Ch 4 The Forgotten Facts

The silhuete stumbled a bit before stablelising itself. The figure then glared at Xue who is standing before his prey.

Xue know his chances of winning is slim but he doesn't hesitate to stand before the child while looking at his enemy.

It was a Black Mountain Bear almost 3 meter tall when standing, before its towering figure, Xue looks like a child.

It has black coat with yellow crest on its chest which means he is a low rank demonic beast which is their bad luck.

With Xue's condition he is ready evolve into a demonic beast anytime but this doesn't change the fact that he's still a normal beast now.

Grrrrrrrraaaaaaa

The bear swing its massive paw toward Xue, wanting to end this quick.

Xue could dodge that clumsy attack with his agile body easily but the kid behind him will have to face the brunt force.

Knowing that he wouldn't be able survive the attack, Xue didn't dodge but sprint toward the paw and sink his fangs onto it, making it change it path due to the pain.

Xue then use its paw to sprint onto the bear's face and asult its fragile eye, attempting to blind his opponent.

He sucesfully attack its right eye but before he could attack the other side, a massive paw slap him of its face.

Xue's body shot out like an arrow released from a bow and directly crash onto a tree beside the child with a clear sound of bone cracking. He broke some bones from the impact and his flesh tear from the bear's claw, dyeing his beautiful white coat with crimson red.

Jin Long's POV

*Few minute earlier*

Jin Long look skepticaly at the back of the fox entering one of the room.

He doesn't understand why the fox didn't do anything to him.

But before he could think further, a wave of dizzyness and headache hit him.

He knew he has to escape as soon as possible so he look around and notice an entrance covered in snow.

He walk to the entrance and push at the snow with his little hands, making the snow covering the entrance crumble and revealing the snow land outside.

Enduring the chilling cold, he dash out without a second thought.

Due to his dizzyness and headache, Jin Long forgot many facts he should stay for.

Like why did he wake up in a different place from where he loss he consciousness? Why the fox cure him? Why didn't it attack him and so on which show Xue's goodwill toward him.

*Present*

As he dash out of the cave, his body's condition worsen. His body is still weak even tough the poison in his body is cured and he doesn't wear a thick layer of cloth resulting the chill assulting him, making his condition worser.

His face began to flush slightly, clearly he was feverish.

He ran for a few more distace but his legs gave out due his bad condition.

He leans against a tree while panting with flushed face due to fever.

His vision start turning blurry and his head was dizzy and ringing.

He could hear a growl, look over he saw a big black bear and from its aura he know its a demonic beast.

His heart sink as he knew he couldn't even run with his current condition.

As despair began to fill him, he saw a blurry white figure zoom pass him and crash onto the bear.

Before he could saw the figure standing before him, it sprint toward the bear again.

It first bite the bear's paw then assult its eye, but before it could attack the other side, it was smack off with the bear's paw.

When the figure crash on the tree beside him, he finally saw who it was.

It has a perfect slender body, fluff around the neck with a long fluffy fox tail, its gorgeous pure white coat is now tainted with bright crimson with scarlet flower blooming from the blood spilling continuously out of it wound and its attractive phoenix eyes are shut tight.

Seeing the figure lying in the pool of blood, Jin Long's heart skip a beat then he began to feel stuffy.

His heart feels painful as if being stab.

He regret it, yes he regret leaving the cave, he regret not thinking carefully, he regret it so much but he can't turn back time.

A single drop of tear slid down from his eye.

That is the first time in his lifetime that he cried.
