"Keiji-chan! what would you like to order?" Sakura bubbled.
"I'll have my usual" Keiji said blankly to the waiter.
"I'll have my usual as well" Sakura responded.
Keiji who was annoyed and uninterested of Ms. Sakura decided to use his phone instead. Scrolling through social media every minute of Keiji spending time on his phone there will always be a notification popping from above.
It could be either a new follower, a comment, or a like from his posts. Keiji is always kind enough to like or respond to every comment he sees in his post.
Keiji didn't post as much like any other social media starts would. He was only forced by Ms. Sakura to get social media apps to not waste the model like figure of Akaashi.
"If I commented in your post would you reply to me? Your always kind to all of your mini supporters" Sakura Agonized.
"I probably would, If I hadn't met you"
"Ouch"
"... I'm sorry"
Keiji can't bear seeing a woman put on as a sad face, Keiji always had high respect to women as the society today aren't treating them well. So by using the little ways of Akaashi he would constantly respond to every other girl who meets him, and somehow never gets friends.
Shortly after their lunch was served with the delicious smell filling up his lungs. Keiji waited for Sakura to finish taking pictures and allowing her to eat first.
"Keiji-can your so polite among women, Why is that?"
Akaashi slowly placed his chopsticks on the table as he let out a sigh. As Sakura asked the question memories had crawled back to him like a volleyball being passed to him. Flashbacks started flinging through the raven heads mind.
"Keiji?" Her mom asked her child
"Hmm?" Akaashi looked at his mother
"Promise me something"
"What is it?"
Akaashi's mother knelt down to the height of his son and placed his hands among the Childs shoulders. His mother then let out a sweet smile before proceeding to speak.
"One day, mommy wont be around.
Please promise me that no matter what happens
Or whatever does happen.
Never hit a girl.
Never hurt a girl.
Never make a girl put a frown on their faces.
Even if the girl is bad, never commit those acts,
Alright sweetie?"
The young lad was confused on why his mother wanted to make a promise that he knew that he would never dare to hurt anyone, and that includes women.
"Okay..." Akaashi responded
Keiji wrapped his tiny arms to his mother and gave her a warm hug, this caused his mother to shed a tear.
"Why is mommy crying?
Did I hurt you?
Was my hug to tight?
I'm sorry..."
"No no, you did not hurt anyone sweetie. Mommy is just grateful to have a polite son like you."
Akaashi then placed his tiny hands on the cheeks of her mother and gave her a sweet smile. A smile where every mother would like to see.
However all good things will always lead to an end. Days after their talk, his mother had passed away due to assassination from another palace, as his mother was framed to be caught stealing in the royal garden of the empress.
Akaashi who gazed at his mothers grave as the rain start pouring above his head. Keiji sobbed as heavy as the rain and took a breath before whispering to his mothers grave.
"I will keep our promise..."
Akaashi had nearly shed a tear from the painful flashback that he had, so he took a glass of water and drank half of it to endure or either stop his emotional tragedy.
"Hello? Keiji to earth, Earth to Keiji?" Sakura said while snapping her fingers.
"I apologize"
"Was my question too personal? You could have remained silent."
Their lunch was awkwardly quite, during these times Sakura would babble the things that could fill up the silent atmosphere but this time however, they continued their meal.
"I didn't say anything that you should feel guilty, your free to talk" Akaashi acknowledge.
"Right..."
Sakura then continued her talk that was paused earlier until their meals had finished.
"Keiji-chan" Sakura whined.
"What is it Ms. Sakura?"
"Keiji-chan, you don't have to speak formally with me outsides, but that's not the point. I'm just really curious you know? So I have to apologize in advance but can you tell me your response now?"
"I don't think this question is necessary but... It was a promise that me and my Mom made"
"Oh I see
Well your Mom raised a good child
Can I met her?"
Akaashi flinched a bit as Sakura brought up her questions
"Yeah, meet me in the Ibaraki Prefecture Cemeteries"
Sakura was wide shock on how absurd she was asking a question so sensitive.
"Omg, Keiji-chan! I'm so so sorry for your loss"
"It's alright"
"And I'm also sorry that I can't come with you, Well you see I have Necrophobia "
Necrophobia; a specific phobia which is the irrational fear of dead things (e.g., corpses) as well as things associated with death (e.g., coffins, tombstones, funerals, cemeteries).
"It's fine"
"Well, I have to get going now. My shift will start soon, see you Keiji-chan"
Akaashi let out a nod as she escorts Sakura to get a cab.
Keiji then went to his car and drove to his house as his job today was finished.
"I'll see you soon mom, and... you too" Keiji said while looking at the picture frames of his Mother.... and soulmate.
