Something is wrong

Damon's father, Mr.Conor panicked when he heard the gunshot (bang)! He started shouting on the phone "Damon!!! Damon!!! Are you alright? What was that sound? Where are you? Answer me, Damon! Hello?? Hello?? Damon?" There was no reply from the other side. The connection was lost.

He was scared and didn't know what to do. His eyes were filled with fear of losing his son. He had already lost one son, and couldn't afford to lose another one. How would he be able to live his life if something happened to him? So he tried calling again and again, but every time he called the call wouldn't connect.

He then tried calling Damon's friends. Damon didn't have many friends, they were as many as the fingers of his hand. But his friends didn't know his whereabouts. He was devastated and had lost all his senses when his friends didn't know about his whereabouts. Then Damon's father gave one last call to Damon's best friend, Keith, hoping he would know something about Damon, and started mumbling words that made no sense. Keith couldn't understand a word of what he said.

Keith asked " Uncle! Are you alright? What happened? Where are you? Are you stuck somewhere? Should I call Damon? Hello?? Hello?? Uncle!! Are you there? Hello?"

Mr.Conor finally replied with heaviness in his voice " Something happened to Damon. He was going to come to visit me, and we were supposed to visit his brother's grave. Damon did not turn up. He is not home yet! Did he tell you where he was going? I can't seem to get through his phone. Did he call you?". He was on the verge of crying. He was scared for his son. Damon was the only family he had left, and he loved his son unconditionally.

Keith replied, " Calm down Uncle. Drink some water. It's raining hard he might have got stuck somewhere. He will come when the rain slows down."

Mr.Conor replied " No! No! No! Something is not right. Damon called me and when I received the call, all I heard was a gunshot! I don't know what to do. Damon did not respond after that, and the phone disconnected. I tried calling him, but the phone wouldn't connect. I am scared!"

After listening to him, Keith got worried about Damon. Keith was a professional hacker. Although he was born in a rich family of businessmen, he wasn't interested in his family business. He was one of the finest hackers that the cybercops could have.

Keith said in a firm voice " Uncle don't worry. I will track his phone location and let you know. Could you hold on for a few seconds?"

Mr.Conor replied "Yeah sure."

Keith had amazing hacking skills. He tracked Damon's location in just 15 secs. He saw the location on his screen and whispered: "INTERNATIONAL BANK ! "

"I didn't get you, Keith. What did you say?" Mr.Conor asked from the other side of the phone. Keith replied, "Uncle, Damon is in the bank."

"In the bank?, but I certainly heard the gunshot." Mr. Conor thought and after a while, his eyes grew wide and he mumbled " Could it be......" before completing the sentence he hurried and switched to the news section on his phone to see if there was any news of robbery or hostage situation.

He couldn't find any articles regarding INTERNATIONAL BANK. He heaved a sigh of relief and thought "Maybe I am just overthinking." He did not know that there was no news because the people couldn't contact the police.

Keith on the other side on not receiving any response from Mr.Conor asked " Hello? Uncle are you there? ". Mr.Conor replied, "Yes I am here. Thank you for your help son."

"No worries uncle. Let me know when Damon comes home.", Keith said to which Mr.Conor replied, "Sure." and ended the call.

Even though he saw that there was no news of any horrible thing happening at the bank, he was still not convinced and thought there was something that wasn't right. He certainly heard the gunshot! There was no way that everything was as simple as it appeared.

He pondered over for 15 minutes and then decided it's best that he goes to the bank and get Damon back. He then took his car keys and started walking towards his car. He was about to put his keys in the car door when he got a call on his phone. He answered the call, and his eyes widened when he heard the person on the call.
