My sour strips

When i finally freed myself away from my clingy parents, I ran straight to my room and locked it.

I excitedly opened the colored plastic from Link and the pencil case from Betty.

The stars dropped in my eyes as it twinkle when I saw my sour strips!

I put a strip on my mouth and it became watery upon hitting my sour taste buds then a bit of sweet from sugar coating on it.

Ah, this is heaven. I thank my parents for giving me a brother named Link and I thank God for creating sour strips.

I'm at my happiest now. I put another one in my mouth. Then I remembered, I should call Link.

I went out and knocked on Link's room. Link opened the door and I pulled him into my room and closed it again.

I took another strip and divided it into two and put one in my mouth and the other to Link. See how silent he is? He didn't even asked or protest. He didn't even like sour things. I can see it as his face become distorted when I forcefully put the half strip in his mouth.

I looked at him mischievously and asked,"Good, isn't it?" He stared at me and nodded.

"Hmp, liar. I can see in your face you didn't like it."

"Well, it is too sour."

I jumped up and happily hugged Link and said, "I am so happy Link! Thank you for the candies!"

The door suddenly opened and to my horror I saw the faces I don't want to see the most right now...

"I told you she will receive that sour strip candies from Betty!", Edward proudly say.

"Why you call Link and did not call me?", Evan asked sadly.

I want to cry but since I love them then I will share my favorite candies to them feeling aggrieved. "Here, take some. I was just about to call you. Don't tell Eldest brother."

Edward and Evan happily took it and took a handful of it in their mouth. I looked at it with heartache. I was eating it slowly to save for few days but looking at them it will be finished soon.

Edward took another handful again and I panicked. I snatched it back and shouted, "Enough. don't eat everything! Remember not to tell Eldest brother!"

"What not to tell me Eunice?"

No. No. No. My heart stopped and slowly looked at the door. My eldest brother looking in my hands.

"I'm looking for Edward." He looks to Edward and added, "show me your math quiz."

Edward looks so sad and walks slowly out of the door to his room. He thought Ethan has forgotten. Ethan is so strict, he thought to himself. He is stricter than their father. Then, his lonely back disappeared in Eunice room.

Ethan stared at him and then looked at me again and said, "Its your birthday so I will let it pass. Remember to brush your teeth thoroughly and floss."

"Yes brother!" And I happily jumped and hug him and added, "you are the best!"
