I think we got a lead

Soon all the teams came up with long lists and heavy files with criminals and their data which made me realise how much crime is happening in our city, how bad are the people in this world.

Every team selected five worst of them all. Worst as in the ones with the highest crime records, the ones people know the most about. But whom would he go to?

Staff seamed less, criminals were more.

I further divided the teams to search for the criminals and catch them before he does.

5 of the criminals who were on top of the notorious list were found and were carefully observed. Every thing was according to my plan.

Now I just had to wait till he comes to kill one of them.

While I was thinking I was so close to catch him, another murder was reported with his signature sign.

I failed.

I was defeated and I felt terrible.

On investigation of the murdered person I found, he wasn't even in the list we got prepared.

He was a man who held a teenage captive since 2 days. The kid was rescued by whom everybody believes is Zee himself.

What a hero, right?

He left no mark. No trace of him except the signature.

The man lived in a tiny building with 6 flats.

The security guard didn't see anyone. The neighbours didn't see anyone. Does everyone turn blind or is he some teleporter?

Look, I'm very happy for the girl who was rescued but I need to find this man! The news reporters are telecasting this girl and her family live on news channels and the police is no where in the scene.

The entire world knows about this and we're here in the crime scene like some rats digging up some left overs.

'It's okay', I explained myself.

The baseline is the girl is safe, with her parents and the culprit is killed.

I should not be demotivated rather drop my plan and make up a new one.

The question here is,

The neighbours said they didn't know he was such a man. He was a quiet person who would never get into anyone else's business. No body saw the girl coming in except the security guard who said, he thought, was his daughter.

So how did Zee come to know about this man?

How did he know his exact location and that he was the one who took the girl?

The girl and her family would answer my questions but apparently they didn't want to talk to the police today and went home straight away saying they would co-operate tomorrow and we have to respect that because there's so much emotional trauma on the girl and her family.

I put those men we had caught in jail and called the girl and her mother in the office the next day.

She was 12 years old, Sarah.

I asked her if she saw Zee's face, she denied saying she was unconscious the time he killed the man and saved her.

one moment she was at the man's place the other moment outside with her mother.

She didn't know who saved her at all until she heard from others that it was him.

I called her parents into the room next and asked how did they find her?

did they see anything at all?

why did they not report their missing daughter's complaint?

They said they came from a city very far away from here.They did file a complain in the nearby police station but no action was taken until they got a phone call at 4am in the morning saying their daughter was lying in 'Le rose apartment' flat 302.

The worried parents searched the apartment's location and reached there immediately finding the door open and their girl lying unconscious and beside her was the dead man on the floor. No one was there it was only when they rushed down to wake up the sleeping guard and telling them about the dead body of the kidnapper when the people got to know.

"Phone call?" I asked

"search for the number and track it's location" I ordered to a staff member.This could be a great lead to our investigation.
