn’t she Junior Rosie?) Meow?!? (She was the one who saved me? Wait... Her face! Rosie Su (RS): “ (keeps on patting him) Should I call you Ralph?”

Jian He (Alex/Ralph): “(Ralph is good) Purr! Purr! Meow!”

Rosie Su (RS): “Oh! You like this name? Then I’ll call you Ralph from now on! (gentle smile)”

Creak! Creak!

Doctor: “Looks like it is awake. Let me check.”

After checking,

Doctor: “He looks quite good now but as he was severely injured we’ll give him a saline for now.”

Rosie Su (RS): “When can he be discharged?”

Doctor: “He can be taken home tomorrow. But he’ll have to take 2-3 more saline so it’d be good if you could bring him to the hospital for that and he’ll need another check-up after a week.”

Rosie Su (RS): “Okay then! You can give him the saline now. We’ll take him back home tomorrow.”

Doctor: “The nurse will come and inject him the saline.”

Rosie Su (RS): “Okay Doctor. Thanks for your help.”

Doctor: “It’s my duty.”

The doctor leaves.

Slam!

Rosie looks back at Alya.

Rosie Su (RS): “Alya, it’s late. You should go back or else Aunt will be worried.”

Alya Jo (Jess): “What about you?”

Rosie Su (RS): “(looks at Ralph) I’ll stay here tonight. You go back and come by tomorrow morning and bring me a set of clean dress as well.”

Alya Jo (Jess): “Ok. I’ll come by tomorrow. But you also take some rest.”

Rosie Su (RS): “Don’t worry! Don’t worry! It’s late! You go back now! GO! GO!”

Creak! Creak! (door opening sound)

Alya Jo (Jess): “You don’t have to chase me away. I’m going! Good Night!

Rosie Su (RS): “Hehe… Good Night!”

Rosie Su (RS): “Ralph! You’re so soft! (patting Ralph’s head) Don’t worry! It won’t hurt too much of a injection. So don’t be scared. (kisses on its head)”

Jian He (Alex/Ralph): “(blush) Meow! Meow!”

Rosie Su (RS): “Haha! Is my Ralph being shy?”

Jian He (Alex/Ralph): “(Junior Rosie, you’re such a teaser!) Meow! (feeling shy)”

Knock! Knock! Knock!

Rosie Su (RS): “Who is it?”

Nurse: “Ma’am, I’m here to inject the saline.”

Rosie Su: “Come in!”

Creak! Creak!

Nurse: “There there kitty! I’ll just inject it and you’ll be fine soon!”

Jian He (Alex/Ralph): “(yell) MEOW! MEOW!”

Nurse: “(done injecting. This cat is really rude. He didn’t even let me touch him. Well… Let’s see. You’re quite cute. So I’m gonna pet you. I’ll see how you avoid it… humph…) Kitty! (tries to pat his head.)

Jian He (Alex/Ralph): “(This woman! How dare she try to pet me?) Scratch! MEOW!”

Nurse: “Ah! You!”

Rosie Su (RS): “What happened?”

Nurse: “I don’t know. It just scratched me.”

Rosie Su (RS): “Oh! Then… You should get it disinfected. Off you go!”

Nurse: “(Why does it feel more like she’s shooing me away? Whatever…) Well… Yes yes.”

Creak! Slam!

Rosie Su (RS): “Ralph! You naughty little thing! You didn’t like her touching you and just scratched her?”

Jian He (Alex/Ralph): “(How did she know?) Meow! Meow!”

Rosie Su (RS): “Haha!!! You cute little thing! What do I do with you?!?! Hahaha!!!”

Jian He (Alex/Ralph): “(She’s so gorgeous!) Meow! Meow!”

Rosie Su (RS): “Alright… you take a rest now. I’m also tired. So I’m gonna take a nap. (pats Jian He’s head and kisses him) Good Night!”
