Vengeance

                             Third Person p.o.v

                         ㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡ

Charlotte Heavenhart was about to meet death, five years into her life.

She breaths in and out as she closes her eyes.

The creature licked it's mouth as it sprints towards Charlotte, ready to feast in on her whilst the other creature did nothing but looked at Charlotte, with eyes almost pitying her.

                         ㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡ

The room was quiet. Only the breathings of those in there were heard.

Charlotte opened her eyes, slowly looking down as soon as she did.

She looks at her hands, and smiled. It was the creepiest smile she had ever given to her self.

Hah, I'm alive!

Charlotte laughs hysterically, she was creeped out by it, but she was happy.

"Are you done?" Charlotte flinched as she heard a man talk. "God, you were almost it's third victim, I told him we need to savor you livestocks, but he just won't listen. Tsk."

Charlotte immediately steps back, realizing her situation.

As she steps back, scared, she falls tripping on something. She took a look at what she tripped on and saw the other creatures head, rolling.

She looks forward and saw it's body, laying around on the floor.

No no no. I- what?

She felt scared, Charlotte started crying again.

Was I saved just to be eaten?

"Why are you so scared?" The creature said walking towarda her, stopping as soon as Charlotte back away.

"Am I that much of a monster?" The creature said as it crouched. Charlotte was way beyond afraid.

"I'm sorry....I'm really really sorry..." The creature started crying. The trembling Charlotte became confused.

Huh?

She reaches her hand out to the creature. "Mister? Are you...okay..?" She didn't know why she was asking him that. She didn't know why she wanted to comfort it.

Ah...I shouldn't

She backs her hand off, she wanted to comfort it but she was scared.

What if it's a trick? What if it eats her right after she lets her guard down?

The creature looked at Charlotte, she couldn't see it very well but she was already getting goose bumps.

She could feel this creatures glare. She could sense its hatred towards her. But why? She had never met this creature before so why? Why does it hate her so?

"Die." The creature mumbled. Charlotte couldn't understand what it was saying.

"What..?" She asked.

"DIE!!!" The creature shouted as its claws and teeths sharpened. It looked at Charlotte just as how the other creature did.

Charlotte trembles whimpering.

"Ehhh???" She heard another voice. It was a woman's voice this time. "You were here all this time?"

The creature turned to look at the female walking towards them.

"Eh? What stunned by my beauty?" The woman turns into a dramatic form, looks at the creature then smirks at him.

Charlotte looked at the woman, she could clearly see her as she was standing beside the door, light coming in directly at her.

A human..!

She smiled widely. The woman looked at Charlotte's gleaming face.

"Having a kid for a snack? What are you? A pedophile?" The woman laughed at the creature as she took out her gun and shooting the creature right towards its heart five times giving it no mercy.

The creature dropped onto the ground dead.

"You okay kid?" The woman asks walking towards Charlotte.

"Y-yeah..thank you." Charlotte answered. "You don't seem okay, you sure you ain't acting tough?" Charlotte shook her head. "Good, 'cause that's a weaklings job." The woman lended Charlotte a hand. "My name's Sarah Palin. Yours?" "Charlotte."

                           ㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡ

                               Two Days Later

                           ㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡ

"Hey kid, eat up." Sarah hands over a bowl of porridge to Charlotte.

"Hey Sarah.." Charlotte called out making Sarah turn around

"What is it?" Sarah asks as she sits down beside Charlotte.

"What.." Charlotte pauses for a while and then spoke again. "What were those things?" She looked at Sarah who had a sorry expression.

"Sorry Charlotte, I don't know either..." Sarah said apologizing and Charlotte nodded.

"Want anything?" Charlotte shook her head. "Okay, well call me if you need something. I'll get it for you." Sarah said closing the door, leaving.

Charlotte placed the bowl down onto the coffee table as she stared at the world outside the window.

It was festive. Sarah had brought her to the island she lived in. Unlike the city Charlotte once lived in, this was more high-tech, they had a more advance technology, Charlotte was amazed.

                         ㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡ

"Charlotte come outside, we have somewhere to go to." Sarah said as Charlotte walked outside towards her.

"Charlotte, get yourself together." She stopped and crouched down as she faces Charlotte. "I know, it's really sad losing your family like that but, it has been two days, you need to learn how to let people go." Charlotte couldn't believe Sarah said that.

"That's easy for you to say, isn't it?" She started crying. "YOU ARE SO INCONSIDERATE.My mom...she's gone and she's never coming back and I don't even know where my dad is...and my brother.." She sobbed.

"Well that's not gonna save you Charlotte, crying over it, mourning, you're just gonna get yourself killed." Sarah said holding her shoulders. "You need to stay strong, out there, outside this island, is a world full of horrors, your world completely changed." She paused, looking at Charlotte's eyes. "And if you want it to go back to the way it was before, then disregard your feelings, because that won't save you."

Sarah stood up. "If you don't wanna come with me, then don't. Stay here then. I'll pick you up when you're ready." Sarah said leaving Charlotte behind.

Charlotte watched Sarah leave on her motor bike. Charlotte stomped her foot in frustration, and then running.

She had no idea where she was going, but she couldn't honestly care. She just wants to run.

She kept on running and running until she got tired. Slowing down, she drops onto the ground.

She pabted and panted as her sweats dry off.

"You're gonna catch a cold at this point you know." Charlotte's eyes widen as she hears a very familiar sentence.

"If you catch a cold you won't be able to eat ice cream!"

Suddenly she sees a blur vision of a boy

(in her mind, like u know imaginary.)

"Who-" She coughs. "Common kid, stand up. This isn't a place for wimps like you." Charlotte stood up as she looks at the man in the eyes.

"I'm no wimp." She said glaring. "Woah, aren't you a tough fella." The man smirked at her. "Who's your mom? You got her number or something?" Charlotte shook her head. "Ah..." The man looked at her in silence. "Wait, you're not from this island right?" The man asks flicking his fingers.

"Yeah." Charlotte answered. "Then why aren't you there yet?" The man asks again. "There where?" Charlotte answered, this time with a confused look on her face.

"Hm you know what, it'll be better if I show you." The man offered his hand to Charlotte as he spoke. "The names Justin Curtis." He said expecting Charlotte to answer back. "Yeah..cool." She did, but she did not give him her name.

"Hm..hop in." Justin pointed towards his bike. He got in before Charlotte, and they drove off.

Where is this?

Charlotte thought as she got off the bike.

The place was full of people, children to be exact. There were adults but just a few.

"Can you wait here for a while?" Justin asked Charlotte as she just nods turning her head looking around.

Justin left her for a while and came back right away, with someone.

"Oh, so you came anyway." A woman with her arms crossed stood infront of Charlotte. She looked up just to see the woman, it was Sarah.

"So this is that kid you were talking about?" Justin came and stood beside her.

"Yeah, quite a wimp but, she's good potential." Sarah looked at Charlotte and then Justin.

"Hey kid." Justin calls Charlotte. "Do you wanna avenge your mom?"

"A..venge?" Charlotte looked at Justin.

She trembles in fear after suddenly remembering what happened to her mom.

She dropped onto the ground.

"Mom..." Her tears started falling.

"Tsk. Great job bozo." Sarah said leaving them as Justin watched her leave.

"I do." Charlotte said wiping her tears off. "I wanna slaughter them. Whatever those are, I wanna wipe them off from existence." Justin was a bit scared from seeing Charlotte's facial expression. But he was glad.

"Then do that." He handed his hand out. "Let's go?" Charlotte took his hand and stood up.

"Let's go."
