Chapter 2: Meet "him"

{3rd POV}

Morning at

xxx airport, Selena holds the sandwich in one hand, tries to eat it quickly.

The other hand holds her phone as she texts Yvonne.

(Messages)

Selena: " I'm on way to China now. I have a medical conference there. "

Yvonne: " Where exactly? "

Selena: " Guangzhou."

Yvonne: " Feng Wang lives there, too 😃"

Selena: “Oh, really. But I haven't even talked to him or even added friends. And I’m not

sure that I’ll have time to meet him 😅.”

Yvonne: “Okay. Good luck with the conference. I love you <3 “

Selena: “ I love you too, bestie <3”

The flight took off at 8 AM and landed at 9 pm. After a long time on the plane, Selena is exhausted now. She takes a taxi to the hotel, and dropped onto the comfy bed loosely. She fell

into deep sleep.

The next morning,

Selena wakes up and gets ready for the conference in the afternoon. She worked nonstop to join in it. She knows this is her chance to make everything perfect.

She goes to the grocery store nearby to get breakfast. Walking around the store, she finally decided to get a Chinese egg cake and a bottle of lemon tea.

When she steps out the store, she accidentally hit a man and made her fall over.

“Ouch…”

“ 小姐，你还好吗？(Are you okay, miss?) ” The man asked her and held out his hand to help her up.

She took his hand and tilted her head to look.

“ OMG... He’s so handsome. 😍” She looked into his eyes dazedly.

“ 小姐? (miss?)”

Until he called her one more time, she awoke. Her cheeks blush with embarrassment.

“I don’t speak Chinese. Sorry for

staring.” Selena spoke to break the awkward atmosphere.

He said nothing, just bent down and picked up her purse. Suddenly noticed her scratched knee. He took out a bandage, and put it on her wound.

" He is so gentle~~~" she thought.

“Thank you so much, sir.” She bowed down to thank him and wore on a wry smile.
