Episode 7

About an hour later there is a knock on the door. Mel opens it and Alex is stood there in a pair of pale blue shorts and a white t-shirt, looking sexy. He says "Are you ready?" Mel nods and then locks the door as Kevin has already gone then gets in the car. When they get to the beach, Alex reaches for Mel's hand and they walk along the beach close to the sea while talking. After a while they sit on the sand a little way from the water but not too far. Alex is sitting close to her but facing her and as the gentle breeze blows a few strands of hair into Mel's face, he gently brushes it away. He is quiet for a minute then says "When do you have to go back home to UK?" Mel shrugs her shoulders and says "There is no set date. I have no one at home waiting for me to come back so really it's when I feel like going home." Alex curiously asks "What about your family? Aren't they waiting for you?" "I don't have any family, my father walked out on us when I was little and my mum is not here anymore, she has been gone for 3 years now so Kevin and his family became my only family" she explains. Alex says that he is sorry and Mel just gives him a little smile.

Mel becomes quiet for a minute or two before saying "But I don't want to go home. I missed Kevin so much when I was at home. He is like the brother I never had and it's hard sometimes just being able to talk to him on the phone or video call and not being able to spend time with him when I want, like when we were growing up." She looks at Alex and he is looking down at the sand, sliding his hand through the sand. She puts her hand on his making his hand stop moving then she says "And then there is you." He looks up at her face and she shyly continues "I liked spending time with you last night and I like spending time with you now. You know I like you, I like you a lot so you are also a reason that makes me not want to go home." Alex doesn't say anything he just brings his head to hers and kisses her. After the kiss he then says "I like you a lot too and I want you to stay here and be mine. Will you be mine?" Mel nods and throws her arms around him in a big hug making them both lose their balance and end up laying on the sand laughing. Alex rolls her onto her back and he is leaning over her. As he looks into her eyes all laughter stops and he gives her a sexy look. Mel lifts her head up slightly to meet his lips.

They spend the whole day together and have fun as a new couple. They walk holding hands and sometimes Alex stops to give her kisses, not caring who sees them. They walk around some shops when they leave the beach and buy a few things. Amongst the things they buy is a necklace that Alex buys her and a ring that Mel buys him that he liked. When Alex takes Mel home much later they get out of the car and he leans against the car pulling her into his arms against his body. They are not going to see each other tonight as Alex had already made plans with Matt and Luke before he even met her. They stand there kissing for a while before Mel tells him if he doesn't go now then he will be late for meeting Matt and Luke. Alex nods and gets in the car but before he drives away Mel leans her head into the window and gives him another kiss. She watches him drive away then heads into the house.

The house is in darkness and very quiet meaning Kevin is not there. Mel walks into the kitchen and makes herself some popcorn, grabs a can of coke from the fridge then heads into the living room, turning a movie on and sits on the sofa. About half way through the movie, Kevin comes in and sits next to her taking a handful of popcorn. Mel says "How come you are home early?" He says "Anna is having a girl's night with her friends tonight. What about you?" Mel says "Alex had already made plans with Matt and Luke." They sit and watch the movie then after a few minutes Kevin sits with his body turned around to face Mel with his legs criss cross and says "So how did your day go?" Mel puts the popcorn down and sits in the same position as Kevin before saying "It was good, we learned more about each other and had fun, I also told him today about my parents and you and your family are my only family." Kevin nods then looks at her expectantly and says "And???" Mel giggles a little then says "And then he asked me to be his girlfriend, so... I umm... guess I won't be going back home." Kevin has a really big smile on his face as he squeals and says "OMG really? Oh that's great, I am so happy" and he pulls her in for a hug. Seriously this guy really should have been born a girl with all the squealing he does and giggling.
