4. English class

I walked into the classroom. The teacher wasn't there yet, I was pretty relieved for that. I took a seat, the same seat from homeroom, third row against the window. I took out my book and pencil case, and waited for the teacher.

Many were whispering to there friends and pointing at me. Most likely gossiping about the incident with Ethan. I turned around to look at them. Once I turned back around, there was someone at the door, looking directly at me, and grinning. It was Ethan. Now I know what the expression: "speaking of the devil", is really about.

He started to walk towards me, slowly. Trailing behind him, was Lucas. Ethan stopped at my desk. I looked up at him:

"what do you want now? Didn't you get enough earlier? Looks like you recovered fast!" I said

He didn't reply, Ethan just stared at me. Since there was no reply, I looked back down at my book. In response, Ethan grabbed my chin, forcing me to look at him:

"I'll get what I want later." he said, still grinning

"let go of me!" I told him

All eyes in the classroom were on us...

"or what? Do you think that scared me?" he said, and laughed a little

"did you not get the message earlier!? Do you not know what leave me alone means?"

"I do, but I don't want to do that."

"whatever." I sighed

I removed his hand from my chin. He didn't protest which was surprising. I let go of his arm. And looked out of the window. He was still staring at me, but continued to the seat behind me, Lucas sat down next to him. Soon the teacher entered, presenting herself, her class and what we were going to study this year, and potential projects.

Since we were going to do many group projects in her class, the teacher, Ms. Grundy let us mingle with the class. I didn't want to. I noticed that everyone stayed far from both, Ethan and Lucas. They must have some reputation here, that's for sure.

I was deep in thought and didn't notice the guy approaching me:

"hi" he said

"geez, oh sorry, I must've zoned out" I replied

"heh, no problem, happens to everyone. I noticed you haven't mingled with anyone here, well apart from..." he looked behind me quickly but continued " well apart from them. So I thought it would a good idea to introduce myself, so hi, my name is Nathan."

I smiled at him: "I'm Emma, I think everyone knows that by know"

He nodded and chuckled: "you're not wrong"

We laughed, but got caught off by some grump behind us. I turned around and gave him the biggest death glare I ever had, but he just laughed:

"you know, you're cute when you're mad" he said with a mocking tone

"shut up" I said "hey Nathan?"

"yeah?" he asked

"can I go somewhere with you far from this doochbag, I dunno, like the other side of the classroom?" I asked

"sure, I'll introduce you to some of my friends while we're at it" he replied

"that's much apreciated" I grinned at him, and he just laughed

We headed to the other side of the room, where we talked and laughed with his friends.

~Ethan POV~

"I like her" he said to Lucas

"really?" Lucas replied shocked

"she's fun to mess around with, she's got character that's for sure" he laughed "I just want to know her weak spots, break her to pieces, and make her mine.

He stared at her from across the room, thinking...
