Chapter 9

It had been a couple days since the last time Bokuto and Akaashi met. Akaashi was more likely to be relieved.

Akaashi went home late at night due to the extra work that he was given. He wasn't exhausted but was stressed by the time given for Akaashi to finish his editing.

He went out to his balcony from his room and took out a cigarette from the box, He lit it up and inhaled the smoke that was being produced by the cigarette.

Everything was peaceful and all until eventually a text message popped up lighting his phone up.

[???]

Akaashi?

 [Akaashi]

 Ne? Bokuto-san

[Bokuto]

EH- HOW DID YOU KNOW?!

[Akaashi]

I just guessed.

[Bokuto]

Anyways, what are you doing???

[Akaashi]

Smoking

[Bokuto]

Throw it away.

[Akaashi]

What?

[Bokuto]

I said throw it away.

[Akaashi]

No.

[Bokuto]

Throw it away or I'll be doing it.

[Akaashi]

Okay then, do it yourself.

Akaashi scoffed and set aside his phone not believing his words, a couple moments later Akaashi's cigarette stick was burned off so he got another one. Akaashi would smoke 2-8 cigarette sticks a day depending on how stressed he is.

The cigarette sick lit up, Keiji inhaled the smoke and exhaling it. He was just resting his arms on the balcony railing till his doorbell rung. He was clueless at first on who would be ringing his doorbell in the middle of the night until he realized how it was.

"Sh*t, don't tell me your here" Akaashi cursed.

He quickly ran downstairs and unlocked the door. And by surprise he was there.

"Apathy-kun~ I'm here, now give me your cigarette" Bokuto asked.

Akaashi didn't care whether he was smoking or not so he threw the stick away. Bokuto watched Akaashi threw the cigarette and the owl head was satisfied.

"How the hell did you get here?!" Akaashi raged at Bokuto.

Bokuto chuckled and took out his phone saying "Akaashi-kun, never forget to turn off your location once done using" as he waved the phone across Keiji's face.

Keiji sighed and pushed the door wide open signalizing on Bokuto to come in.

"Bokuto-san come in"

Bokuto's face was enlightened with joy and stepped a foot inside, he carefuly observed the surroundings and realized.

"Akaashi, your place looks really familiar. Have we met before?" Bokuto queried.

Keiji glanced at Bokuto with sweat on his head.

"I don't know Bokuto-san, we probably never did. What do you think?"

"I think we did, but not in this life. Deja vu perhaps?"

"If we ever did then that would be weird, Bokuto-san"

"AHHHH? WEIRD? DON'T YOU THINK IT WILL BE REALLY COOL?"

"Probably"

"Agaasheee, your emotions and interest are little to nothing"

"It's not, your just a stranger I met in the cemetery that's why"

"HA? ME? STRANGER? DO STRANGERS EXCHANGE NUMBERS?"

"Maybe"

Bokuto looked at his watch and noticed that it was nearly 1 in the morning, he glanced at the window and saw he bright moon, he walked up to the window and gazed at the moon.

"Bokuto-san? What's the matter?" Akaashi asked.

"The moon... reminds me of your eyes. so pretty..." Bokuto answered.

Akaashi flinched in surprise and composed himself from being red. "Bokuto-san, stop stating non-sense"

"I'm not" Bokuto replied.

By that moment it was raining a heavy downpour. A thunderstorm is about to happen, Bokuto looked at Akaashi and Keiji sighed.

"Fine you can stay here, but only when the rain stops"

Bokuto was once again enlightened with joy and jumped on Akaashi to give him a hug. Keiji lightly pushed Bokuto away leaving an awkward atmosphere.

"Stay here, I'll get us something to watch"

"Alright" Bokuto responded.

Keiji walked upstairs and closed the door. he exhaled and his face went red, he was flushed when Bokuto hugged him.

"Keiji you idiot stop blushing" he said to himself, let out a big groan and took out a movie from his shelf.

When he went down and walked to the living room he saw Bokuto wrapped up in a blue blanket, the one that he loved keeping to himself before.

"A-ah- Akaashi sorry for touching your things without permission" Bokuto apologized as he removed the blanket from his head and placed it aside.

Akaashi inserted the disk inside the player and started to watch. He then sat down beside Bokuto on the couch and grabbed the blanket.

"Have it, use it. I don't mind" Akaashi said while wrapping the blue blanket around Bokuto's head and shoulders.

Bokuto then snuggled up inside the blanket and both watched the movie together. Everything went well until Akaashi's eyes slowly started to shut close, it was 1 in the morning so he should be tired.

Bokuto noticed and looked at him.

"Akaashi you can sleep"

"But it would disrespectful for me"

"So? It's your house, do what you want."

"But-"

"No, sleep and besides I will be occupied with the movie"

Akaashi looked at Bokuto in the eye and the owl head just gave him a reassuring smile. And in no time, he was already asleep.

Bokuto in the other hand was really invested with the movie and didn't feel sleepy at all, besides he's an owl right (Kidding)?

Three hours had passed and the movie was ending, Akaashi by that time already woke up. Keiji realized that his head was not resting on the couch anymore but on Bokuto's shoulder. He sat up straight and Bokuto looked at him with surprise.

"Oya? Akaashi! You're awake! The movie just ended though"

"It's fine... I watched it before so I don't think that would be a problem"

"Oh, I see. And how was your sleep? it seemed pretty well because you were gripping my arm"

"I- I beg your pardon, what did I do again?"

"You wrapped your arms on mine? saying 'Don't leave me' guess it was not a lovely dream after all"

Akaashi rubbed his eyes and looked out the window, he found that the rain had stopped and it was 3 in the morning.

"Bokuto-san you should get going, your household might get worried of you"

"Household? I live alone Akaashi"

"Oh, still you should get going it's already late and get some sleep Bokuto-san"

"About sleep, I have insomnia so I have trouble in sleeping"

"Insomnia? Did you found out that by yourself or the doctor prescribed you"

"I discovered it, why?"

"Get home, I'm taking you to the hospital tomorrow"

"W-what? The hospital? But Akaashi I'm healthy!"

"I know, just a daily check up Bokuto-san"

Akaashi was worried for Bokuto as he had insomnia, he wasn't sure if this was the starting point of his life going downhill. In Bokuto's past life he died due to Fatal familial insomnia (FFI)

Fatal familial insomnia (FFI)- is a rare genetic degenerative brain disorder. It is characterized by an inability to sleep (insomnia) that may be initially mild, but progressively worsens, leading to significant physical and mental deterioration. FFI has a zero percent survival rate.

Akaashi was overthinking all sorts unfortunate things.

"What is he dies"

"What if he's slowly dying"

"What if he really does have prison disease"

Akaashi was getting overwhelmed and it caused him to fall on the ground. He even wondered in his head

"I thought I didn't care for him, why am I like this...?"

He closed his eyes and placed his hands onto his head. He was breathing heavily and his mind was getting blank.

Just when Akaashi was about to loose his control Bokuto hugged Akaashi tightly. Akaashi didn't know what to do he just let it be.

"Akaashi-kun whatever your thinking right now, calm down. I may have no idea what it is but there's someone beside you okay? so please Akaashi calm down" Bokuto comforted.

And by his surprise Akaashi calmed down, his breathing went back to normal and his heartbeat slowly went down as well. He was calmed by the presence of Bokuto, and out of the blue Akaashi favored something.

"Bokuto-san... can we stay like this for a little while...please...?'

Bokuto didn't answer but instead be wrapped his arms tighter to Akaashi. Bokuto slowly rubbed Akaashi's back whispering "It's gonna be okay". And they stayed like that until the moon was slowly setting in the night clouds.
