Fire! fire!! fire!!!!!

Nelson shouted banging Betty's door loudly.

Knock , knock , knock!!!!

She heard the shout deep in her sleep. She sprung out of bed in a daze. Her room was filled with thick smoke which made it hard for her to see. She felt dizzy and started coughing profoundly.

Dad!!! , Dad!!!! , Dad!!!

cough... , cough. ... , cough.

help me !!!!! , I can't see anything.

She shouted and fell on the floor choking with smoke.

Betty! Betty! Betty!!!

Nelson and Nicole called but there was no response. They broke the door and found her on the floor almost lifeless.

Betty!!! , Nicole shouted.

Betty, Betty , please wake up.

Nelson called shaking her but there was no response. Nicole carried her and Nelson followed, rushing to the door but the fire caught up with them.

OUTSIDE THE HOUSE

The neighbours stood outside screaming and shouting for help. Others were trying to put the fire off.

Call the fire service ...., one exclaimed with panic.

we've already done that, they are on their way..., another shouted.

INSIDE THE HOUSE

The smoke made it difficult for them to see. Nelson slipped and fell from the stairs . He got stuck, unable to move.

ouch.....

Nicole! , carry Betty and get out of the house.

He exclaimed in a faint and weak voice.

No dad! I will get you out of there!

Nicole dropped Betty on the floor and went to help his dad. He was pulling him out, then suddenly,

Dad!! Dad!!....., Nicole screamed

Nicole...!!!! , get out....., Nelson shouted.

the house collapsed on them.

The fire service van soon pulled over in front of the house but it was too late to rescue the victims inside the house. They begun putting off the fire in order to retrieve their bodies.

How many were they in there? a fire fighter asked.

They were three sir, a man replied.

THE HOSPITAL

Sofia sat beside Aimscious' with her head on the bed. Mart had already left leaving Sofia alone with her.

Aimscious was still not awake and Sofia slept off waiting for her to open her eyes. Suddenly her phone started ringing.

buzz... buzz... buzz....

She woke up startled by the ring of her phone. Sofia answered with a stressed look,

hello, is this Mrs. Sofia Nelson? ,the voice asked.

Yes, please who is this? she replied confused.

Am Mr. Philip, from the Police crime investigation center and am calling to inform you of a development at your home, please can you come to your residence now?

The voice explained.

OK , sir , I will be there soon. Thank you.

She responded , leaving the hospital in a hurry.

THE NELSON'S HOUSE

Sofia got to the street leading to her house. She was surprised to see a lot of people coming from her compound wailing and cursing.

What is going on here? , She asked in a confused state.

Soon the cab pulled over in front of her house but was shocked at the scene that met her eyes.

Nelson! , Nicole! , Betty!

She run towards the house calling.

Sofia was about entering the house when a fire fighter pulled her out.

Where is my family? , Nicole, Betty and Nelson. Where are they? Someone please answer me.

She screamed with pain, crying.

Sorry we lost them, a voice replied.

No....!!!!!!!!!

She screamed and fainted.

HOSPITAL

Aimscious lay in her bed ,still not awake. A shadow opened the door slowly and entered. It gently move towards her bed in order to prevent any suspicion.

The shadow stopped when it got Aimscious' s bed, gazed at her and sneered,

Let's see how you escape this time.

The voice uttered, and gave an evil smile. Its lifted it hand to pour a liquid substance in a small bottle on her when its suddenly saw a nurse coming towards the room.

"No matter where I go, I will be back for you Aims", the shadow cursed and flew away.
