The Promises That We Made
Introduction
Promise 1: We never leave each other
Promise 2: When we have new friends, introduce us to them
Promise 3: No feelings shall ever break us apart
Promise 4: When we change, we change for the better
Promise 5: Never to forget your bestfriend
Promise 6: Help each other when in need
Promise 7: Never bring any playdates at home
Promise 8: Never to break any of this promises
Keeping our promises, we all thought it was simple and easy.
The promises that me and Rick made were easy to memorise, and also easy to forget
Rick was my boat and I was his captain
Without me, he couldn’t sail
Without my boat, I couldn’t sail on the sea either
Rick is a north pole and I’m the south pole
He draws and attract me to him and he never fails to have me
I am the tree and he’s my soil
I am the sun and he revolves around me
I am the solar system and he is my gravity
I am the earth and he is my moon
We thought our promises could make us more together
and clinging unto him, would be best
But I never thought of how he feels and only thought of myself
Never knew that once I let go, he’ll be happy as well
I never realized that I was somewhat his burden
I thought we were so bond together, we would never let go of each other
but as a boat, he leaves with a new captain
And me as a captain, is searching for a new boat
