A team of 20 sword owners??and rest??

yomi and I slide into our armoured leather training kimono, we grabbed a cookie each lying thrown of the ground.Munching we raced down skipping 2 steps at a time, standing on the gates of the 'females only dorm' yomi glances up the stairs and back , impatiently waiting for shinouko to be seen.

''yeah, there! SHINOUKO'' yomi approaches shinouko. we recieve her and walk along to where the assembly of the participants were called, all I see in front of are hundreds of trainees, already established teams of executers and also some who I had never seen before.

we wait for a while until the sky-reached entrygates were slammed shut. I shall assume everyone participated had gathered. neither of us knew any details,but for a fact we knew that all of us will have to compete against eachother.

''shen-chai academy is honoured to holds this century's spirit sword event. we shall now provide you with the details; batch of 20 applicants shall offer their souls at once by taking dive in Lake waters said to be possessed by 20 demons slayed in the waters.these demons are none like any other; light, thunder, fire, metal, soil, sand ,water, air, sky, cloud, wood, heat, speed, life, death, electricity, gravity, magnetism and photosynthesis; such power possessing demons only shall guide one if your soul is capable to handle it's challenges.

But, once you are in the water, the demons will have all the control over your soul, thus can also decide to take your soul away! you are allowed to leave before the event begins. the rest details about the demons will be known to those who are chosen. you will be the one to figure out how to work with it''

as the voice stopped, the crowd engaged into a hullabaloo. Even yomi , shinouko and I were nervous if we will get a chance or will we even come back alive...

''we will be one of the 20 demon sword owners, don't you trust your judgment of your strength?'' I said trying to encourage us to not give up.

''yes, let's stay strong both mentally and physically and prove the demons that we are worth their power!'' shinouko clenches he fists and exclaims. yomi takes a while but he too now has a spark in his eye.

we turn back to see how much of the crowd stays, nearly a quarter were gone!

this really is a good chance that we can get one of those demons.....

''whoa, I wish to achieve the speed! I'm sure it will be cool'' smiles yomi , ''l'd like the thunder'' shinouko with admiration in her words says.

I think for a while when yomi and shinouko stare at my face, ''um- photosynthesis, maybe''

they don't have a comment, perhaps they too don't know what it meant for....

''everyone deciding to participate, we shall get the first 20 in the line to now strip and get prepared''...........
