Solidad screams from the ward she lay, struggling on the bed. Her voice struck through the hospital like thunder.

The nurses and doctors try to hold her down but to no avail , she slip through their hand back on the bed.

No please don't do this to me ....!

Don't leave me here ..., Nelson...., please..

She cried, trying to run out but she was injected and finally felt unconscious.

ah.....

Solidad shouted and slept off innocently like a baby.

MR. SIMON'S MANSION

All is done sir, a man announced.

Good job, hope you did a clean work. I don't want any traces.

Mr. Simon asked with a smile.

Yes sir...! No traces the man replied.

Perfect now let's see how he will come back from the grave for the hand.

Call the contractors to start work on that land tomorrow.

He orders Felix and laughs satisfactorily.

NEXT DAY

HOSPITAL

Aimscious slowly opened her eyes, looked around but did not see anyone.

Where am I and how did I get here ? , she asked herself.

The last I remember , I was at the school's restroom and then....

She pulled herself to sit up,

Ouch, its hurts....

She felt a sharp pain at the back of her neck.

Suddenly , she saw the door flip open.

Hey , Aimscious, you are awake, Mart called with a smile on his face.

Hey, Mart, yeah, come in. She replied with a weak smile.

He went closer to her, took her hand and kissed it gently.

How are you?, he asked.

feeling better now but where are the rest? , Mum, Dad, Betty and Nicole.

With a pale face, she stretch her neck in search of them but there was so sign of them anywhere.

He panicked and a sudden silence filled the room, the smile on his face faded and he dropped her hand unconsciously.

What is wrong with you? why are you quite suddenly.

why are you not answering my question? where are they.

She asked a bit intense with a worried face.

He faked a smile,

ummmm, they are fine. Just that there was an emergency at home so they could not come. They asked me to come check on you.

He replied in one breath. She felt a bit odd of Mart's sudden change of attitude and the excuse he gave.

What could be so urgent that even Nicole could not come with him ? she thought.

She was about to say something when a doctor walked in.

Good morning miss Aimscious , how are you feeling today, the doctor asked.

A lot better, she said with a smile.

The doctor made some checks , smiled and said,

Everything is fine now. She will be discharged soon. Excuse me.

" OK doctor, thank you" , Mart replied.

The doctor left after finalizing everything.

I will tell you everything you need to know when we get home....

Mart told her and packed her things out . She stood in the ward confused,

Why is he acting so strange today? what is the meaning of what he just said?

Lost in thoughts, She followed him out of the hospital.

MART'S HOUSE

After an hour drive, the cab pulled over at Mart's house. He got down, put the things at the gate and helped Aimscious out of the cab.

He opened the door and called,

Mum.... , Mum...., we are home

His mum rushed out of the kitchen to welcome them

Hi, dear, come in Aims. How are you feeling today?

Am fine mum, she replied.

Come here sit down.

She helped her to the guest room and made her rest on the bed.

Mart, help me get something for her to eat. She called.

Mart rushed to the kitchen and returned with milk and some snacks. He sat by her and watch her eat.

I will be in the kitchen, if you need anything, just let me know.

Mart's mother excused herself. After she was done eating, she turned to Mart and asked.

Why did you bring me to your house? , Why didn't you take me home, to my house?

Mart looked at her with teary eyes and said in a faint tone ,

"there is something you need to know".

What is it Mart, please tell me, she urged with a worried tone.

" a lot last night, Aims. Last night....."

Tears drop from his eyes as he starts explaining to her .

" there was fire in your house yesterday ".

What! how.....? so where is my family ?, she exclaimed in tears.

I don't know what caused the fire but ..... , he breaks down in tears.

am sorry we lost , Betty , Nicole and your dad.

She felt a sharp pain in her heart and screams ,

What....! No...., she breaks down in tears , tossing and turning on the floor.

Mart wrapped his hands around her crying. Mrs. Gifty , Mart's mother heard the screams and rushed to the room. She became sorrowful at the scene and hugged them consoling.

Where is my mum?

Aimscious asked with a weak voice.

At the hospital, she collapsed at the scene.

Mart replied.

Please take me there ,I want to see her.

She pleaded with a faint ,weak voice.

No, you are not so strong now, you just returned from the hospital. You have to take some rest now please.

Mrs. Gifty tried to calm her .

No , I want to see my mother now....! , she shouts crying. She felt broken and weak within.

Mrs. Gifty cuddled her in her bosom comforting. She turned to Mart and said,

Let's take her to see her mother.

They both set off back to the hospital.

HOSPITAL

Aimscious rushed through the halls of the hospital in search of her mother. She finally found the ward her mother was.

She opened the door slowly, and saw her mother looking miserable on the bed, facing the roof. She was awake but calm now.

Aimscious moved slowly towards her mother and stood beside her bed. Solidad did not notice when her daughter got in.

Aimscious took her hand and placed it in her palm gently.

Mum....? , she called.

Solidad looked down with a pale , weak and teary face.

Aimscious.....? when did you come here? are you OK?

They both starts crying after seeing each other. Sofia hugged her daughter,

Everything is gone Aims.

Nicole , Betty and Dad ,they are all gone. We've lost everything. How am I going to take care of you? All hope is lost.

They all broke down in tears.
