Sakura had to leave causing for the three boys to stay. They waited patiently up until the next day arrived, none of them left and none of the doctors left Bokuto's room as well. Every tick of the clock made Akaashi wait impatiently to of Bokuto's condition.
He never stopped over thinking about the current state even though he knew that this was expected for his faith. Kenma had tried to calm Akaashi down for the rest of the night while Kuroo passed out tired of waiting on his seat.
Cold sweat dripping on every question Akaashi asked were blanked. His eyes were on the verge of shutting them closed but he told himself that he'll wait for a little longer because he might be informed of the current situation.
After a night of waiting, a doctor had finally came out. Bringing the three men's attention to the doctor who seemed to be confused or feared to whatever he was about to say.
Akaashi's tongue was dry and so as the other two not knowing what to ask or either say to the puzzled doctor.
"It's just... unbelievable how his state was in critical condition. Although he was fine in the past few days, he started to develop insomnia and malnutrition causing him to have dark circles under his eyes and massive weight loss. Further sickness and symptoms will be revealed if we keep on a close eye on him."
The doctor who was slightly relieved that his patient is temporarily stabled along with the two. But Akaashi feared the doctors prescription more than anyone could.
"Ha...Have you ever thought about him developing Fa..Fatal familial insomnia?" Akaashi asked who's voice was in trembling fear.
The doctor whom gaped his eyes thinking of the chances that could happen "Possibly" He answered in a stale, saddened voice. The doctor excused himself for rest as he did check on Bokuto for nearly a day.
Kenma who was aghast of Akaashi admitting the faith of him and his destined to be. Kuroo had left to buy coffee for the three and Kenma glared to peek behind Akaashi's ear.
The star's pointy and sharp edges had been mixed, buried in his skin making it look like it's rounded. The color of his white star changed onto the lighter version of his skin color. Indeed Akaashi's star was fading quick and fast rather than to be expected. Kenma who had felt pity for his friend tapped his shoulder and gave his advice.
"Akaashi, if I were you, I would go in and have time with him"
The emerald eyed boy refused to take Kenma's advice as Bokuto should be sleeping or either resting from all that work last night. But he had to admit for himself that he was keen, he yearned for Bokuto's presence, still no matter how much he wanted to his mind wouldn't cooperate.
"Akaashi, I'm serious go see him. Time is priceless" Kenma who was on the verge or pushing his friend inside the unlocked door but Akaashi still refused, he was hesitant to place a finger on the knob.
Akaashi was scared to see Bokuto in a state he didn't want him to be, he was afraid that every time he opens the door to see Bokuto every day would actually be him seeing the boy suffering every minute till his last breath will be exhaled.
"The fear creeping in, I don't want it" Akaashi stated. Of course Kenma understood his hesitation but that wasn't enough to convince him.
"Afraid or not, you're going in" And before Akaashi processed to what Kenma blabbered he was already thrown stumbling inside the white, cold room of Bokuto.
The door behind him immediately shut closed, causing him and the patient agitate in surprise. Even if he did wanted to go out Kenma would be holding the door locked until he had been able to speak to Bokuto.
Slowly lifting his bowed head on the body on the bed. He saw the person he wanted to meet the most.
"Bokuto-san..." He whispered.
The boy on the bed faintly shifted his head towards Keiji.
"Akaashi..." Bokuto spoke in a weak, tired, suffering tone while holding the red scarf that who's his was before given by Akaashi.
