Chapter 1

The Government always controlled the world. Although people opposed, there wasnt much they could do.

Everyone knew that they would always be controlled by the Government.

It was the year 3000, and scientists were working on a new chemical gas, that could give humans the ability to have supernatural powers.

Without warnings or confirmation from the scientists, the Government released the gas into the air.

That was their biggest mistake.

It only took a month for everyone to get affected, and when civilians started finding out these newfound powers, they trained.

A year went by, and the most powerful 7 power holders were ready. They took down the Government with the new profound powers, and took control of the world.

"After the Government was no more, 7 new leaders came into play, each one controlling a continent. Well, more known as a Nation.

Each Nation had a different power they were assigned to.

North America, the ability to control the 5 nature elements.

South America, the ability to phase through solids.

Asia, the ability to draw things to life.

Africa, the ability to talk and interact with the dead.

Antarctica, the ability of healing.

Australia, the ability to shape shift.

Europe, the ability of super strength.

Then there is me. I'm from North America, and I'm the only person on Earth without a special power...."

Monday, May 1st 3035

BAM!

"Agh! ... What the hell was that sound?!?!"

Startled, Noah sat up on his bed.

Grumbling to himself, he rubbed his eyes and looked around, trying to find what had made the loud sound.

Looking around the room, his eyes landed on broken glass. That was my favourite vase too.... He thought disappointed.

Getting out of his bed, it made a loud creak, making Noah cringe. Walking over to his window, he looked to where the vase used to be, then looked down.

Sighing, Noah nealed and grabbed a large piece of glass, and stared at his reflection. His dark brown hair was messy, and his red eyes were dull.

"Why was I born different...."

Dropping the piece of glass harshly onto the ground, Noah stood up and ran his fingers through his hair.

I should probably get ready for school...

Walking over to his closet, Noah grabbed his navy blue uniform and layed it on his bed.

Walking over to his connected bathroom, he quickly took a shower and brushed his teeth.

Taking off his night clothes, he folded them and put them on his bed.

"Why do I have to wear this ugly uniform... Ugh..."

Zipping up his pants, and butting up his shirt, Noah looked in his mirror. Closing his eyes and taking a deep breath, he walked out his room.

I'll just eat an apple on the way to school... Taking an apple from the kitchen counter, he walked to the front door and put his shoes on.

Grabbing his bag and his keys, he unlocked the door, stepped outside, and then locked the door again.

Noah didn't live that far from the high school he was going to. It only took around 5 minutes to get there from foot, but those 5 minutes were torture for Noah. Everyone would stare and whisper about him.

"Look, it's the one that doesn't have a power like the rest of us!"

"Y'know, they call him a demon cause of his eyes.."

"You should never talk to that boy."

"Why dad?"

"He is weak, and you don't need to be around weak people."

With a scowl on his face, Noah hung his head low, not wanting to make eye contact with anyone.

"I've lost my appetite." Noah growled, while throwing the half eaten apple into a random person's trash can.

Walking up to his school, he heard the bell go off, signaling he was late.

Mr. Harris is going to yell at me again...

Walking into the school, Noah quickly rushed to his classroom, and opened the door.

"You're late again Mr. Andrews."

Mr. Harris glared at the boy while talking in a rough tone.

"Yea, I know. I'm sorry."

Noah sighed and rolled his eyes, making sure that his teacher didn't notice.

"Go sit down. Now!" Mr. Harris yelled.

Go SiT DoWn. nOw!! Noah mocked in his thoughts, slightly snickering.

Sitting down at the last desk by the window, he stared outside while trying to listen to his teacher.

"As you all know, there is around 2 months of school left. You will have to figure out which school you will go to, to train your powers. Although, I'm guessing you will all try to get into Oak Academy."

You may be wondering, what is Oak Academy..? Oak Academy is the top school for teenagers all around the world to train their powers, and one day, maybe replace one of the 7. Oak Academy has the best teachers and trainers, and even one of the 7 go to help teach sometimes.

Although it seems like SO much fun, I'm just staying here. No point in going to a school that is made for powers when you dont even have any....

"Mr. Andrew's, what is number 5?"

Looking towards his teacher with a puzzled face, he looked at the board beside him.

Damn it, I wasnt paying attention...

"Mr Andrew's...?" Mr. Harris called out again.

"I...I don't know..." Noah looked down at his desk shamefully.

Laughter rang out through the class room, and Noah hid his face between his arms.

"Noah, you are the only one without a power. At least try and get a good education..." Mr. Harris shook his head, and went back to teaching.

Noah on the other hand, was holding in his tears.

I can't cry... Not here....

A few tears left his eyes, but he quickly wiped them away and started to do his work properly this time.

~Ring Ring Ring~

The bell rang, and everyone got out of their seats and left the school. Noah got up slowly while sighing. Grabbing his bag, he left the school and started walking home.

Again, the whispers started. This time, Noah covered his ears with his hands, not wanting to hear what they had to say.

Who cares what they say anyways... It's not like they are anything special. They are just like the rest of the world....

"Wha- Hey!" Noah yelled

While Noah wasn't paying attention, he was dragged into an alleyway.

"W...Who are you!?" Noah yelled at the seemingly old man infront of him.

"Young man, I will not tell you who I am, but please, take this and follow the instructions inside when you get home... Goodbye now"

Without having a chance to say anything back, the old man disappeared, almost like he wasn't even there in the first place.

Looking down at his hands, was placed a medium sized box.

Not wanting to stay any longer in that dark alleyway, Noah sprinted the rest of the way home.

Noah quickly unlocked his door and ran inside, forgetting to lock it.

Opening his bedroom door, he quickly got dressed into comfy clothes and sat down on his bed.

I know this is a box... But what's inside...?

Noah hesitantly opened the box, and inside was a piece of paper.

Noah reached inside to pull it out, when he suddenly cut his finger on the side. He quickly pulled away while wincing and looked at the small cut that was starting to bleed.

He quickly got off his bed and walked to the washroom to get bandaid, when he suddenly felt dizzy.

His vision started getting blurry, and he couldn't stand up properly.

"W...What's ha...happening...."

Noah fainted.

"Ugh.... My head...."

Noah opened his eyes, and realized he was laying on his bathroom floor.

"What the hell happened to me...?" Noah thought with a puzzled face.

Then, Noah heard a voice.

"You have been selected for test #99. You will be given all powers from all nations. Please do not panic."

Confused where the voice was coming from, Noah looked around the room, only to find nothing.

What did that voice mean when it said that I had all the nations powers...?

Well, even if it is just my imagination, at least I can try and use the 5 elements...
