Horrible Grave Stories

...Ghost Story 4...

There have been many incidents of burying Ga Shiurano alive, knowingly or unknowingly. There was a time when someone was buried in a coffin as punishment but it was not always the punishment for being buried alive; Sometimes forgotten people were considered dead and buried.

As a result of such burials, most of the time the living person dies under the ground or suffocates due to lack of food. Fearing that he would be buried alive before his death, George Washington swore to his servants on his deathbed that he should not be buried 12 days after his death. There are also examples of many patients being sent to the morgue in the 1890s thinking they were dead.

Virginia MacDonald died in 1851 after a long illness. But after burying him, the mother began to think that her daughter was still alive. After Virginia's coffin was picked up, it was found that the 'dead' Virginia's hands were bruised. The type of scratch on the coffin suggests how hard she tried to get out of the coffin.

After being declared 'dead' in 1896, Madame Blonden was buried under a school but when the school children complained of hearing noises from under the ground, the coffin was lifted again. According to eyewitnesses, Blonden was in his last moments of life when he breathed his last.

In 1896, a report in The Daily Telegraph told the story of an unknown man buried in Grenoble. After the man was pronounced dead, while his coffin was being laid on the ground, a sudden murmur and groaning was heard from inside. But by the time the coffin was opened and he was brought out, he was out of breath. A similar incident was reported in 1836 in The Sunday Times.

According to a report in the New York Times last year, a young girl named Collins was buried after she died suddenly. But after opening his coffin again, it was seen that the expression on his hands, feet and face was very unusual, which proves that he was buried alive.

In 1897 the British Medical Journal spoke of a woman who was buried after being pronounced dead. A few days later, when another body was dug for burial, it was seen that his body was very crooked. Such was the case with Miss Hawkwalt in 1848.

In 1819, 18-year-old Marie Norah Best was pronounced dead. It is thought, however, that he was hastily buried because his death would benefit many. Mary's skeleton was found sitting in the coffin in 1820.

In 1901, Madame Bobin contracted yellow fever. She was pregnant at the time. When he was buried after being pronounced dead, his nurse felt as if his body was hot and his muscles were not very strong. Later, a heartbreaking scene was seen when his coffin was opened. She gave birth to a baby there and they both died of suffocation.
