"Partner!!! Back me up, I'm dying!!!"

I screamed as I rapidly pressed my keyboard and violently moved my mouse.

"Oh no!!! I'm gonna die I'm gonna die!!!"

"Aw man......." I let out a long sigh of disappointment.

"X why didn't you back me up! Tanks like you are suppose to be shielding marksmen!" I said to him while pressing the mic closer to my mouth with an agitated tone.

There was silence for about 5 seconds until I heard shuffling and breathing from the other line.

"Hello? X you still there?" I asked curiously.

"You better not go AFK on me or else I'm gonna-" I was stopped by his odd chuckles from the other line.

"Calm Down Eric, you sound like my mom"

X said while chuckling in his monotone yet relaxing voice.

"I do not!!!" I screamed loudly at the mic attached to my headphones, as my cheeks turn red from embarrassment.

X gave out a hiss" woah, calm down partner your damaging my ears"

I let out a small 'tut' of agitation.

"X, where were you? The enemy already has 23 kills! Its 4 more than ours!"

X let out an adorable 'oops' from the other line.

I swear to God! X may have a low Godzilla voice but sometimes he just acts like a middleschool girl talking to her senpai.

"Sorry Eric, I had a little problem with the signal" X said in his deep and apologetic voice.

I was confused, what does he mean low signal? Isn't he supposed to be living in a high building in the city with expensive equipment?

Wifi Signal shouldn't be a problem for him.

"Oh! Eric you already resurrected"

X said in his monotone yet excitable voice.

I pulled my head out of the clouds and didn't think much of it and instead concentrated on the game.

"X, we'll go to the bottom lane and destroy their turrets, you will be my shield, got that?" I said firmly to him.

"Seems a little unfair but ok" he said jokingly on the other line.

DEFEAT

"Damn it......" I said disappointingly while rubbing my dark brown colored hair irritatingly.

"We were so close!!!" I shouted at the mic as I lay my back on my wooden chair.

"Cheer up Eric, theres always a next time"

I let out a sigh, I was feeling distraught.

"Seems like we'll be losing a star" I said to him not trying to hide my sorrow.

To be honest I dont really know why I'm addicted to these types of games, I mean, they're fun and exciting but it gets confusing and frustrating most of the time.

"Dont worry partner, your hubby X will virtually cuddle you so you wont be moping any longer" he said in a joking manner that didn't really match his serious and intimidating voice.

I gave him a small giggle and he giggled back happily.

Jesus, this guy must have some issues or something, but it was something that I admired about him.

He talks like a child but sounds like a friggin mob boss.

"Hey X" I called out to him.

"Yeah? What is it partner?"he said to me softly on the other line.

"Could you do a face reveal to me? We've been playing online games together for about 2 months now, I want to see how a rich and powerful, Childe, gamer boy looks like" I said to him rather jokingly and adding a small chuckle in the end.

There was slight quietness for about a few seconds until X finally spoke up.

"Sorry Eric but I dont really like people to see my face" he said Rather disappointingly.

"Oh......."

I was kinda disappointed, I've been requesting him to do a face reveal to me many times before but he rejected them all, but I guess I'll just have to respect his privacy then.

"but could you atleast tell me your real name?" I added shortly.

"You already know mine so it's fair that I get to know yours too" I asked him willingly hoping for a positive response.

"Eric.....we talked about this, I-"

"I know I know" I interrupted him shortly.

"I'm sorry, I just want to get to know you that's all" I answered softly, my voice filled with shame and disappointment.

X didn't answer for a while but I could hear his breath hitching from the other line.

"Oh! By the way......I want to tell you something" I said casually, trying to break the silence between us.

"My family will be moving to my grandparent's house in the country side 3 days from now"

"Oh, really? Why though" X asked me, his voice clearly filled with curiosity and anticipation.

"My mom recently got a job abroad and she's planning to go overseas and since my siblings and I have no other grownups to take care of us here, my mom decided that we will stay with our grandparents for a few years or so...."

"Well......that seems like a good idea" X said with a satisfied and monotoned voice.

"But theres only one problem......" I added shortly.

" they have crappy signal there! I wont be able to play games properly!" I let out a whiny little 'hmph' and X suddenly laughed, his low voice awkwardly reaching the high pitches.

"Oh my God!, Eric your so fucking cute!"

He said loudly as he continued to laugh his *** off.

Cute?

Did another guy just call me cute????

What the hell???

I just sat there awkwardly at my seat my cheeks burning red from embarrassment as X continued to laugh at the other end of the call.

"S-stop that" I said calmly trying my best to compose myself and try not to yell at him.

"Hahaha okay okay okay I'll stop" X said in surrender.

"By the way Eric......which small town will you and your family move into?"

"Were moving to Matina,Davao" i said casually.

X suddenly went quiet.

"Matina? As in Matina in Davao???" He asked in an agitated tone.
