Where was your friend when you needed her? Looking everywhere around you, you couldn’t find her, you had even told her specifically not to leave you alone, and not only because you hardly knew anybody else in the party, but because you knew he was here and god, you didn’t want him to get close to you.

The room was full of people and while searching for your friend you saw the most amazing costumes, one guy dressing as the mad hatter, a pretty girl as some sort of cabaret ballerina, a really handsome guy as Mario Bros, one guy that you thought you saw somewhere else was wearing an impressive policeman costume, you even saw a girl with a kitty tail and everything. Of course there were some really crappy costumes too, a girl that wanted to be a “sexy bunny” looked much more like a “trashy bunny”, there was another one with a failed attempt of a pumpkin costume and one guy dressed up as Super Man that looked down straight gross.

You were entertaining yourself with the variety of costumes when you saw him, he was walking in your direction and his eyes were looking directly at you, that fixed stare that made you weak on the knees. You tried to turn and make as if you hadn’t notice him, but it was already too late, Kim Taehyung was coming to you.

After he left Jimin Taehyung went around the theater greeting people, he played a drinking game and lost at the first round, he took more than a dozen of selfies with people that had great costumes and of course everybody complemented his own. Searching for some other awesome costume Taehyung saw one that instantly caught his eye, it was a girl dressed up as Sailor Moon, but everything looked insanely perfect, the little skirt, the two long pony tails, and high to the knee boots, it all suited her like she was destined to be one of the famous magical girls. Since when was Sailor Moon this hot?

At first Taehyung had not recognized you, between all those people moving around, dancing, drinking and playing it was kind of hard to see people’s faces from a long distance, he had to look at you for a moment to realize that is was you.

He smirked and started walking towards you, his eyes unable to part from your frame. He stood in front of you a little too close for your comfort but it wasn’t like you could run away, now you had to talk to him.

Since you started studying in the same class room the last semester you had developed a weird crush for Taehyung, and it was weird because you didn’t know how was exactly that you came to like him since you thought that the guy was a bit too scandalous for your taste; he laughed mid class obnoxiously making everybody else laugh too, sometimes even the professors went along with his games, he was popular and always greeted everybody in the university, he went to all the parties and almost every girl in campus liked him; you hated to admit to yourself that you were one of those girls. But no matter how handsome he was, you wouldn’t fall for it, you had to suppress those feelings because a guy like that could only mean trouble.

Looking up at him again you breathed in, searching for words in your head to tell him to go away, but it was easier said than done. The guy looked just like a hot rock star, tight leather pants and black combat boots, he wore a rider leather jacket with a white shirt underneath that wasn’t doing a good job covering his chest. Your eyes lingered a bit too long on his collarbones and on the silver chain that hanged from his neck. To complete the look he had styled his hair up, a thing that you thought made him look wild and a bit older, you even spotted the slightly smudged eyeliner that made him look sexier, Taehyung was pure trouble, of that you had no doubt.

-Y/N! It’s great to see you here- he had that big smile on his face you had seen so many times and that never failed to make you nervous. –I don’t see you outside college enough-

-Hello Taehyung, I think we see each other plenty-

-Do you think that? I don’t agree, college hours aren’t enough, I want to get to know you better-

He could say such things so easily, that made you frown, how was it that he could make your heart beat faster just by standing next to you saying things he probably said to every girl?

-I don’t think that’s a good idea- you answered starting to walk away, but Taehyung followed suit, now frowning slightly too.

-Why is that? -

-Because…- you began to speak trying to not bump into anyone as you walked through the mob of people and not to fall and embarrass yourself in public. –I don’t think we would get along well-

He laughed, he actually laughed at your words, it was a light sound like he was delightfully amused. –Why would you say that? On the contrary, I think you and I are pretty compatible-

And there he was again, you didn’t know why but Taehyung liked to tease you, saying things likes this, inviting you to parties, smiling at you at random times, sitting behind you in class so you could hear him tell awful jokes and sometimes whispering how pretty you were in a voice so low you thought you had imagined the whole thing. It was all teasing, everything to entertain himself while you tried to look like you weren’t faced by any of it.

-Look, I’m busy and don’t have time for this-

That wasn’t exactly a lie, but it wasn’t entirely true either. You were trying to find your friend but you were also trying to shake him off, why was he still there?

-Where are we going? If you keep walking like this we are going to step out of the main room-

-You can stay there-

He was right, you turned and walked trough a hallway, leaving all the other people behind but Taehyung was still following you. You didn’t know where you were but you guessed it was some sort of backstage of this old theater. You suddenly stopped walking making him bump into you, only his quick reflexes and strong arms stopping you from hitting the ground.

-Are you ok? -

What was happening? Why were you between Kim Taehyung’s arms? You jumped out of his grasp realizing your clumsiness had put you in an embarrassing position, literally. 

-I’m sorry-

He chuckled. –If you wanted to be alone with me this bad you could have said so-

You shook your head but blushed a little. –It’s not like that-

-Then what are we doing here? - It was a legitimate question to which you didn’t have an answer, the truth was you just started walking around and ended up here, but saying that would sound retarded.

-It isn’t like you are thinking; I was just looking for my friend…-

He laughed again. –I know-

-So why are you following me? Don’t you want to be in the party? -

Taehyung shrugged, the movement of his shoulders made you look at his collarbone again, he had a really beautiful skin tone.  –I’d rather be with you-

You didn’t understand him, even if he was just teasing this was a bit too much. It made your head dizzy and your ears hot and you didn’t want to feel like this, this idiotic feeling of falling for someone, it was overwhelming and you certainly didn’t want to feel this way for someone who wasn’t serious about it.

-Well, you can go, I will…-

But you didn’t finish what you were about to say, suddenly the lights of the strange hallway where you were went off and you stood there paralyzed.

-The power went out- you stated trying to keep calm, it was pitch dark and you couldn’t see anything beyond you nose.

Taehyung made a negative sound with his throat. –I don’t think so, the music is still sounding, can you hear it? -

He was right, the music of the main room could be heard even from this point, so what had happened? You wanted to go somewhere with light but your feet wouldn’t move.

-I…I- great, now you were stuttering like a fool. –I am…-

-Y/N, could it be that you are afraid of the dark? -

You wanted to hit him, you wanted to run but he was right again, you were terrified of darkness and now your body felt too heavy to move. –This is so embarrassing-

-It’s not, come, let’s go to the main room-

That was exactly what you wanted to do, but you couldn’t see anything, how could you walk if you couldn’t see? –I can’t-

-Of course you can, aren’t you Sailor Moon the guardian of love and justice? -

That almost made you giggle. –You watched sailor moon? -

Taehyung laughed. –Who didn’t watch Sailor Moon? -

You smiled and sighed trying to convince yourself that you could walk and not die after taking a few steps. Suddenly you felt something grazing your right hand and inevitably gasped loudly.

–I’m sorry, it’s just me Y/N, I should have asked first- he was now the one stammering and fighting with his own words. –I just… Please take my hand, I’m going to take you out of here- his voice was soft and even though you really couldn’t see his face it was obvious he was embarrassed.

You took his hand and he started walking at a medium pace so you could follow comfortably. Your hand was linked to his and it felt good, he had big hands that could cover yours entirely, now you weren’t sure if your heart was beating this fast just for your fear of darkness.

You reached the main room and effectively everything was normal there, so you didn’t really know what had happened back in that weird hallway. But you didn’t go to where all the people were, instead of that you stood on the sidelines a bit far from all the playing and dancing. Taehyung was still holding your hand and for some reason you didn’t want to let go.

-Here we are Y/N-

-Thanks- you muttered trying not to blush.

-Oh I’m sorry- Taehyung said when he realized your hands were still together, and when he let go you felt strangely disappointed.

-It’s ok-

Both of you fell quiet for a moment until he broke that silence, grabbing your hand again. –Look Y/N, I know that this is terribly sudden but I think you already know it… I like you a lot and I want to show that to you-

-Taehyung…- you didn’t know what to say, he was confessing to you but was this for real? –Do you mean that? -

-I’m very serious, and you don’t have to say anything yet, just let me be with you tonight… you can say whatever you want afterwards-

His voice was so deep and yet he sounded very sweet, you looked at the boy standing next to you wondering how a hot “rock star” with eyeliner dressed up in leather could be this cute, maybe this Kim Taehyung was so much more than what you thought. Squeezing his hand you smiled at him. –Stay with me-
