Trouble

The trio entered the town late that day and decided to find lodgings as soon as they entered , being eager for a warm bed . The fridged air was hard to bare, not to mention the overall dead weight one member had become. After the battle with the Yallis, Yokujo had become moody for some reason.

"Now that we have reached a town, you two guys are free to go." Kaen said.

Karmic lifted his head slightly, his fine whitish-golden fur swaying gently. Yokujo was at his side holding onto a tuft of his fur.

*Why is she so troubled nowadays? She is undergoing another change perhaps*......

He looked around....

*Maybe we all are*.

Kaen stopped in front of a mages' shop.

"I will check this place out....catch up to you guys in a bit, ok?"

She entered the tiny place and was greated by a pheasant. He looked at her with a arrogant glare before pecking her shoe.

"Hoy there lassy! What can i do ya for? "

Turning around she saw an old man behind the counter. He had a thin but long mustache and monocle and a large hat on his head, a daisy stuck in it rather haphazardly. "See here!? We've got blood root and diamond to cure the blood, garlic and crucifix to ward off vampires, amethyst, ogre nails, unicorn horns, and we even got a nice shipment of wolfsbane just yesterday."

"Wolfsbane,you say?" Kaen asked walking up closer to the counter.

*I need some wolfsbane for a certain spell.....but its harmful to Yokujo*.

"Do yall have any monkshood?" she queried .

" Nah classy, none in the area a'tall"

"Oh I see,"

Kaen pondered for a minute .

*I need that wolfsbane. Perhaps if I am careful, Yokujo wont notice*.

"I'll take some sir."

As darkness set in and the others slept, Yokujo slipped into out into the night. Originally, she just wanted to be alone, but a turn of events changed her mind.

She shifted into her wolf and ran on all fours, her silver fur shinning in the moonlight. The woods surrounding the town were thick and dense and the night was unusually quiet. Yokujo sensed it.She slowed her pace as she neared a creek, setting her paws in the soft mud along its banks.But one sniff later and her ears were erect. A low growl escaped her bared fangs. In the distance across the creek, a lone figure stood still, watching.

One sniff......danger

two sniffs..........vampire.

The figure slowly emerged from the darkness, revealing a piercing set of golden glowing eyes. It appeared to be a woman. Yokujo began snarling. Vampires were mortal enemies of werewolves, and even though Yokujo was technically half vampire, she was raised mainly relying on herwolf side...before she was declared demonized and abandoned. Seeing the vampire's eyes had a freezing effect, causing Yokujo to stop and be quiet. Realizing this, Yokujo slowly shifted back to human form....all the while her eyes were locked on the golden ones before her. The vampire was steadily getting closer.

After shifting, Yokujo was barely able to move . All she could do was watch as this clearly very powerful vampire approached. The rising frustration she felt caused her hair to grow long again. Biting her lip hard, Yokujo cursed under her breath.

The vampire was now almost across the stream, approaching agonizingly slow.

*If she comes near me I will kill her!! I swear I will tear her to pieces and* --

***Hello there little wolf***.

Yokujo almost jumped in surprise .She was face to face with a vampire. Literally there was not even a full arms distance between them. A strange invisible force caused her to fall to her knees.

"That's better.....you should always kneel before a Queen." the vampire spoke. "Now look up ."

Literally unable to control the movement of her own body..( the vampire had the power to paralyze temporarily \[or until she released her victim\] by just looking them in the eye. As long as she looked them in the eye, she had complete control over them.) ....Yokujo looked up .

The vampire was very beautiful, with long ebony hair and a alluring and dangerous charm. Yokujo was amazed. Holding Yokujo's chin up, the vampire turned Yokujo's head like one would examine a dog. "Huum"

Causing Yokujo to stand, she felt her arms, legs and even examined her waist....of course this mad Yokujo mad and embarrassed. The vampire however, was examining with the bleak concern one would give while examining a horse. Being heartless as she was, the vampire really didn't care.

But what she did next absolutely shocked Yokujo.

Putting her hand on Yokujo's cheek, she *kissed* her!

Pausing after that, the vampire backed up slightly, releasing Yokujo from her disabling gaze (Yokujo just stood there stupidly), the vampire spoke..."You are a perfect candidate ."

Stepping closer once more, *Yokujo* bridged the gap between them, her hand on the vampire's waist....

I will stop there and not say anything more about what happened.

The next day, Yokujo did not return. Even though Kaen and Karmic looked everywhere for her, they did didn't find her. No one knew what had happened to her... ....and perhaps they never would. Before long, years had passed..
