I can't lose my son!

The person who called Mr.Conor was Keith. Keith was unsettled even after tracking Damon's location. The words " I heard a gunshot" kept bothering Keith.

Keith was bugged by those words and he decided on hacking the bank's CCTV cameras, but what he saw on his screen was a blank black image. All the CCTV cameras were shut!

Keith got suspicious. He tried calling the bank but no one picked the call. He got more and more anxious. Then he decided to hack the phones of people who were present in the bank. Keith was a professional in this field and it didn't take him much time to do all of these! It was just a few minutes and that's all he needed!

What he saw on his screen widened his eyes. He couldn't believe what his eyes saw. He reached out for his phone to call Mr.Conor. He called him and said " Uncle! Damon is in trouble! You were right. We have to inform the police about this."

Mr.Conor couldn't believe what he just heard on the phone. His nightmare came true. His steps became unsteady, he lost his balance and went sliding down on the floor. He brought himself back to reality and asked Keith in a distressed voice " Keith! What is it? What happened to my Damon? Where is he right now?"

Keith replied "Uncle I wanted to be sure so I hacked into the bank's CCTV, but they were all shut. How can all the CCTVs shut at the same time? I got suspicious and wanted to be sure so I called the bank but no one answered. Then, I decided to hack the phones of the people present in the bank and what I saw was startling. Some men with guns were moving around the place and people were held, hostage!"

As he heard the word "gun", he was taken aback and said, " We have to hurry. Damon is scared of guns. We need to get him out of there. I can't lose my son. I am leaving for the bank. I heard a gunshot, which means someone was injured! You call 911."

" But uncle it's raining heavily. All the roads are blocked. How will you go there?", Keith asked.

Mr.Conor replied, " I can't lose my son because I was waiting for the roads to clear. Just do what I told you to do!" and hung the phone.

Keith immediately called 911 and also informed all his friends about Damon's situation. They all agreed to meet near the bank.

Mr.Conor started driving. It was a 10-minute drive to the bank, but each minute was hard to pass by. He called his friends to the police and explained to them the whole situation. There was water everywhere on the streets, and the roads were blocked. It was nearly impossible for the car to pass through the blocked roads. So he left his car and started running in the rain like a madman. People watched him and thought "What a crazy fellow!"

Tears rolled down his cheeks and he murmured, "Son! Don't you worry. I will get you out of there. You have to be safe for me. Don't leave me, son! Please!".

He had flashbacks of when Damon and his elder brother, Patrick were young and playing with his gun. Damon's father, Mr. Conor worked in the police force.

"Damon! Look it's Dad's gun. Let's play! Dad is sleeping. He won't know we touched his gun." Patrick said in excitement.

"You be the thief and I will be the Police like Dad," said Patrick. Damon flatly denied Patrick's request. He said " No! I want to be a police officer. I don't want to be a thief." Patrick said, " You were the officer last time. Now it's my turn to be the officer. Catch me "

Damon had no choice but to comply with his brother's wish. Mr.Conor's gun was a bit too heavy for Damon to handle, so he went inside and brought his toy gun which looked precisely like Mr. Conor's gun. Mr.Conor got a toy gun customized because his sons were always after his gun, so he got them one on that day (Damon's birthday).

They started playing and Damon got tired.

" I don't want to play anymore. I am tired." Damon whined and threw his gun on the sofa right beside Mr. Conor's gun. Patrick came running and confused Mr. Conor's gun as the fake one and pointed it at Damon.

" Damon, I caught you! Since you couldn't hide from me, you have to die! " Patrick smirked and pulled the trigger of the gun. A gunshot was heard, followed by a scream.

Mr. Conor and his wife were sleeping peacefully in their room when they heard the gunshot and then the scream. They ran outside to see what had happened. What they saw was a total nightmare.
