Christmas Disaster

In the year 2020...December 25, at exactly 6 o'clock at night time everything seemed to have changed for the worse...

Earlier morning at 8 a.m the world is bustling with excitement...many people have started to go either shopping or window shopping... families started to exchange Christmas presents...but this is only the prelude of the story.

In the back alley at Christmas time...a young twin a boy and a girl...wearing ragged clothes and only a thin blanket to hide from the cold..their characteristics were oddly different they have black hair but a silver one hanging around at their foreheads...

A small conversation started between the two youth.

"Hey Rina...here have some of my bread..."

The older brother wants to share his loaf of bread to her younger sister but...

"Don't worry brother I'm not that hungry yet..."

The younger sister replied with a smile on her face but nothing escapes from her brother.

"Rina I know your already having a fever from this cold weather...so please won't you take this loaf of bread?...so that I can rest my mind at ease..."

"Brother but--"

The younger sister's words were cut short by her brother's interference.

"Shhh... don't worry too much about me... I'm more worried about your health rather than my own..."

A cold breeze came by.

"Achoo!"

"Rina... don't worry big bro will find a way to find you some nice and warm soup to cure you of your fever."

Rina just slightly nodded to her brother.

Around 12 p.m Zen have started to find some warm soup for her younger sibling.

'Why is it so hard to get a warm food in this day...'

No matter where he goes people always shoo him away for disturbing their customers or business, till he went at the back of a restaurant, while Zen was trying to cook up something in the trash bins at the back of the chef's restaurant.

"Hey kid--"

The chef went to a halt at his words... because he have seen this young boy at a nearby alley with a young girl in tow.

'Hmm?'

Zen came to a halt of what he is doing and started paying attention to the chef.

"Yes?"

As the chef was staring at the boy, the boy answered with a question.

'This kid...is so pitiful...'

The chef muddled through his head.

'Sigh...'

He then let out a quiet sigh, and eventually came back inside his restaurant.

'?...'

Zen continued to what he was doing earlier when the chef left...but to his surprise he came back and is holding something that smells nice.

"Here kid take this"

Zen came closer to the chef and took the plastic shape like box container from his hand.

He then opened it to see what the delicious smell was.

"Sniff...Sniff"

The chef chuckled a bit seeing how Zen was sniffing the food he gave.

"Wow~"

"Are you sure about giving this to me sir?"

The innocent look from the boy warmed the chef's heart...

"Yes, take it and go kid"

The chef brightly smiled as he spoke these words.

"Bye...Bye...and thank you kind sir"

Zen turned to face the chef's gaze and returned him a bright smile.

After going back to the alley... something seems to be amiss from the surrounding.

The clock he passed by seems to have went to 5:30 p.m even without him noticing... time seems to have gone faster by At least 4 hours...
