Chapter 00 - Prologue

Everything was engulfed in fire, destruction and wails of desperation.

"Why me!?"

"Spare me!!"

"Pleaseeee!!"

"I don't want to dieeeee!!"

Where ever one can look they can hear screams, pleads, appeals or even threats – of agony, fear, despair, anger, anguish and suffering. Some lost themselves in their wallowing. Some kept mumbling to themselves. Some kept crying hysterically. Some kept trying to survive; to live and get free from their clutches.

This was the scenario of the day after the biggest city capital of Artrisch was destroyed. It was the home and haven for Zenless people. Its destruction became the symbol of dominance of strong over weak; Zen people over Zenless people; inhumanity over humanity. For many ages Zenless people were living in Artrisch peacefully. It was the only city where no Zen person lived. It had always been the symbol of peace and equality. However, now that symbol was destroyed.

Zenless people last hope, last haven was destroyed. There was unrest. It was never to be expected to happen. Many small Zenless cities dreamed to become like Artrisch or to be merged with it. It was their hope to be par with Zen Cities.

But now it was destroyed, only to be the fairytale. Artrisch died with their natives.

"Did you hear the oldest kingdom of Artrisch has been destroyed?"

"Who... who did that?"

"Those gates were indestructible for so many years. Who was able to-?"

"But isn't it good? Now we will not be in fear anymore?"

"What fear? That whoever destroyed them; they might come for our land?"

"NO!! Now there is no Zenless Kingdom; that means no zenless will come for us; Zen peop-"

"But they were peacef-"

"It surely is our kingdom who won over it."

"But, then... what about treaty?"

People in every kingdom begin to assume; that it might be one of the Big Zen; who had closed the chapter for Zenless kingdom – even though they promised to never to disturb them. However, the question was which kingdom had done it.

"But is it true that no one survived?"

"Yes! Those gates and barriers were destroyed the whole capital was mess; not a single house left."

"Every single person; not even a hair of theirs left as if there was never a soul lived once."

"What would happen to us now? We are not even-"

"We are not from Artrisch. We will live as we were living; in shadows."

"But they will surely treat us more r-"

"Why would they? We d-"

"STOP CUTTING ME OFF!!..... Why wouldn't they? Artrisch never did anything against anyone; if they were destroyed without any mercy. Why would they keep us? We are also Zenless."

Fear and unrest made Zenless people more scared of Zen. They began to hate Zen more and more; at the same time their own existence as Zenless began to prick them.

As people were assuming why and who could do that. Most of the people could only think of one kingdom that could possibly wanted Artrisch to be vanished – that was Dratras.5 The kingdom of Dratras ruled by the most eccentric king who only thinks of finding new ways for his amusement. It was a known fact to every person that he always wanted to enter Artrisch but he was always denied by them.

So, most of the people had already decided that Dratras is the one who could have done this.

"But Dratras never let any Zenless near their boundary."

Dratras king made a rule to not let any Zenless in his kingdom and not even near his kingdoms boundary.

However; no one can accuse them of that destruction. No one saw who destroyed it. No war was seen, no deployed army was seen. Only proof was smoke and destroyed kingdom. No one knows when it happened.

The Big Zen – the four strongest Zen kingdom; called for a summit to discuss the matter and find the culprit. This unrest was affecting their people but it was dissolved when Dratras refused to come because he said that he has better things to do and why does he even care about them who doesn't give a damn about the people outside their boundary.

It led to only one solution – three of the Big Zen decided to help each other and calm the unrest and chaos; and if they find out that Dratras had defied the treaty then there will be consequences.

Artrisch – the biggest ancient city where only Zenless beings lived. It was the only city with autonomous rule. It never had any ties with other countries. It was zenless country but city it was considered most powerful than Big Zen.

Zen – it is energy which exists within in living beings. One needs to cultivate it to use it as its own. It said to be exists in every being but it was not the case. Even the technology they use can be access with it.

Zenless – people who does not possesses Zen and lives their differently as compare to people with zen. Even their technology is different as they cannot use zen.

Big Zen – this name was given to the four biggest Zen Kingdoms. They are the most powerful among others kingdoms and always provide law and order.

Dratras – one of the Big Zen Kingdom.
